  NVIDIA GTX 7xx or 9xx series graphics cards will not work in your PC.  The BIOS in "chicago" mothererboard is not compatible with the video BIOS in the graphics card.  You will need to get an older card chart such as the one of the below listed OEM HP graphics cards.   Is that what you have already installed the audio driver from Toshiba Web site? As far as I know Satellite U300 supports Windows 7 32 bit then an audio driver should be listed and works because readers are pre-tested by Toshiba.

  But it is also important that you install the chipset driver and should be installed first. So start with installing the audio driver.

  Also, try to load the default settings in the BIOS.

• Satellite C660 - white screen after instalation image recovery

  Strange problem. My Satellite C660D-1FM was a bunch of updates from Microsoft (did not updates for centuries as it was used by my daughter and not connected to the internet) and after completing it restarted and I got the Toshiba splash screen and nothing. Holding F8 gives the same problem, tried turning the key '0' and that was the same. Connected to an external monitor and it's the same thing. I can't get into the BIOS and everything seems fine.

  Then, thinking that the HDD is maybe defective I mounted another drive hard and fully installed Win7 on a Microsoft DVD (SP1 and all updates) and everything works. Then, I thought I try and restore the laptop to factory settings by default using Toshiba DVD recovery which Id created. Worked well during the installation, all the installed DVD 3 and he's gone through the procedure installation, portable got at the end when he tried to restart it, rebooted and now back to the same error - Toshiba start screen is ok, but then he'll just empty. To convince me that I wasn't going crazy I then reinstalled Win7 my DVD of Microsoft and he moved very well, did all the updates and worked all day today with no problem.

  I put t know what laptop you have exactly, but I think that the slow start Windows is caused due to viruses you have or had.
  A few years ago I also had a virus and it was causing a very slow start to the top, he did take up to 10 minutes until Windows has been loaded and the only solution to get rid of this used Toshiba recovery disc.
