Satellite A355-S6925 - SDHC not recognized
My Toshiba Satellite A355-S6925 does not recognize a Lexar Platinum II 32 GB SDHC card class 4.
My last hard drive crashed and I replaced with a new one and installed Windows 7 from scratch.
Am I missing a driver or firmware to use the built in reader SDHC?
Please help, I just bought a camcorder and I want to transfer video.
Hi michael_fuglas,
> My Toshiba Satellite A355-S6925 does not recognize a Lexar Platinum II 32 GB SDHC card class 4.
Hmm, I think that the card isn't recognized due the high capacity of 32 GB. As much I know 32 GB cards are not supported for all card readers
In your case, I would try a smaller size such as 4 GB or 8 GB. Generally these cards should always work.

Satellite M70: HARD drive not recognized external - various XP error messages
Hi all
I have a Satellite M70 and I have a Western Digital external hard drive.
Initially, it worked great, I was able to put my large collection of music, etc. on it and run a computer off to save space on my integrated HD.But recently I had problems with XP not recognizing HD or be able to write in it. It appears in my computer, then disappear, often randomly when I write new files to it.
I reformatted the hard drive to NTFS as it ran originally as FAT32.I updated my BIOS as well, but I'm out of ideas.
Anyone else had similar problems with XP?
Thank you
Will be
Have you thought about external HARD drive failure?
Perhaps failure of HARD drive and, therefore, it cannot be recognized correctly. -
Satellite U400-119 - battery not recognized
Hello
I just bought a laptop TOSHIBA Satellite U400-119. The operating system is Windows Vista Home basic.
Before I turned on the laptop, I plugged on the CC adapter and let the batteries reload for 24 hours. However, after 24 hours, battery LED icon is orange and blinks (which means that the battery is low according to the user manual).
When I tried to turn on the laptop without the adapter DC laptop computer did not respond. So I installed Vista while the laptop was still connected to the DC adapter. After installation, the Vista battery icon displays a red cross on the battery icon, which means that it is not recognized.
This is a brand new laptop so I think the battery needs to be replaced, but I don't know.Someone at - it had a similar problem?
Any sollutions to my problem? Thanks in advance!
A display really interesting because one of my friends got the laptop U400 and a similar one issued what s happened too.
Suddenly, the battery did not recognize I thought that it s a malfunction of the battery. But I was wrong. The solution is very easy.
You must update the BIOS and this should help get rid you of this strange issue.
My friend did the same thing and it worked! So check it out. Download the BIOS compatible and right and update!
Good bye

Satellite A200 - hard drive not recognized
Hello. Deploy a satellite A200.
Original problem would not initialize only power light and hard drive light came on a second, nothing on the screen, not access to the parameters of F2. Reinstall memory, no go, deleted the test and drive hard and read disc hard ok in an external enclosure. With disk hard deleted computer will start after market boot disk and running program diagnosis ok. Can now access the settings of F2.
Format external hard drive, reinstall and start with the startup disk, hard disk appears in the bios, the test runs diagnostic ok.
Tried to install Windows XP and XP pro and windows twice starts to install and then comes up with an error saying there is no hard drive present, even if the Bios and a diagnostic boot disk at the same time recognize the hard drive.
Tried another hard drive with the same problem, not recognized.Any ideas?
Hello
Have you tried to reinstall Windows using the Toshiba Recovery disk? Normally with this record everything should work fine because it s pre-tested and specifically designed for your laptop.
Check this box!In the worst cases, your HARD drive is faulty and you need a new. The HARD drive seems to have random failures.

