  • Satellite L300 - 1 5 - I want to upgrade the graphics card

    Hello

I was wondering if anyone could tell me if the Satellite L300 - 1 5 (short model: PSLB8E) has an MXM slot?

I want to try to improve the graphics capabilities of it.

Now, I know that the upgrade of the integrated graphics card is impossible, but I read somewhere that nVidia and a selection of manufacturers have worked on getting MXM in laptops supported features PCI Express and Toshiba have been listed as working with them. I have the Intel GMA 4500 M and its obviously not built for the games and I really want to play Modern Warfare 2, but cannot guarantee of forking out for a new laptop just for 1 game

Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks

    Hey Buddy,

I think that an upgrade isn't possible. The graphics card is soldered/fixed on the motherboard and this means that you can t change it. Here you can find more information about this:

I can understand you but Satellite L300 isn't designed for games. I use my Satellite L300 for Internet and office and for games, I bought Qosmio F50. :)

  • I want to upgrade the graphics card in my computer and I don't know if they are of the type I need more

I want to upgrade the Visual memory of 96,0 MB so I can run my game better. It would help if someone could possibly give me a source of where to get one that would be great thanks

If you don't have a graphics card then it is integrated into the motherboard as you say. If it is a very old motherboard, it may be a good idea to get a newer computer with a good graphics card in it. If it's a newer motherboard, you should check if it has a PCI slot, and if so, you could probably buy a graphics card yourself and put it in your computer. Anyway, you should probably talk to savvy friends computer you have, who should be able to tell you which way you should look at.

  • I have a Pavilion dv6 laptop and I want to upgrade the graphics card

I'm the product: HP Pavilion dv6t - b 6, 00 CTO Quad Edition Entertainment Notebook PC

    Product number: QJ912AV #ABA

Operating system: Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit)

Graphics factory-installed: Radeon HD 6490 m + Intel(r) HD Graphics Family (but I spend the Intel 3000 drivers)

My graphics were problems since I got my laptop and I didn't realize what a few months after when I did a check on why my graphics running on low FPS. I called customer service and they could not solved the problem, so I started to do the research and updating my drivers for each of them and switching them too. I have finally fixed them and instead to run Minecraft on 22 FPS, I was there at more than 60 FPS.

Now, this graphics card is good and all, but there are not adapted to the new games (and I've had this laptop 1 year). What don't get me, is why HP installs some old graphics chips in a new laptop. in any case, I want to see what I can put in the new card. I really want to install and Nvidia 650 m, but I don't know because I don't have any information on my motherboard and it is manufactured by HP. Why I want to improve it is because that 1.) This chip sucks and can't play the games of 2005 and more than 2). He cannot run newer games like I'm a player PC of BF3. I get a strong brand of 28 FPS on BF3-ultimate low quality on this game, he reached sometimes 30 but not much. I want this thing to run as good as my game desktop computer that is custom built, so I really want to know what works with this laptop.

Please help me to know what works so I'll be better satisfied with HP products.

Read this document. This has been implemented by one of the community experts (erico).

The answer is usually going to be no upgrade that has been done on the graphics card as this is usually soldered to the motherboard and designed to work with specific chipsets. The fact that this example uses the switchable graphics actually still less likely. I'm sorry.

PC hardware is changing at a rapid pace, so you get a day probably will be obsolete in a few months if not sooner. I personally ordered a laptop and there was already a new model of the series which has a better processor and graphics card to this topic. Alas, I was outside the return period and could not take advantage of the new model.

This largely depends on the software used, but cell phones are not usually able to achieve the same performance as a desktop game PC. My laptop performs as well as my office during playback of half-life 2, but there is a big difference when I play Crysis. The experience will depend on how the program is written and how the game engine is optimized. It varies from game to game.

    Hiya,

I've got a g20-108 and I really want to spend the nvidia card to something with a little more umph. I would just get a new laptop, but I like the machine, and I think that its worth the hassle. I was looking at the nvidia geforce go 6800 ultra 256 MB card but was not sure it was compatible. If any1 knows of a card that would be better or if it can be please let me no

    Cheers for any info

    Hi skimming_skinner,

The problem is that this graphics card is not extendable part. That means t, you can exchange it with another model because it s fixed/soldered to the motherboard and nontradable.

You can read about it here:

    Hello

Below are the specs of your PC.

    Specifications

For a 300W Power Supply Unit, which is what you have, the map on the link below is a good choice, and I often saw that he recommended on this forum.

  • Want to upgrade the graphics card in a HP P6330f

    Hello

I want to upgate graphics card in my HP to be able to play games online. I know that I probably need to upgade the power will provide to. I searched online to get an idea of what would work with no luck.

Could you recommend some cards that would work and what size power I would need. I don't have much to spend on research on the lower end of the price range.

    Thank you.

    Hi Chuck1960,

I don't think that you need to change the power supply. I think that the current one should be sufficient to support

the new card VGA. If the games you're trying to play does not require much memory VGA, I would recommend

the Radeon HD5450 VTX3D. The cost varies between 35 $et $45 and should support more games online today.

Let me know if you have any questions. I hope this helps!

  • Upgrading the graphics card on my pavilion

want to upgrade the graphics card to my PC in order to improve the gaming experience to this topic, the absence of a powerful video card is the only thing preventing my games works fine, so I was thinking about upgrading to a 2 GB card, but I don't know if my PC would actually support it or if I could install it at all. Could someone here tell me if I could install this material? Thank you

    Graphics card: here

    Hello

The NVIDIAGTX 650or the NVIDIA GTX 660would be a good choice.  I'd go with the GTX 660 if you want to run at resolutions higher than with the ultra game settings.    The Corsair CX 500 or CX600 would be good choice for a replacement power supply.

The 6 GB of memory in your PC is a little low by RUST, but I would give it a go with the updates above before increasing the memory of your system.

I have a Satellite A200-13O with disk HARD 120 GB, Intel Centrino Duo 1.8 GHz, 1 GB ram and Intel 945GM chipset.

It's not even 6 months, it was a birthday gift for me of the 18th, I want 2 upgrade his graphics card. Is this possible?

    Can I overclock the system?

    Thank you

    Kelly

    Hello

Unfortunately, NO, since the graphics chip is welded (wired) on the motherboard. To play games, you can buy another machine with a better graphics card (Geforce 8700 M GT is very good).

Sorry mate, but theres no chance of getting the best performance from your machine about games.

    Welcome them

  • P7-1234 Pavilion: I have a p7-1234 Pavilion and want to upgrade the video card.

I have a p7-1234 Pavilion and want to upgrade the video card. I am currently the EVGA GeForce GT 610 2048 MB GDDR3. This card will work with it?

This is a power supply that will work for you:

    http://www.Newegg.com/product/product.aspx?item=N82E16817139048

It is modular allowing you to use only the necessary cables.  This means that there is more room inside the circulation of air.  He is also a 600W which will give you extra power for the possible future upgrades.  Any block of power SUPPLY Corsair will be good.  They are fans of the quality products for a reasonable price.
