Satellite A305-S6992E recovery error

I have a set of two disks of Vista SP1 disks for my A305-S6992E.

I tried to move the HARD drive to a larger and bought a HARD drive and installed.
I put the recovery disk and click on it to return the computer to factory settings.

It took a lot of time, reading data from the disk, then creating files and complete the installation.
Restart the computer, I get the little scroll bars green, while the load Vista, happens on the pretty blue-green screen, and it said "Please wait while windows continues to set up your computer...". "then I get an error dialog that says:

+ The computer restarted unexpectedly or encountered an unexpected error. Windows Setup cannot continue. To install Windows, click "OK" to restart the computer, and then restart the installation. +

I have read several forums saying to use the F8 option at startup to repair, but repair is not an option in the start menu. My choice of boot mode safe and ends with start Windows normally.

I tried to re - run the program of recovery disks and messed with a few variations (with or without re-partitioning, verification of memory, etc.), but still, it returns to the same spot and stops with the same error.

Any advice greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

Hi mate

You said that you have upgraded the HARD drive.
Have you noticed the same problem installing using the old HDD?
Please check this! It would be useful to know if the new HARD drive could be the problem.

I also recommend to check the BIOS.
There is an option (or should be) called SATA mode. Try putting it in compatibility mode and then try to reinstall the operating system

Good luck

    Hello Aokank

On this forum you can find many useful sons on new models of laptops (like your) and recovery. I can write the whole strory about and explain how it works, but there is a problem: I am originally from Europe and you have a portable US model.

I'm afraid that the principle can be a little different as here in Europe.

So I recommend you to visit us Toshiba forum under http://community.compuserve.com/n/pfx/forum.aspx?webtag=ws-laptop&redirCnt=1 and I hope that someone can give you a precise answer to all your questions.

  • Satellite A305-S6843 - recovery disk anli Does the second HDD too?

I have two TRUE separated different hard disks inside (200 GB each).
I got to a point where I have to start all over again... If I want to use the recovery disk, that I had with the laptop. but then I get into a stage where I can choose "erase the hard drive.

My question is: will it erase ONLY the reader of the OS (c :))? or also in the other drive (d :))?
I have a lot of files in the second drive, I want to keep.

    Thanks in advance,
    Ofer

    > Recovery disk does not erase the second HDD too?
MOM restore disk will delete all data and partition on the first HARD disk.
All the data saved on the second HARD drive are safe and will not be affected.

I have Satellite Pro P300 with two hard drives and I tested it several times.
If you have important data on the first disk HARD just moving to the second HARD drive and install the OS by using Toshiba recovery image.

  • Satellite Pro L870-172 error 003 when retrieving the recovery DVDs

    Hi all

Having a devil of a time with this portable darn. So I bought the recovery dvd. tried to boot from the disk and comes with no OS bootable. Thinking it could be a problem with the optical drive, I created a bootable usb key.

Received the usb key to start

So I goto Toshiba Recovery Wizard
Press Yes to say it will wipe the drive.
    Retrieves the software factory default
In the end, I get an error message

    Error: 003
    Recovery error

Press ok to start the computer

You can see the final screen here.

    Can anyone help plleeaaaseeee.

The only thing I can think is that maybe when I created the USB startup key should I copy then disk2 on the stick as well using xcopy.

I think there are several reasons for the error.
The recovery media or the hard drive is may be defective. Wrong settings of the BIOS, etc...

I recommend you to check once more the Toshiba Recovery bootable disc.
I don t think that there might be a problem with the optical disc drive.
From my point of view, it could be a bad BIOS setting.

The Satellite Pro L870-172 has been pre-installed with the system Win 8.
Please check start secure as well as the UEFI boot mode option in the BIOS.

Generally, in order to be able to boot from different devices to boot, secure boot must be disabled.

  • Satellite A305 - error message keep appearing from

    Hello, I have a Satellite A305-S6857 laptop
A few days ago to XP downgrade Vista. It worked well but suddenly yesterday when I restart windows,.

    * the system has recovered from a mistake of the serosa

A log of this error has been created

For more information about this error, click here * so I clicked and it said

    error signature
    BCCode: 1000007e BCP1: C0000005 BCP2: BA430F76 BCP3: BA513C94
    BCP4: BA513990 OSVer: 5_1_2600 SP: 3_0 product: 256_1

So I simply ignored, did cancel but it keep poping up and I made reports but it did not work either.
So I restart again but still the same. Every time I have restart this pop-up.