Microphone of international satellite A355-S69403 does not
I have a Toshiba Satellite A355-S69403.
When I try to use the internal microphone located at the top of the lid in the open (side) position, it will not work.I tried to do activities such as talking with friends on MSN Messenger.
I tried to use the speech recognition program that came with my laptop, I tried to use accessibility in control whether Panel if my microphone is the problem. When talking with my friends that they could see talk me on the webcam, but no noise near my voice was detected, instead they compared to alien-strange noises, because it makes strange clicking noises and others.
When I was with the sound recorder I heard the same thing, there is no interference of background noise or anything, it just clicks and sounds very restless and strange.Help, please
Hello
The internal MIC is part of the webcam.
First, I think you should check if you can update the software of the webcam and the audio driver.
Satellite A355-S69403 is a Toshiba model that drivers should be downloaded from the Toshiba driver page weI'm not sure if this will help, but I had some problems of its due to the WiFi.
The sound was choppy, and I got some interference.
After the update of the WLan driver, everything was ok. -
Satellite A60 - replacement HD not recognized in the BIOS
I have an A60 which began to shut down and not start.
I tried to use the restore CD that has reinstalled the operating system, but the laptop still not managed to start after that.I suspected that the HD failed and bought a toshiba 40gig drive replacement. I have installed the new drive but and been in the BIOS (F2 and F1), but the BIOS indicates there is no HD installed.
The recovery CD installs saying there no drive selected.
Can anyone offer any help or advice on what I can try next?
Here are some technical details.
Laptop Toshiba A60-672
old MK4025GAS (40gig) drive
spare MK4026GAT (40gig) driveThank you
Phil> I have an A60 which began to shut down and not start.
I tried to use the restore CD that has reinstalled the operating system, but the laptop still not managed to start after that.
For me, it looks more like an overheating problem caused by the internal temperature.
It is a typical problem if the cooling fans are clogged and that air can circulate properly.> I thought the HD failed and bought a toshiba 40gig drive replacement. I have installed the new drive but and been in the BIOS (F2 and F1), but the BIOS indicates there is no HD installed.
One of my friends has updated the own Satellite with the new HARD drive and the HARD drive was not recognized by the BIOS due to the assignment of the PIN wrong and riders Check this! -
Satellite A10 - recovery disk not recognized
I want to format my hard drive and reinstall windows xp.
Of course, I have Toshiba A10 laptop with HDD 160g, 1 g of Ram, cd/dvd player and the restore disc (cd).
Problem: the restore disc is not recognized by the cd player. When I insert the disc, then again, boot sequence goes to hard drive and boots from there
What I did:
1. check if the reader sees another s cd. Answer Yes, Yes
2 boot sequence of the bios checked as well as toshiba consoles set up made sure it is
in "order"hdd, lan, floppy, cdrom", (I tried other combinations starting with cd as well).
3. I cleaned the restore disc, didn't work
4. I ordered another set of Toshiba restore disk, which did not work either, still not recognized
5. I bought a cd/dvd external reader believe it or not, disc starts to work in this case, I get a warning screen shows all data will be lost and asks me to click if I want to continue, when I click it says will now restart the computer and it does but comes back and goes back on the hard drive and boots from there.I must also add; When I switch on I get "' pxe e61 media test failure, mof outgoing intel boot agt" msg, according to my search, this problem indicates hard disk.
but my hard drive does not work,Will someone give me an advice?
If the BIOS is set to boot from the local network first, before trying to boot from the HARD drive, you will see the error PXE.
Have you tried to clean the lens in the DVD player? Wipe with a Microfiber cloth.
try holding down "C" when you turn on the laptop, this will make it boot from the CD.

Re: Satellite L500 - HARD drive not recognized in BIOS
Hi guys,.
Yesterday, my mother-in-law has been using his computer and play some games. The computer froze and I had to force a shutdown. Upon restart, the computer continued to give the following message is displayed:
PXE - E61: Media control failure, control cable (or something similar)I removed the HARD drive and replaced him, with no avail. I checked the BIOS, and the disc HARD is still not save in there, so not sure the hell happened.
Anyone has any ideas on this? I'm looking at a new HARD drive otherwise.
See you soon,.
Nathan.
Hey,.
If the HARD drive is not recognized in the BIOS more I think that it s faulty and you need a new. This is the reason why you get up a PXE boot message initially.
Is your laptop still under warranty? Then you can get a new HDD to an authorized service provider for free.
Otherwise, you can buy yourself but it s not expensive. You can use each interface SATA 2.5 HARD drive. -
Satellite M50 of power not recognized
Hi all
When I turn on my Satellite M50, it did not recognize my diet out and under voltage of the supply battery.
There is no problem with the computer before hand and there is no change of hard/software recently. The LCD screen on the front indicators are all dark even with connected electrical output power.
I tried to have disconnected and reconnected as well as using other sources of output, but in vain.Help, please.
Hello
You want to hear my personal suggestion?
So I think that there are only two possibilities;
The power adapter is faulty or there is something wrong with the motherboard power supply. But first the AC adapter should be checked.
Welcome them

Satellite L30: Usb device not recognized
I have a problem with my laptop L30.
When I connect my phone or a flash drive or external hard drive, it is said: Usb device not recognized one of the usb devices malfunctioned.
Tried to reinstall windows did not help...is there a solution?
Hello
Hmm. First of all, you should unplug all external USB devices.
Then go to Device Manager and remove it all concentrators root USB and USB host controllers.
Reboot the laptop. After this procedure, the operating system should recognize and should install new ports.
Now you can connect to a plug - and play instruments. These devices should be recognized automatically. But some external USB devices need additional drivers.
Usually these drivers are provided with the USB device.I would recommend this review if necessary!

