Satellite A300D is runnig but the screen remains black

Hello!

I have a big problem with my Satellite A300D.

This morning I forgot to connect my laptop to the net elec, and so my battery drains.
When I reconnected and restarted my laptop I could see the Toshiba and splash screens of Windows, but after these the laptop screen becomes black.

You can see the cursor, but the rest disappeared.
The screen is all black.

Strangely, when I press ctrl + alt + delete, the vista opens again, and I can select and view the Task Manager.

What should I do!

Hello

There is a solution that could help bring back the screen.
in Notepad, remove the battery and unplug the AC adapter.
Wait about 30 minutes and reconnect the two parts.
Then try again to put the laptop.

In many cases, this procedure helped to set something like this.

Good luck

  • MacBook Pro 2015 turns on but the screen remains black...

    Hello

Today, I tried to turn on my MacBook Pro, but my screen stays black. When I press the caps lock button, it turns green which I guess means he lit. I've also heard the startup chime it generally makes when you turn on. I already tried to turn it on and off several times and reset the SMC and the LANDAU... The screen is always black.

    Could someone help me please?

Also a few minutes ago the fan has started to make noise in the macbook...

    But the screen remains black.

    Thank you

    Shaynidw

    Hi shaynidw,

From your description, it seems that your MacBook Pro is powered, as soon as you hear the startup chime and see the light on the keyboard.  Thus, it seems that the problem may be with your screen or the video card.

On the screens you see when you start your Mac

    Power on

When you turn on your Mac, display is off (black) and you hear a startup chime. Your Mac Initializes his BootROM and memory (RAM live). It then performs a power - on that self test (POST) and a test of BootROM. If you hear beeps or chimes at this stage, this indicates a possible hardware problem and start stops. If you add memory to your Mac, check that it is installed correctly.

    White screen

After that only walking self-test is completed, your Mac sends a video signal to your connected screens. The screen may appear black or grey at this point in the boot sequence and backlight of the screen should light up. If you do not see the image appears on your screen after a few moments, try increasing the brightness of your screen. If you use an external monitor, make sure it is properly connected and turned on.

shaynidw, if set up the brightness of your screen does not help, you have an external display (computer screen or TV) that you can attach to your MacBook Pro to test?

In addition, you can try to start your computer in safe mode to see if you get different results.

Try safe mode if your Mac does not end commissioning

If the problem persists, you may need to take your computer to an Apple Store or service provider authorized Apple , so they can inspect the video card and cables to isolate the problem.

    Take care.

  • Acer blue 720 and the fan are on but the screen remains black

    Hello

I appreciate any help that can be provided.  I tried to remove the batter on my daughter 720 and reinsert, but this problem persists.  I can hear the fan and the blue light turns on but the screen remains black.  I tried to rest for 30 seconds and esc, refresh and power.

    Thank you

Well, when the scrween does not at all (even in text mode which allows a recovery) then it is most often a problem with the cable bwteeen the motherboard and screen, most often following it is a failure of the screen (which requires generally a matter of co-location as cracked screen) and from time to time, it is the motherboard. Probably time to contact Acer support to see on a repair.

  • Alienware x 51 starts, but the screen remains black.

I bought my x 51 all with warranty 1 year ago a year and a half, recently it has been giving me some problems and today I can't use it yet at all.

The problem started with my screen remains black when I turned on my computer (punt, never awake from sleep), but which would be corrected by me once or twice by restarting the computer. That did not last too long, and soon it did not matter how many times I rebooted the computer. I finally had to unplug the computer and press and hold the power for 30 seconds to see if it worked.

He did, but this solution has worked only once, and now I have nothing seems to regularize my situation. I tried switching monitors and cables with my brother (who is an identical 51 x), but nothing has worked.

    To summarize:

    My computer turns on.

Not funny lights or noises (save a beep on startup)

Screen remains black on reboot of the screen it says he receives no signal and falls asleep.

No problem when it runs normally (not funny colors, stripes on the screen or blur).

Help, please. Dell support wants 70 to 110 dollars to listen to even my problem, which is money, that I don't have at the moment.