So I googled on this topic and I've done something and I think after I did uninstall and reinstall a driver GMA an another error message too. It says * the Publisher could not be verified. are you sure you want to run this software? * and I say yes, he shows me another one same thing 3times.

It's really annoying and after that I got a few messages pop up, my computer has become slow and sometimes it stopped

    help me guys...

    > He says that the Publisher could not be verified. are you sure you want to run this software?
Maybe something wrong with the graphics card driver or other software which is not certified by Microsoft

Did you use some third-party software, tools and 3rd applications?
Have you installed the drivers from Toshiba or other websites of third 3rd page?

Check the msconfig-> Start up tab and take a look at the list of background processes.
If there are some applications that are not known to you, then turn it off.

In the worst cases, you need to reinstall the OS.

  • Satellite A305-S6872 - lack of Vista recovery DVDs

I buy Satellite A305-S6872 months back now, I want to recover my laptop back to the factory setting. I have a virus problem...

But when I have I bought didn't find any CD/DVD recovery in the box. Computer laptop hasn t any recovery partition...
There is an option in the start menu to create the backup of the drivers and application...
Can someone tell me the solution? Is it possible to get this recovery CD/DVDs or download the image of this...

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello

New laptop models are supplied without recovery CD/DVDs. The recovery image is saved on the HARD drive and you must create a recovery only media. I don't know how it works on US, laptops, but it should be similar with the European specifications. This means, on your desktop, you will find a shortcut for Toshiba recovery disc creator. Use of high quality DVD-R and create recovery media.

Another option is to perform HARD drive recovery. To start press F8 for advanced boot option and check if there is option called repair my computer or something like that. Choose this option and simply follow the menu on the screen.

  • Recovery disc creator is not installed on the Satellite A305

It turns out that this laptop (Satellite A305) doesn't have the included Recovery Disc Creator! ...

    There is none
Start - Programs - recovery Disk Creator.
    Neither
"C:\Program Toshiba Toshiba Recovery Disc Creator\."
    Neither
"TRDCLcher.exe" anywhere on the hard drive (including the hodden records)

I do not delete anything, I was fully aware of the importance of the creation of a RD
There is only a 'applications and drivers disc creator' which, in itself, is no way to restore the system.
Turn on/off the system with 0 doe hurry not bring the wizard of recovery of HARD drive either, just a series of beeps.

The so-called official support said that they could not sell me any media that Toshiba only gives to clients directly (tat how´s for nonsense!)

Ironic that it would be easier to get Linux or a bootleg copy than to take the "supported" path...) -[

    Hello

Your laptop belongs to the Toshiba series us and that's why I put t exactly know how it works on this laptop, but on the European of Toshiba laptop, you might find the Toshiba disc creator software that allows you to create a Toshiba Recovery disk.

I put t understand why ASP you called t couldn't sell you a recovery disk. I think that you asked someone who didn t know that.

Usually the ASP should be able to provide such discs. So either you can call Toshiba USA or ASP and ask again this recovery disk.

    Good bye

  • Satellite A660 (PSAW3A-07U00R) - error recovery

MySatellite A660 i7 1.73GHz with Windows 7 now hang at startup. When I rebooted I get to start Windows in safe mode or run Startup Repair. The two option to hang on. I also sometimes get ERROR: F3-F100-0003.

I used my recovery disks (that I have used before with no problems), but on the first lap it hung on the creation of partitions. Now when I start I get no BIOS only 'BOOTMGR missing Press Alt Ctrl Del for restart. When I press I get a small bar flashing in the upper left corner and nothing else.

I got this 8 months ago from JB HiFi.

Nobody knows what could be wrong or a way to fix it?

    Hello

The BOOTMGR error message you get because recovery installation didn't finish properly. If no operating system is installed and the computer can't find Windows Boot Manager.

Either you get the broken record due recovery error message and so the files can t be read properly or it s hardware malfunction.

Way the easiest to check is to install Windows from a normal disk of Microsoft. If it works, it seems that the hardware is working correctly, but the recovery disc is the problem. All the drivers and tools you need after installing Windows can be downloaded on the site Web of Toshiba.

But if you want a new recovery disk, you can order it here:

That s strange. Even if the system is damaged, the installation should work using the recovery disk
Error message: bootmgr missing means that your system is confusing to the top. System files are corrupted or misconfigured. It might be possible that your disk sectors are damage or the HARD drive is not properly configured to be started from.

You can try to boot from the authentic Microsoft Win 7 disc and may format the HARD drive including a deletion of all available partitions.
After the HARD drive has been formatted, try to install the system using the Windows 7 disc.

