  Please give me a way on how can I fix my laptop problem. I use Toshiba Satellite A350D - 20 k, its original operating system was Vista 32 bit. As I discovered that my machine has been supported to use Windos 7, I decided to change my OS to Windows 7 64 bit. When the first time I've used it using Windows 7 OS my touchpad worked again.

  But change a BONE I have to find the driver, so I was looking for your www.computers.toshiba-europe.com site, so I found the latest updates for family series specifically A350D but not A350D - 20K I can't find this exact model updates up-to-date, so the updates of the A350D I saw, I downloaded all of them even the update of the BIOS...

  Before that I use version 1.2 of the BIOS, but since I saw a latest version which is version 1.7, I decided to install it. After that I installed it I noticed that time if my touchpad does not work because I use a mouse (external device), maybe that I installed it Wednesday, October 6. For some time, when I take my mouse when I tried to use the touchpad, that was the time I noticed that it does not work.
  I don't know if my bios version change has been the one who made this problem.

  I asked some recommended to my friends and they asked me to the Toshiba site, if there is a BIOS utility crush so that you can restore your previous BIOS or if they still have the old version of your BIOS which is 1.2.

  So now please dear I sincerely ask a help for my problem. Thanks a lot for your time in reading my concern.

  In addition, I already recover my lap top using may but recovery disk, it does not solve my problem, my touchpad still didn't work. My drivers in Device Manager is over. The driver installed in my device manager is

  Satellite A350D - 20K belongs to the series PSALME. According to the Web of Toshiba BIOS update site that you can find for A350D (version 1.70 - WIN) is compatible with all models A350D so I guess that the BIOS update isn't the cause of the problem. As a general rule after a BIOS updated you must load the defaults in the BIOS if you press the F9 key in the BIOS Setup. This will load the default settings.
  Also, make sure that the internal pointing device (touchpad) is not disabled in the BIOS. On some laptops you can disable it in the BIOS and it must be set to activate.

  After the installation of recovery also try the FN + F9 key combination. With this combination of keys you can also turn off/turn on the touchpad.

  Check this box!

  before or the original operating system from my laptop has been * Win Vista 32 bit * but I have choose changed from * Win7 64 bit *...
  I have already downloaded the other drivers from this site for my new OS, but it is not complete, in any case, this isn't a big deal.

  before on my win7 32 bit there is a Toshiba Recovery Disc Creator ("but it doesn't have an installer on my backup CD I do not know why?")

  I looked for an installer here but the only thing I saw was for Win Vista, I tried to install it luckily it has been done successfully. He invited s to restart, so I restart my laptop so I tried to open the application, but there was an error message that invites it goes like this

  "NO HDD RECOVERY AREA!
  "The Toshiba Recovery disc can not be started."

  CONCERNS:

  * I want to ask you guys if you have an idea why it goes like that?
  * You have an idea where I can get the good installer for my new OS

  Toshiba Recovery Disc Creator is a tool of Toshiba that created the recovery disk available on HARD drive recovery image.
  It s NOT support tool like Ghost, etc. that allows you to create an image of your operating system preinstalled.
  If the Toshiba Recovery files are not available on the HARD drive then the Toshiba Recovery Disc Creator will not work!

  I put t know how to help. Toshiba doesn't support this old Satellite for Win8 and hardware manufacturer doesn't support graphics card too.
  If something exists doesn t how do you find it for you.

  I have Satellite A300 and I agreed that Win7 is the limit for this machine. It works perfectly and it's OK.
  WIN8 is the new generation and of course we need better and more recent material for it.

  I have a problem, all of a sudden, without doing anything, my * FN keys stop working *. The adjustment of the brightness first always worked without appearing in the bar at the top of the screen, but when I restart the computer even no work, nothing in relation to the FN key works.

