Satellite A75 power sector and battery

Someone else knows harware problem with feeding? My computer guard switching battery when I use it. I had fixed by Toshiba, but it happens again. The computer is new.

Hi Teri,

I have a problem similar to yours. It is caused by a bad connection power connector at the back of the laptop, which causes a loss of contact internittent. In turn, this causes the microsystem (part of the motherboard) power to detect the loss of AC power he duly launched battery powered. Unfortunately, the intermittent contact is so brief that the AC comes before the power system is ready to detect it so it never switches back on current alternative. Eventually the drains of the battery and the laptop will be turned off.

The only wau I found to correct this situation is to turn off the PC and then it reboot.

I now tighten cable ca to the my laptop back to prevent the power connector to move if I move the laptop.

I've often used my laptop with power supply and the battery plugged in at the same time... Is this correct?... I confused the battery after charging or leave it in my laptop to go... I want to protect my battery so please tell me the right

    Dear med87,

    Welcome to Lenovo Community

Under the program of the energy that should come with the computer as a pre-installed program management, you must press (settings battery) then under the battery you should have called the battery Protection Mode, select it and press OK.

This Mode charger the battery Up to 60% and stops charging the battery, then it take its power from the charger, it's the best thing you can do to protect your battery.

Please try the computer, if you have had other problems, let me know.

  • Adapter sector and battery problem?

I recently bought an Equium M40X - 149 and when the power adapter is connected to the laptop it does not use its power, it only uses battery power. When I take the battery it uses alternating current. I thought it was strange, because I think he should charge the battery, and the power of the computer.

I removed the battery and was just running back into the computer on AC power and decided to put the battery and the computer says that he was using AC power but also to charge the battery. However, this lasted a few minutes and returned to the use of the battery, even if it was only 83% charged.

Could someone help me on this issue.

    See you soon

    Hi Gemma,

The maintenance of power system is integrated on the motherboard. This allows the notbook control the battery even when the notbook is turned off.

The symptoms you describe indicate a problem with the power jack, or maybe a touch loose connector AC causing propulsion to misbehave.

I suggest you contact your Agent of Service Toshiba authorized closest because that will be covered by your warranty. The nearest your Agent details can be found on the Toshiba web site.

  • BlackBerry BB Q10 Q10 - difference between Power OFF and "battery pull out?"

    Hello

Anyone has any info on what difference the phone sees between a switching OFF power and make a battery out?

Apparently, some of the guys to BlackBerry customer service advise you to do a battery pull off when the phone is in MODE.

Just curious to know what is the reason behind it.

When you turn off your phone, keep everything intact until you turn on again. When you do a battery pull, he interrupts the operation of the phone and many temporary files, not necessary for the proper functioning of the phone, are deleted. In many cases, when there is something playing havoc on your phone it is found within these temporary files.

Another method to do a battery pull should press and hold the power button until the BlackBerry is displayed on the screen. Other things will appear before that but if you continue to hold until it shows, the effect is similar to a battery with the phone powered pull. Note that pressing the power button to turn off the phone does not erase these temporary files unless you press and hold until the BlackBerry presents, usually about 15 seconds.

    I hope that helps you.

  • Satellite L450D - weird load and power question

    Hello

I myself L450D that plays up a little bit. The main problem with it is that it can not be activated in without the battery being inserted. Once you make this portable tension each time. Without the battery it just flashes power after light spin a fan for a fraction of a second and do nothing else.

Most of the time, when you turn it on it will start fine but is the ' power on ' off and battery light blinks slowly (light orange). I know battery is not charging and windows says its loading in-is not clogged. After a few tries (remove and insert the back stack) when I he turned on the light "power we" and battery started to load correctly. I have the battery fully charged and it takes 2 hours (watching a movie until his real).
The "connected" light is whenever I plug the charger.

    The questions are:
-why he used to power up without the battery?
-Why is not turned on on the light and reloads do not even if the laptop works well under windows?

I tried pressing the power button for 30 seconds, with or without the battery and adapter, no luck. What is a BIOS problem? I also tried the RAM and the HARD drive in different portable, works ok.

Also once the laptop is powered on it can go on for hours with no problems. I insist on proven components and without defects found

Hope you can understand my ramblings, please give me a hint if you know which continues, dan

In my opinion, you need professional help with this. On this virtual path, we can only speculate what the problem is. To me, it seems that the electronic power supply problem. I put t know what else can be responsible for this, BIOS, certainly not.

Contact the nearest Toshiba service provider to check the electronic card. They will be able to give you answers to your questions.

    Hello

I can't charge the battery and the laptop does not work on current alternative.
The power is already checked and is ok.

May this be an of faul?
And why the laptop does not work without it?

    Any suggestions?

    Thank you very much!

