  My stop laptop when you use the battery power. It will not re-start until I plugged in to the power supply. Every time I disconnected power laptop would shutdown. laptop does not work on batteries, no lights are working.

  I checked the hardware configuration of this laptop and Satellite A60 743 was delivered WITHOUT WLan minPCI card!

  Why you n t check in the first step!
  You should check the WLan card availability in Device Manager. Under network adapters, you should see the wireless network card.
  If the wireless network adapter does not appear, you have no. WLAN!

[Satellite Pro Model A60EN number PSA65E] I have always used the net via a USB dongle, which is really annoying and often unrealible. So I was wondering if there are any Wireless internal PCI cards that will be compatible with the laptop?

  I know that I have not already installed, and where the switch for Wi - Fi should be is just a piece of plastic covering a hole.

  To my knowledge, some of the Satellite Pro A60 machines are scalable WLan and others not!
  I think that your laptop is not Wi - Fi scalable because there is no such thing as your antenna switch on the side of the laptop.

  In my opinion, there are only two ways to use the WiFi network on this laptop. You will use the same USB WLan stick, or you buy a PCMCIA WLan card that is compatible with your location.
  But these cards are more expensive and USB sticks.

  I think that you have incompatible modules for mode dual channel.
  What RAM do you have?

  A module is maybe corrupted and so he doesn t run in mode dual channel.

  You can check the module with a program like Memtest86: [www.memtest86.org]

  at first I thought your problem your laptop want boot from LAN.

  Check the BIOS, could be formulated with pushing the ESC key when the Red TOSHIBA logo appears, enter on boot order (First Boot Device).

  I think that your PC is the first device to set startup to local network.

  Just FYI: your laptop model can handle with 2 GB RAM and compatible module - 1 GB DDR2-400/533 (PA3411U-1M1G).

  I suspected that the HD failed and bought a toshiba 40gig drive replacement. I have installed the new drive but and been in the BIOS (F2 and F1), but the BIOS indicates there is no HD installed.

  The recovery CD installs saying there no drive selected.

  Can anyone offer any help or advice on what I can try next?

  Recently, my A60 Satellite 1 years stopped to load completely. If connected to the power supply, it works fine, but the battery not hold a charge at all and register under the 0% charged.
