  I have a weird problem with my laptop Ideapad Y560 (2 years). I was wondering if any of you have a similar problem and looking for a possible solution.

  As soon as I start the laptop (either), it is very slow for the first 3-4 minutes. Nothing to really works or opens, it hangs for a while and runs my entries of keyboard and mouse with a considerable delay.   It of difficult to say what might cause this exactly.
  I searched on similar questions on Microsoft Knowledge base page and found this interesting doc:

  It has exactly the same symptom described: the request could not be performed because of an i/o device error (0x8007045D)

  It s required to run the command Chkdsk X: /R
  In this command, x is a placeholder that represents the drive letter of the volume you want to check. So if you want to check the partition or HARD drive then replace X by the letter of the partition or HARD drive.

  I also recommend to check the HARD drive using 3rd party tool called: Drive Fitness Test.
  You can download for free.

  Run and check the might of HARD drive, it must be replaced.

  I have a C660-2E1, who still runs very slow because I bought it two years ago and I know that I should have done something before now.

  I noticed that it has only 1 GB of RAM, this could be the problem?

  I went to replace the 1 GB with 4 GB Module.Does does anyone know if this should be a 2 X 2 GB matched pair or can I use a single module?

  Yes, 1 GB of RAM is certainly not enough to get the laptop works well.
  I recommend you to upgrade the laptop up to 4 GB of RAM or more, the RAM can be expanded up to 8 GB of RAM (2 x 4 GB of RAM)

• Issue of recovery with Satellite A85-S1072

  I'm trying to recover my A85-S1072. I put the disk in it and it started working and reaches about 30 percent on the toshiba restore tool 7.5.1 and then he says:

  Output A:\GHOST. ERR (giving the option Yes or no)
  By clicking on any send to a black screen with a blinking "_" and clicking Yes brings up a screen cannot open 'GHOST. ERR - insert disk '.

  is there a reason its not open this file correctly? I tried to clean the disc and there no scratches or marks. I also opened reinstall drive on my other computer and it looked however I was unable to understand all that I could do that would not occur to ruining me the recovery disc.