    Hello

Due to the fact that your Satellite A75 does not work with a plugged AC adapter and battery, I assume that there must be a serious hardware problem.
To my knowledge there would be something wrong with the electronic power supply.

In my opinion, you will not be able to solve this problem without the help of ASP.
So I recommend you to make a call to the ASP technician and ask for details and more handling.
If the warranty is valid, then everything should be done for free

I hope you can clear this good luck question

  • Satellite L455 - plug-and - battery LEDs power LED and it flashes orange

I have a Satellite L455, which worked perfectly for more than six months now, but two weeks ago he began to behave strangely.

I turned off the machine normally in the evening I was going to sleep. In the morning when I turned on it it turned on, HARD drive and on power LED blinked blue for a few seconds then they are gone. Machine does not start. I tried to turn it on again and it does the same thing. Then I saw the "power plug on" and "battery on" LED flashes orange at the same time. I unplugged the power adapter. Both lights were continuous blinking but machine will not feed. I removed the battery for a piece of 5 minutes, then reinserted it and the machine has worked all day.

I went he deleted off the power plug and the morning again it wouldn't start until the when I removed the battery for a few minutes then it works again. The battery recharges very well that when I remove and reinsert it even without connecting the power cable still lights up and works perfectly.

Then, I removed the battery and the power supply Plug and you press the power button for 30 seconds to unload the machine and then return power and battery and it worked until I turned off again and shutting off the power and then it didn't once again.

If I stop just of machine and do not turn off the power cord, then I can turn it back on to and work with the machine without hassle even for three days without interruption.

What could be wrong? Any help will be really appreciated.

    Concerning
    Yusuf

    Hi chidzungo,

It must certainly be a hardware malfunction but he s strange why it pops up every day after you have closed the laptop. Do you use batteries and AC/DC to original Toshiba adapter? Have you connected external devices to your laptop? If so delete them before you turn on your laptop.

What version of BIOS is installed at the moment? You should look on the Web from Toshiba website for an update. Update of the BIOS might also help and it s worth a try.

Before you start reading the BIOS BIOS update instructions update [HERE: http://forums.computers.toshiba-europe.com/forums/ann.jspa?annID=60]

Satellite L455 seems to be an American model, so the BIOS update can be downloaded from the Toshiba U.S. page but first check the exact part number:

  • Satellite A75: battery not charge if the adapter has been pluged

    Hello
I have a Satellite A75 for two years now. Lately, I have the following problem:
1 - AC power LED indicator is green (means the adabter AC is connected correctly).
2 - the (PC LED ON) is green (when the computer is on).
3 - the battery charge led is off (no amber not green).
The computer is the Dungeon running by using the battery until it completely empty and I can use it either. If there is a problem with my battery, why the computer does not use electricity to work (since it is connected to the AC) and let the battery alone.

I can't use the AC without the battery? Please advice.

    Thank you.

    Hello

It sounds like power supply to electronic malfunction. But I m not 100% sure about this.
Based on your description it is not possible to charge the battery during the work on the specification s.
You can also try to connect a new battery and check if it works. If it works then the problem was the battery. If this isn't the case, then I guess there is hardware malfunction.

In this case, you should ask the service to help him.

  • Satellite A75-S206: question on the use of the battery

    Hello

I just replaced my battery Satellite A75-S206.
When I installed the battery, it fully charged.
When I turned on the laptop, the battery light turns off and the laptop only works on a power supply of power.

How can I change the setting and make work under voltage when it is plugged and on battery power when you are away the CAP?

    Thank you

    FAS

The laptop is still running on the battery if the AC adapter is not connected.

If you connect the AC adapter to the laptop then the laptop will automatically switch to power and the battery will be charged.

Everything works automatically. Then you n t need to change the settings.

  • Satellite A200 - 1 m 8 slower when you use Power Saver and AC adapter

    HIII

    I have a toshiba Satellite A200 - 1 m 8. Windows XP Pro Sp3

When the pc is running on AC adapter / normal CC it works correctly and quickly, and when I unplug the adapter and run the pc on battery, that it doesn't...

But here the problem arises when I reconnect the adapter again (the normal supply battery power switching) the speed of the computer goes down.
It becomes more annoying and slow navigation, menu programs start running, etc...

It is very sensitive... not a bit...
I tried to change the controller to the built-in in windows power management and tests of the same case...
The speed of the computer works properly...

I guess the problem is with Toshiba PowerSaver.
    Version is: Toshiba PowerSaver 7.03.07.C

    Concerning

    Hello

I m not quite sure what could be the reasons for this problem but as far as I know, you can assign the different parameters of basic installation of Power Saver, which could affect the performance of the laptops.
For example; Control method of the CPU, the processing speed of the CPU, cooling method.

Please check what power profile was chosen after that the AC adapter is plugged in and if necessary modify some parameters mentioned above.