  • I can't activate the operating system on my Satellite A305-S6857

    I have laptop Satellite A305-S6857.

A few days ago my computer did not work well.
So I did format and reinstall the Vista trial version because I lost my CD of vista.

Then after I tried to turn on but did not work. I put my product key at the bottom of my computer.
I'm really horrible at the computer.
Now, I can't use my internet and everything.

because I don't know where are the driver files. Can someone help me?

Tell me where are the driver files and why wasn't my product key.

The button on the underside is not a kind of universal key and it will not activate your Vista. This key belongs to the recovery image, that you got with your laptop. If you use the Microsoft CD/DVD facilities, then get the original key. If you don't have it you can activate it online.

Before that, configure all hardware and internet access. All the drivers, tools and utilities for this model of laptop you can find on US Toshiba support page - http://www.csd.toshiba.com/cgi-bin/tais/su/su_sc_modSel.jsp

    Check it out!

  • Satellite A305-S6855 - question to reinstall Windows

So I have a Toshiba Satellite A305-S6855 with Vista home premium. Have 2 cd I did a reinstall on it years ago, but don't remember when I do, do I need a key series or smth for windows, or I must only put the discs and wait.

Because I kind of recall, I needed a key to add for some reason, after my previous reinstalled but now can't find key/serial codes, because I threw everything in the box except the recovery cd

Just put the first disc in the CD/DVD drive and start Notepad using this means of communication.
Then follow the on-screen installation instructions
The image of Toshiba will be installed and no additional serial key is required to activate the system. It s already active.

  • Connection problems Hotmail account on Satellite A305-S6909

I experienced a problem connecting to Hotmail using IE8 on my Toshiba laptop. I posted this problem for Windows Live and my anti-virus. The two parties have not solved the problem after 2 months. The issue started around November 20, 2009. I think it may be related to a security upgrade or CrashFree upgrade.

Information on the basis of the problem:

When you sign in on Hotmail on IE8, I firstly have a message that my password is incorrect. If I try to log in again, I get the login screen (no message). If I choose the enhanced security Option, my browser allows to browse several blank screens before expiring. The site of hotmail then sends a message that the site is down, etc. Also, I can connect in the rest of the Windows Live, including MSN.com. When I connect to MSN.com, I can see the sidebar that shows the last 5 emails on my hotmail account. I just can't access these emails. I have no problem with any other website.

Where this problem does not -

    1. this problem does not exist when you use FireFox.
    2. in Safe Mode with networking, this problem does not occur on IE8.

    Attempts at a solution-

    1. I worked with my anti-virus software tech support to confirm that hotmail is not blocked by the firewall. I have confirmed that it is not a virus affecting the program.
    2. with the Windows Live team, I went through the entire process of clearing cache, flushing the dns, restoration... I reloaded even IE8 on my system.
3 Windows Live suggested that I use Fiddler Cap in order to acquire more information. This program generates an error when I try to run it. However, it works when I run it in Mode without failure.

    Laptop: Toshiba Satellite A305-S6909
    OS: Vista 64-bit
    Browser: Internet Explorer 8 (32-bit)

    Hello

I don t use Hotmail but it is really strange. In my opinion, it has something to do with the settings of Internet Explorer, because everything does work with Firefox. Theoretically, this means that nothing is blocking your connection and AntiVirus/firewall doesn't block these connections in Hotmail.

In the Internet Explorer options, you have different areas, like trusted sites, restricted sites, etc.. In your case, I would like to add MSN page you need to trusted sites.
In addition block you / allow Cookies of some Web pages. Make sure that Cookies are not blocked.

All that s what I can tell and the time and I hope that I could help you! :)

  • Re: Disk failure hard on my Satellite A305-S6905 1 year

My hard drive is defective on my laptop [a Satellite A305-S6905] so it was a year old Feb 11' th not guaranteed, now I have to pay someone to put in a new HD, will pay for HD and pay to put a new OS in there because they do not come with operating system disks more, a good I had already bought a Windows 7 disc , but wait... I can't use it, it is an upgrade, so now what am I going to do?

    Hello

I agree with the user above. Replacing the HARD drive is easy and can be done in a few minutes. On the underside, remove the cover of the HARD drive which is fixed by screws, and then you can exchange the HARD drive.

Reinstalling Windows, to the disk recovery Toshiba or a disk of Microsoft. All drivers and tools can be downloaded from the Toshiba site.
