Satellite C650-17Z - keys FN and Ctrl-Alt-Del does not work

I recently bought a Satellite C650-17Z and the function key and the Ctrl-Alt-Del key combination ceased to operate. Is there a solution to this all - I got older laptops from Toshiba is a driver issue, but I can't find the drivers for specific keyboard on the Toshiba site.

Could someone enlighten me, please?

Hello

Regards the FN keys will find it many other topics in the forum.
Did you find them? Is there a solution for you?

In any case, you must reinstall the package of added value and utility to Support Flash Cards because both controls the FN keys. You can download all the tools on the official website of Toshiba:
http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com > support & downloads > download drivers

But for the Al-Ctrl-Del combination, there is no special driver but maybe it can be solved with these tools...

  • CTRL Alt Del does not work Windows 2015 10 rMBP

    Hi all

I have a MacBook Pro for Windows 10 15 "Bootcamped retina.

CTRL Alt Del does not, any more than the function keys (brightness, mute, etc.).

I tried to manually reinstall the keyboard driver. It installs ok but does not solve the problem.

On Reddit, a user suggested that another user with the same problem should do a Bootcamp driver repair.

However, when I go in the Bootcamp Assistant I get only the possibility to restore the volume.

My best guess is that the Bootcamp Driver repair fix it if I could access.

Does not mention that this is the model of 2015.

  • Satellite C650 - error reading disk and the recovery disk does not work

    Hello

I have a toshiba Satellite C650, who has recently developed with a disc read error. I want to access the command prompt to try some possible solutions I've read on the internet.

I made a Windows 7 recovery disk using my other acer laptop which has also installed Windows 7 64-bit. When I use the recovery disk and it loaded the files etc it evokes just a black screen and the cursor.

Does anyone have any ideas as to why this is happening?
I tried to start my computer acer laptop from the recovery disk and it worked fine.

As is - this does anyone have suggestions as to why I get the message "disk read error - press ctrl, alt and delete to restart?

Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

On this virtual path, it is not easy to offer the exact diagnosis, but of course, there must be a problem with the HARD drive. Can you get a second one for test purposes and exchange it. Just to be sure if the HDD is troublemaker.

    But there is something else:
    > I made a Windows 7 recovery disk using my other computer acer laptop...
Sorry, but I don t understand this. Can you please explain what you did exactly?

You are able to access the menu start pressing F8 as soon as the initial POST ends and before Windows starts to load? If so, try the last known good configuration. Otherwise, follow the steps here to load the recovery environment: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/927525 and then run rstrui.exe to load the system restore. • The shortcut Ctrl + Alt + C does not work in InDesign CS6.

The shortcut Ctrl + Alt + C does not work in InDesign CS6. I don't have an ATI video card, the shortcut key is not related to the center of catalyst.

I have a Nvidia GeForce GTX 980 video card and I reinstalled Windows 7 x 64 three weeks ago. Since then, the shortcut Ctrl + Alt + C does not work.

I tried to reinstall the program. I tried to clean the preferences file. Yet, nothing is done. I googled if there other programs that could take the shortcut for themselves. The InDesign menu says that the Ctrl + Alt + C is linked to the action "was". But nothing happens.

If you have any suggestions on what do I do to fix this, please help.

P.S.: before the reinstall, everything works great.

But no. I think I thought it somehow.

I just reinstalled the CS6 InDesign from scratch, as stated in the above post. Just as new as possible. And he was always in trouble. Then I disabled the two automatic startup items:

Broadcom 802.11 Network adapter wireless Tray Applet

    and

    Driver Logitech SetPoint.

After that, everything is back to normal.

I guess that one of them had caught the hotkey without mentioning, so that should be the fault. I don't think that other programs (with the exception of Adobe) have the same key as InDesign links.

P.S.: Just restarted each disabled program and it's Broadcom 802.11 Network adapter Wireless Network Tray Applet that shows problems with the keys.

So, thanks for trying to help me solve my problem.

If anyone else has trouble with the keys and they have this specific bin running applet, better turn it off to be sure. In the Windows Task Manager, it is called C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\WLTRAY. EXE.

  • Satellite P750-135 - key FN and Blu - Ray player does not

OK so recently I've noticed a few problems with my Satellite P750-135 with PSAY3E-059002EN part number.

