Satellite A305-S6825: WLan has stopped working
I'm in the United States. (I posted this message earlier)
#1-I just bought Toshiba notebook a month or two ago with Vista Premium SP1.
A day ago when I turned on the laptop, I got a notice to the effect:
Windows Wireless Lan 802.11 Extensibility infrastructure has stopped working.
-> Are looking for a solution later (recommended) the next time that you start the system
-> Closed
Those who were only two choices. I think I clicked on the first "search for a solution later.
When I turned on laptop today, I got the same message.
Anyone know what could be wrong with this new laptop?
I use the wireless to enter IE7 and type your message.
My husband and I are elderly and not too familiar with computers or computer language so if anyone has an answer, please make it simple enough for us to understand.
We hope that this new laptop is not already broken.
We cannot afford to buy another computer or have it repaired.
#2-we tried to send questions by e-mail to MS, but they asked the PID. We looked in Control Panel and system (I think) and typed in the PID of there (OEM number), but it would not recognize MS.
Can someone please help?

PS: We have the DSL cable attached to our desktop (modem/router) and use this Toshiba laptop with modem/router of this office to get online (don't know if that is the correct terminology that someone else connected DSL, etc.).

I agree with Kody and I think also there is a software problem or the WIFI network is not properly enabled. I use the European model of laptop, but I don't think that there is some difference of laptop models to the United States.
If you want to use the WLAN, it must be enabled correctly. At first make sure that the WLAN switch is placed in position ON. The WLAN led should be on. After doing this using FN + F8 key combination to activate the wireless network card. When you press the FN key and keep down. Maps flash in high must be indicated. Always keep the button FN, but press F8 and select Wi - Fi ON.
So now the wireless network card must be activated, and you should also be able to connect to your WLAN.
If the problem persists, you can try to roll back the OS to an earlier time (when the network WIFI works well). To do this, you must start System Restore tool. Choose different restore point and to the next day when you think about the WIFI worked well.

Satellite Pro L20: Adapter WLan has stopped working and will not allow

I have a L20 Pro Satalite, which works very well. However, just before Christmas 2006, the adapter wireless (Atheros AR5005G) has stopped working.
Windows XP Pro SP2 can see the adapter and network connections shows as being activated, but he sees not all networks.
The Atheros Client Utility says that the adapter pases troubleshooting TI test diagnosis up to the Radio, when he says that the Radio is disabled and must be enabled in the Client utility.
'Excellent!', I thought: opening the utility forward. Looked in the Action menu to find "turn on the Radio" is greyed out!

I have the same problem, sometimes using my U400.
This happens if the room is dark for the camera.
If something like this happens to you that I recommend that you keep your finger in front of the webcam for a short period.
After that, the image of the webcam should come back again in my case it worked. -
Satellite U300-130 - TosBtMng has stopped working after installing Nokia PC Suite
I have the same problem too... with Toshiba Satellite U300-130.
Bluetooth worked well enough before I installed the Nokia PC Suite for my mobile on my PC (new version 7.1.26.0 Web site).
To be correct, as a first step, I even managed to maintain a connection between the PC and the Nokia Bluetooth and ran the synchronization of the contacts. I tried several times, but each time synchronization run ended with the message "PC couldn't get response from your Nokia.
After the reboot, my PC went crazy and started broadcasting the message "TosBtMng has stopped working" and it restarted every time that I ask him to close.
Installation of the new version of BT Stack (6.40) does not resolve this error.

A few weeks ago, I noticed that the ethernet adapter has stopped working. It has disappeared from the Device Manager, and I can only access internet by wifi.When I turn off wifi and connect the ethernet cable (which connects to the modem) nothing works.
I tried to restore the windows settings, but that didn't work.Can someone help me?
It is possible that the LAN module is defective.
All you can do now is to check and install the original recovery image and check the functionality with the factory settings. If the problem persists it is definitely hardware problem.I think that it is not worth to fix it if you can continue to work with WLAN connectivity.

Satellite Pro A300 - 2C5 has stopped working

I have a problem with my Toshiba Pro A300 - 2C5.
It stopped working today.I have paid a top tea but removed is as fast as possible but a little water got inside my laptop.
He worked for a while, I turned off and it works again an hour later, but unfortunately it has stopped working.When I try to turn it on, the syptoms are as follows:
-the only light that shines is a power indicator light
-l' screen does not work at all (it stays black and went offshore)
-fan works
-It seems hard disk does not work if Windows does not start
-the keyboard does not work, when I hit tke keys nothing happenes, I tested the Caps Lock key, but not flashing

The anomaly can be related to different laptop parts in the worst case the liquid spill damage the motherboard and you will need to replace the part.

Satellite L770 - ethernet adapter has stopped working

I have three laptops all connectable to my home hub, but I seem to have serious problems with the latest model, L770-13D. The signal strength has never been as good as the older models, and most recently the Ethernet adapter has stopped working. I have updated drivers on the two adapters, but it did make a difference. I recently updated my connection and I wonder if the Ethernet adapter is not configured correctly because it was working fine before the upgrade.I also tried almost all the tests I can do - Toshiba config doctor returned a FAILURE on the verification of the material that I did, but the device manager says that the two network cards work OK. Also, troubleshooting reports wireless adapter that it "can be a problem", the evidence seems to be directed towards a hardware problem with this laptop.
Any thoughts?
Have you noticed this Ethernet problem on the first day? Otherwise, I recommend you to reinstall the OS using original recovery image and test once more with the factory settings. Recovery image contains the drivers right and tested. It is also configured to be used immediately after the first start, so it shouldn't be a problem.

Same installation of 64 bit Windows 7 on another laptop didn't have problems like that.

To me that sounds like that the DMI information is missing, and if you get this error message...
You use the Toshiba drivers directly?Usually the DMI information is missing, if the motherboard was exchanged and technicians forgot to re - write this information.
In this case contact the guy again and they will do that for you! :) -

If you didn t do a backup before deleting upper and lower filters that you can t restore it. This could be a bit difficult so, normally, you should always make a backup before you change or delete something in the Windows registry.

My problem is that all of a sudden all my network interfaces have stopped working. I don't think that my operating system is the problem because I run linux as well as windows and it does not work in any of the 2. Both my local network and my wireless lan doesn't work, please help.
It's really rare that two devices; LAN and WLan stopped working and in Linux or Windows, you can use these cards.
In my opinion, your laptop is OK, but I think that your router to malfunction.
It would be the most simple and plausible explanation.

I have a Satellite Pro M70 and the wireless stopped working. The yellow light lights up for a few seconds for the machine to wake up but then turns off. I rebooted several times, but that did not help. In your reply please clarify abbreviations - thank you!

Satellite 1900-303 Touchpad: has stopped working
The touchpad on my Satellite 1900-303 has suddenly stopped working for no apparent reason. The touchpad icon has disappeared from the office toolbar & I do not see the touchpad listed in Device Manager. However, the ALPS touchpad driver is listed in the installed programs.
The laptop runs on XP Pro SP2. Can anyone help with this please?
