Satellite A660: HW Configuration. Network Error1316 error has occurred

I have an annoying problem on my Satellite A660 that I can't fix. I lost the use of my function and the function of flash card keys. It seems to be linked to the HW configuration utility which open habit.

When I click on the icon that this message reaches this application requested execution to terminate in an unusual way. I tried to reinstall Hwsetup but it will not do so either by relocation or uninstall and this message, T / hw installation. Network Error1316 error occurred trying to read from c. \Windows\installer\Toshiba Hardware Setup.msi

Error 1603 Fatal error. Consult windows help install (msi.chm) or MSDN for more information.

I downloaded a new copy of Hwsetup but still no change. I also tried restoring from restore points much earlier, but even once, nothing changes. Would be very grateful any advice, Bravo Jeff

Hello

Maybe this error message is related to the issue of the register
I found a same error message in MS. knowledge base article The error appears while you are upgrading an existing installation of Office 2000.
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/263253

I think you should clean the registry with CCleaner.
Firstly uninstall the Toshiba HW setup utility.
Then uninstall the VAP (value added package)
Reboot the laptop.
Now run the CCleaner and clean the registry and delete the temporal files.
Reboot the laptop.
Run the CCleaner once more to make sure that the registry is properly cleaned.
Reboot once more and then install VAP.
Reboot once again and install the program HW installation.

Good luck

    Hello

These errors are often errors in registry. Could be caused by some software disk cleanup or somehing else who has access to the registry system´s.

The only option is to fix the system with an original disc of Windows Vista. If you don t have such a, then you will recover you the system because your registry database cannot be recovered, and the system must be completely replaced.

If you do not already have: backup your personal data... That's all

  • VPN connection: An unexpected error has occurred.

I am suddenly unable to get my built-in VPN connection works on my iMac with OS X 10.11.5.  I get the VPN connection message: an unexpected error has occurred.  I have been using this VPN configuration to connect to work for several months with success.

But last week (and I do not know if it had nothing to do with it), I went on vacation and used a free wi - fi setup of Tim Hortons.  I had a LOT of trouble getting the next login page, and I checked all playing with different settings of network without success.  When a change did not work, I put it to its original setting.  Finally, I learned to use Safari to access the free WiFi connection page of Tim.  Then once connected, everything was OK.

But when I returned a week later and if necessary, to start my VPN connection to access the work, it wouldn't start.  I checked and recheck all my settings preferably of different network, but did not find those who were wrong.  I even deleted and re-entered my VPN service definition without solving the problem.

Thinking that the problem could be the newly installed ISP of Bell equipment (we went from Rogers while I was away), I used my BlackBerry smartphone (issued by my employer) to create a wi - fi hotspot and accessed to the internet using this connection which completely ignored my home ISP equipment.  But still, I was unable to establish a VPN connection.

I then tried my iPad VPN connection, and it worked!  Then, I defined a VPN service on the iMac to my wife and the iMac to my daughter and was able to successfully establish a VPN connection to my work very well, using exactly the same VPN configuration.  This led me to the conclusion, it was a problem on my iMac (and not with my new ISP or VPN system of my work that had none of the changes you made), but I still can't find what is "broken".  I run Onyx for my iMac OS X 10.11.5 and repaired permissions and clean the cache and all the rest she is doing to "solve" problems.  But the problem persisted.

Is there a preference file corrupted somewhere (scan option is no longer on the current version of the Onyx for a reason any)?

I still have a network setting wrong somewhere I need to go back to the system is correct value?

Here is the attempt to VPN from the file system.log (with some hidden values in the case where they display my work VPN access):

Any help or insight would be more useful and appreciated... so that I can work from home again.

    Thank you

    Myron VanderLaan

I finally found my VPN problem.

There is a 'racoon' file that is generated when I connect to the VPN to my work site.

I have created a modified version of this file so that my connection does not expire in 3600 seconds (changed in 24 hours).

Apparently, there are some slightly different settings (such as certain IP addresses other than VPN IP of my work) in this file under our new ISP Bell from the former FAI Rogers.

And if I connect to the WiFi Hotspot from my BlackBerry, it does not once again because these settings in the file are different again.  I must return the file generated instead of my modified file.

    Bad luck!

    1. when I try to create an e-mail, or reply, or reply all or forward, or open an email received, get the error message "there was an error opening this message. An error has occurred. »

    2. when I try to open the address book, get the error message "the address book cannot be installed correctly."

    3. when I try to open the address book, get error message 'the address book failed to load. Outlook Express is configured incorrectly, please re - install. »

Had a major power outage 6/28; power finally restored 7/3 but had to reconfigure Outlook Express but also a number of other programs, including the password for computer access.

This article is quite old: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/191946 but if you search for *.wab which will give you the address book, and it is probably corrupted.  You can click on it and check whether it is open or not.  If not, then look for * ~ * and who will be the backup of the address book.  Try to rename to give it a file extension wab and if it opens when you click it, and then replace the bad with it.  Otherwise, remove the old one and see if that fixes it.  You might be best by clicking file | Identities and setting a new identity and then see if it works fine.  If Yes, then you can import the old identity.

See Bruce's wider response also here: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_xp-networking/the-address-book-failed-to-load-outlook-express-is/d6a4dea7-c936-4925-a66a-33042bac5fe1

  • OfficeJet 8630 "an error has occurred in printing"

New OfficeJet 8630 on a wired network.  I installed the software on Windows 7 x 64, everything seemed to go OK.  But when you try to print, I get the message "an error has occurred while printing" and nothing comes out.

HP Print and Scan Doctor shows no errors and the test page prints correctly.

When I go into the properties of the printer and look at the port, the description is "rediscovery HP port monitor.  Try to configure this port produces the message "an error occurred during port configuration.  Impossible operation completed (error 0x0000007b).

I can connect with the browser to the IP address of the printer and everything works fine.  Just print and the configuration of the port do not work.  I have yet to try the other functions.

I tried to restart after these tests, without change.

I also deleted all software (via Add/Remove Programs), rebooted and reinstalled the software, without success.

Another nitpick - when I installed the software the first time, he showed the devices page and printers "HP Officejet Pro 8630 (network).  The second time I install it, the printer is listed as "Fax - HP Officejet Pro 8630 (network).  Both had the same options in the menu options - but why the name change?

    TiA.

    Hey @jstuckle,

In a commercial environment, the consumer level home and Home Office HP Officejet Pro 8630 e-all-in-one printer may be not the best choice for high quality OCR scans. The 8630 Officejet Pro is provided with a trial version of the software ReadIris pro OCR scanning. But as I said, this is only a trial. If you need high quality with all the features OCR scans you might focus on the full version of the OCR Readiris software: Readiris 14: OCR software

I'm sorry that the 8630 Officejet is not adapted to your needs. However, I appreciate all the time you spent trying to solve your driver conflicts. Also, thank you for your patience throughout this process.

Anyone have advice on the implementation of vCOPS?  I have deployed the ovf, use a Pool of IP and configure static ip addresses, I get to the login page (https://< IP > / admin) and when running the Setup Wizard initial on the front page of details of vCenter Server I get a message "General error has occurred", which does not allow me to go further.  Now, I closed the browser to try again and I get a "Virtual Appliance Repair" screen that also fails with a general error has occurred.  Can anyone help solve this?

The vCOPS unit is version 5.0.1.0 build 677931

vCenter is version 4.1.0 build 258902

Looks like you had a communication problem between two virtual machines.

When you created the IP pool leave you this option disabled?  Also, you associate it with the same network that the virtual machines are connected?