Satellite A200 - 23K - card SDHC not recognized on Windows 7
Hello, I have a toshiba satellite A200 - 23K.
I just installed Windows 7, all drivers support drivers toshiba and all the updates of microsoft windows, including the suport of 32 GB SD flash cards memory.
http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.comBut in the Device Manager there is a witch of the element named "mass storage controller" has not been installed (which would be the SD card reader), but I didn't know any driver for "Texas Instruments PCIxx12 Integrated FlashMedia Controller" and installed the VISTA driver instead. Now, the look of the device is fine in Device Manager, but he only read a normal SD card, and when I insert a SDHC 4GB it came to nothing. In windows XP / vista and linux (fedora / ubuntu) there is no problem with SDHC (4GB and 8 GB Kingmax SDHC class 6).
I would very much apreciate in advance if someone will make a driver for the card reader (I use it pretty mutch for photos).
Hey Buddy,
I think the problem is the Vista driver expired that doesn t work 100% correctly on Windows 7
As much as I know Satellite A300, which supports Windows 7, is also equipped with Texas Instruments card reader, or at least the pilot is also from the same company with respect to the Satellite A200.
In your case, I would try this driver, I hope it works! :)

Satellite P200 - Cdrom is not recognized
Hello
I have a satellite p200 and my cd rom is no longer recognized by my laptop. I had this problem once before and brought back to pc world who fixed it, but don't know why.
Someone had the same problem? Anyone know of a solution?
Before you contact the technicians for the control of the laptop try to boot from a CD. For example, try to install the OS from the Toshiba Recovery CD.
If it be possible, then the CD/DVD drive is correct and not in default. In this case, I think the problem might be related to software and new installation OS should fix.
From my personal experience of the damaged windows registry could be responsible for these problems of CD/DVD drive.
Good bye

I have a 8GD kingston SDHC card but when I tried to import the photos from the card to the PC it does not appear in my computer or Device Manager. Y at - it an update so like SDHC card could be recognized? Please answer as soon as POSSIBLE...
check if your memory card reader supports the map reading high capacity.
Also, check if you have not inserted the wrong side.
a memory card reader not expensive 4 - in1 can be bought for cheaper than the equivalent US dollar in the philippines or hong kong.

Satellite Pro A100 is not recognized any amount of RAM
Hello
I have a Satellite Pro A100 and I just bought 1 GB of additional memory. There are two locations, each with a capacity of 1 GB.
When I put the new memory into the slot and the old 512 MB original memory in slot B and the computer says it is 1 GB.I have them two-way round so that the 512 MB is has the 1 GB in B. Now the computer says that there is 512 MB.
Is there anything I can do to work B slot? I have the latest version of the BIOS update. Thanks in advance.
Hello
> original 512K of Ram also works in A slot, but not in the housing B.
This looks like your slot B is defective, mate :(I think that, in this case, you can't. You can swap the card mother but that s all.

Re: Satellite A500 - keyboard is not recognized
Hello
I have a Satellite A500 and I can't get the computer to recognize the keystrokes when I type my password to get into the computer. This is why I can't on the computer at all. The cursor flashes in the password box and when I click it with the mouse also recognizes this function but I can't go any further.
This has happened a number of times now and it's been really annoyingDoes anyone have a solution for this please? Is it to do with tapping? FN + F9 don't working.
Australian salvation,
You mean the password for your Windows user account? Normally, if you start the computer, you can begin with password enter because the cursor blinks already in the password box.
Can you enter the password if you connect an external keyboard? If so, this would mean that the internal keyboard is defective. In addition, it would be interesting to know if you can access the BIOS by pressing F2 on the internal keyboard. So, you can check if the problem comes from related software or not.
By the way: FN + F9 can only toggle the touchpad, but not the keyboard.
