  The Satellite A500 PSAR9A is the same series of portable as PSAR9E.
  The only difference is that PSAR9A has been released in Australia and PSAR9E in Europe.

  Some assignments in the past I've understand that Win7 drivers cannot be used with Win8 so you have to wait until Toshiba starts Win8 support for all models of laptops.   I have the Toshiba Win7 install discs, but I have 2 questions.

  1: I installed the 32-bit version, but I can't find the 32-bit drivers (reinstalled). The Australian Toshiba site is the only one that recognizes my model (PSPCCA OC201Y), but it offers only drivers for win7 64 bit.

  2: I'd really rather do a clean install of the 64-bit system (the disk too) but it seems no way to do. In an upgrade, it offers the possibility, in a clean installation, it doesn't.

  You need a Microsoft Windows 7 64-bit system disk. I doubt that Microsoft Win 7 32 bit disk also contains the 64-bit version.

  If you do not find the Win7 drivers on the support page of Toshiba which means your old model of laptop is not supported for Win7.
  What you can try is to use the drivers of other models of laptops with the same hardware configuration and see if that will help.
  I am skeptical about it because I tried the same thing with my old Satellite M70 and I wasn't able to install all the stuff from Toshiba.

  But as mentioned in the Toshiba page provides us with some Beta Win 7 drivers for different notebook series it s worth a try
  In addition, you can try to install Vista using Win 7 OS drivers.
