• Satellite A660 - screen does not work

  I have a Satellite A660 and when not hooked to an external monitor or TV, the laptop screen is white and you can't use it.
  The only way I can use the laptop and being able to see the screen is if I connect the laptop to the TV via a HDMI cable and use it like that.

  Have you tried to use the FN + F5 to switch between the internal and external screen?

  I have a Satellite A660-16Z and touchpad work not at all even if it is enabled with F9.
  I have to use a mouse external usb.

  I tried several times to uninstall and reinstall the touchpad driver from toshiba site without success.
  Initially, after the purchase, I remember the touchpad works, but I used an external mouse anyway.

  From this point on, I upgraded the bios to 2.00 more W7 updates and service pack 1.

  As far as I know there is an option that disables the touchpad automatically if the USB mouse is connected.
  You can find this option in: Control Panel-> mouse-> Pointing device

  It is not easy to say what the problem is here. There is unfortunately no way to force your laptop computer to complete the installation of recovery and to prepare BONES for first time use.

  All you can do now is get the BIOS to the default settings and try to install recovery image once more.

  2. Extract the contents of the downloaded zip file.
  3. Right click Autoruns and click run as Admin.
  4. Click the logon tab.
  5. Search for all entries under the name MapsGalaxy.
  6. Right click one by one and click on Remove.

  This should remove MapsGalaxy from the list of startup items in msconfig.