  I think even says it all if your laptop is a fingerprint reader you need of this tool/driver to use. Otherwise you don t need. ;)
  In general fingerprint reader and the utility can be used to replace the Windows login password. You can use your finger to login to Windows if you have the fingerprint reader.

  AFAIK the A350D - 20K does not support the 3G module.
  It supports the internal BT module and card Atheros Wlan.

  But I know different notebook series support different hardware specifications. This means that some of the A350D could support 3G and so this slot would be available. Maybe all series uses the same chassis, but not all come with an internal 3G module.

• Cannot get the Fn keys to work after installing Windows 7

  I have completed the installation of Windows 7, but impossible to get the Fn keys to work. I found and installed the 'flash cards' which seems to do a similar thing, but want the good Fn button as well.

  Anyone know who the drivers for it?

  I have a Satellite Pro A10. The prob I have is a.b.n.and enter keys do not work and this is a new keyboard
  I hooked my other A10 and all keys work so the keyboard is fine.

  Everything works fine with the usb keyboard. Mother board everything seems ok.

  Why do you think the motherboard is ok?
  Maybe it s a controller keyboard problem
  Did you check if the cable is correctly connected?

  In my opinion if you are sure that the keyboard is ok 100% the problem to be attached to the motherboard because there is no other party that is placed between the keyboard and the mobo.

  Hi people!

  (notice - English is not my mother tongue, sorry bad language).

  L750 satellite. -Win 7, 64 bit

  PROBLEMS:
  Using the FN key works well for the volume control, but that's all.
  When you press the fn, the Panel keys shortcut appear not correctly (stuck in the upper on-screen) and I cannot adjust the brightness of the screen, can not activate the WIFI etc.

  I have reset and changed the settings on Flash cards, but nothing helped.
  I have no option for the delivery of the Flash cards, can't find when I search to start Explorer.

  A lot of browsing on the forums shows users suggest to uninstall and reinstall in the following order:

  * + Added value package +.
  * + Toshiba Flash card driver +.

  * But I can't find * Toshiba Flash Cards Driver anywhere... !

  Any suggestions? Should I tweak registry?

  Can't think of any ways to solve this annoying glitch; p

  In many cases the Support Flash Card utility is already part of the VAP (value added package).
  Therefore, you should try to reinstall the VAP.

  I found one on the European driver Toshiba page:

  I recommend you to uninstall the old VAP first.
  Then restart and clean the registry with CCLeaner.
  Reboot once more and install the downloaded VAP.
  Restart and test the Fn buttons.

  I reinstalled my windows 7 64 bit on my laptop Satellite A660 and downloaded most, if not all the drivers on the official site of Toshiba UK.

  Although I do not use the FN keys, keep it bugs me knowing that they do not work.

  So... when I press the fn and none of my keys f1 - f9, they do not do anything, no card flash or anything like that.

  But the touch buttons to the upper work (the eco (I think), wireless, media, pause/start, light, decrease volume and increase volume) when I press them they sound and everything, but no flash cards is (not sure but I think that there is no flash cards for those) However when I press the power button on top of the mouse everything works including the flash ECAD

  The normal keys F1 - F12 function

  Tried to uninstall the pack of value-added and install again (after rebooting my laptop)
  Tried to restart flash cards too
  None of the above worked.

  I had Satellite L850 bite of windows 8 64 (pskg8a-07f001) running for only 2 months.
  Only within this week, the special function key does not work do not, whenever I start the pc, I have to go into toshiba assist office then the function key, and then click ok, it will work.

  You can use the traditional keys FN + F mode or just a F key mode.
  This can be enabled and disabled in the BIOS or the HWSetup

  In BIOS go to Advanced-> system-> the function mode button configuration
  This mode can be changed
  Also remember that the function button is activated too

  Anyway, you need the latest version of Toshiba Value added Package and utility Support Flash Cards.
  Try to also restart Toshiba Flash Cards (start > all programs > Toshiba) and repeatedly press the FN keys.