Not words, the button FN done any work, however when the Toshiba flash card settings are configured to enable the mouse above, the functions that I would normally use, for example FN + ESC to mute or FN + F6 to turn down the brightness, etc., the works of service.

The problem has occurred since the drivers updated by a program on my PC but I can not restore the system to a point where the driver has been updated. I uninstalled the driver and installed the driver from Toshiba Web site and tried countless other things without success. Any help would be appreciated.

As for my second question, a while back I tried to play a Blu - Ray movie on my laptop and it works as it is. The drive plays DVD but when a Blu - Ray drive is inserted, the drive whirs, the AutoPlay window opens with no program to read it.

I have tried opening the Corel to play it, but it does not work.
The drive in question works on my One Xbox and Playstation 3, and I've tried other discs that don't work.

    Any suggestions?

ccYou know that's not easy to say what the problem is here. When you get new notebook with the settings everything works and all the pre-installed drivers, tools and utilities work well together.
Many people install some updates which are not so important, and then something can go in the wrong direction.

To be honest I don't know what program do you have average and exactly what has been updated.

  • Satellite L300 has no sound and the modem also does not work

I have this Toshiba Satellite L300 (PSLB8A - 1F004) an Australian model who was working perfectly until I changed the hard drive after he developed bad sectors.
    I installed Win Vista Business.

I have all drivers (TOSAPINS file) provided with the original hard drive, but when I installed the drivers in the correct order. IE chipset, modules, audio, modem, and all the other pilots.

There is still a little red x on the taskbar saying: "no audio output device is installed" and I also noticed that the modem is not listed in Device Manager. I also tried to replace a work from a cell phone same model modem card, but it still shows no signs of picking up the modem as well as his driver.

I made the attempt to download the drivers from mytoshiba.com.au under the exact model and the OS and installed but nothing helps, the problem is still there.

No sign of modem picked up and the little red x on the taskbar always shows "no audio output device is installed" and on Device Manager, is not to show the audio or modem. There is also nothing in the typical yellow marks and also I tried to show hidden devices but there is still no sign.

Is there something else I missed that I can try again?

    WewakMaster

I agree, with Akuma. First remove the audio controller from Device Manager (can be found under audio and game controllers).

Then update the Vista of the State. All patches and Service Packs must be installed.
Then, restart the device and install the driver Audio from Realtek ALC268 from here:

  • Satellite 1900-803: Hi-Speed USB 2.0 card does not work

I have a portable satellite 1900-803. I recently bought and installed a Belkin Hi-Speed USB 2.0 Notebook Card, but it does not work. Manual of the card says that after the successful installation, I'd see a second 'USB bus controllers' heading which I did not. I even it was replaced by another one thinking that there could be some problems with the drivers, but it still does not work. whenever I plug in a device such as an mp3 player, a digital camera or a usb storage device, windows locks all of a sudden upward, won't move the cursor, the function ctrl-alt-del does not work and the worst of it, I can't turn off the machine!

the map shows that it runs on any 32-bit location.

I have the manual and the Device Manager to see if mine is a 32-bit, but I don't really know. This is probably the reason why it doesn't work? or is there another reason to make it work not? If this is the reason why, is there a way where I can upgrade my laptop's pc card slot to make it work?

    Help, please.

I posted this question yesterday morning and did not get a single response. is it because it has to do with an older laptop? Please, someone, help...

    Hello

Have you checked the Bios? I guess that the Bios Toshiba was preinstalled on your laptop. Am I wrong? There should be an option to change the PC Card controller mode.

Here, you can change the mode of the automatic selection, CCIP compatible controller or card bus/16-bit.
If the card supports 32-bit so you should use the 16-bit option.

I think you should play a little with this option and possibly that the card will work.

CTRL-Alt-Del does not bring upward the more after XP Task Manager - it brings up a different menu options:

The options presented are also slightly configurable via Group Policy, if your system is equipped with:

You can kind of 'test' on your keyboard with a built in Screen-Keyboard Windows.

When you press a key on the keyboard, it should light up on the screen keyboard on (by pressing Ctrl):

Of course, we don't know anything about your system (desktop, laptop, keyboard, PS/2, USB, wireless wired keyboard) so you may need to see if another keyboard works, another USB port, batteries, etc...
