  I put t really know what problems you have with Satellite U400 but friend of mine has it and in my opinion the screen is as good as other portable also. I put t see any problems with the quality of the screen, everything is really good.

  It is important that you use the native screen resolution and 60 Hz. This will give you the best image quality.

  About these privacy filters I've never used them but I doubt that will improve the quality

  The wireless card drivers are correctly then updated (ver. 5.60.48.35).
  * The router has updated the firmware.
  * I tried all the settings of the wireless card.
  * Bluetooth off (without interference).