Thanks for anything that might help!

Sounds like you have a dead video card, from the link above looks like there is no output from vga Intel to tun tests, you must remove the old video card and test with another video card that works to verify that the card is in fact dead, like your brothers x 51 remove the video card and test it on your machine.

If I had this machine in front of me I would use one of these babies for once then run tests on the video card.

    Perform a hard reset

I added an external monitor and restart the computer. All seeing power are on, fan and hard make sounds and still nothing on both screens.

    Reinstall all hardware

Still nothing but black on both screens.

Is it possible that a virus could cause black screen and does not start.  Seems the laptop crashes, because all the lights remain.

    Hello

It of hard to say what's going wrong here, but maybe it s just a small issue that could be solved easily.
    Try this;
Remove the battery, disconnect the adapter.
A few hours and reconnect the two parts.
I had this problem in the past and leave the laptop disconnected during the night.
The next day, I connected battery and adapter A\c and the laptop worked again

    Try a hard reset:

Remove the battery and unplug the DC power adapter.
Press and hold the power button for more than 15 seconds.
Plug the DC power adapter (leave the battery for now)
    Press the power button

    Please post your results here.

  • HP2000 369wm: connected replacement screen, the screen remains black.

Hi I'm new here, I tried to find the solution here, but I can't find what I'm looking for but anyway...

My laptop had a broken screen so I used an external monitor via the vga input. One day I was messing around on the web and I got a virus that paralyzed the system that all frozen cuz then I thought that if I plugged in my phone that I could try to fix it, but eventually transmitting it to my phone, but luckily I could reset it. I thought that if I replaced my screen that I would be able to get the screen for boot sequence or something but the screen remains black and externally will not work. There is something lacking in me to use the primary monitor, I just put? Or is there a way I can format without being able to see? I'm sure that the virus all messed up my boot sequence, but without seeing the screen and unable to use external, I am at a loss.

is there another number or anything I should post?

Here is your model and it doesn't have a Vista operating system... it's a Windows 7 or Windows 8 double, so check again?

It shows that a single panel comes with this laptop.

  • Qosmio X 770 turns on but the screen remains blank

The hd works fine again, I tried to plug it into a TV to see if it works, but no signal is found. I was informed by a friend that it could be a problem with the graphics card, I wonder if it can simply be exchanged if I buy a new one or if he joined, and I have to replace the whole motherboard?

    Any help would be appreciated.

Even if the HARD drive is faulty, the laptop should be able to IT and you should see the home Toshiba on the internal display screen.
If its definitely NOT drive HARD problem.

You said that you have connected the laptop to the TV. You see the start of Toshiba on the external monitor (TV) screen? Are you able to access the BIOS by pressing F2?

If this is not the case, there is certainly a hardware problem.
It could be a fault of memory modules, graphics card or the same motherboard malfunction could be possible.

GPU problems or the motherboard, the whole motherboard must be replaced and that's expensive fix because mobo belongs more expensive laptop.

    Hi Bilipino,

You have more than one display card? Try to connect your monitor to the another card and see if you can get the display.

After the loading of barbie, equestrian club, his game is ok but the screen is black and doesn't let me do anything

    Hello

    1. what operating system is installed on your computer?
    2. is it works much earlier?
    3. don't you make changes before the problem?

Check if the game is compatible with Windows 7 Compatibility Web site. The game mentioned above is not listed in the compatibility Web site, it may or may not be compatible with Windows 7.

I suggest that you follow these steps and check if the problem persists.

    Step 1:

Update of your display drivers and check if the problem persists.

    Step 2:

    Reduce hardware acceleration and check.

    a. click the Start button, Control Panel.
    b. now, select appearance and personalization. under display, select adjust screen resolution.
    c. now, select adjust the resolution.
    d. click Advanced settings.
    e. now, click the Troubleshooting tab, and select the change settings button.
    f. in the Security dialog box, click on continue.
    g. move the hardware acceleration slider to the third notch.
    h. click OK.
    i. restart Windows.

    Step 3:

If the game worked fine in the earlier version of the operating system, I suggest you run the game in compatibility mode.
