Satellite C650D-112 - reinstall Win 7 after the failure of HARD drive
The 320 HDD on my C650D-112 18 months, failed last week.
I replaced it with a 128 GB SSD and it now boots into Windows 8 preview in about 10 seconds!
I have a copy of the disk HARD original including the recovery of HARD drive Partition, but no recovery disk.
I can't reinstall drive would work I had been a responsible adult and created the disk when the laptop is new because the disk is smaller.
Is it possible to reinstall the original Windows 7 Home Premium operating system of the copy of the HARD drive recovery Partition?
> Is it possible to reinstall the original Windows 7 Home Premium operating system of the copy of the HARD drive recovery Partition?
No, to my knowledge, this is not possible, even if you copy the contents of the recovery of HARD drive on the new partition on the new HARD drive, HARD drive recovery option does not appear in the advanced boot menu.
So, it seems you need to order a new drive to get here:

Windows 7 will not activate with the OEM key, after the failure of HARD drive.
Hello
I was recently asked to repair my brother DELL laptop. The HARD drive failed and the system unusable. I replaced the HARD drive and installed Windows 7 Home Premium x 64 (earlier version of windows) from my own installation media. The recovery partition had survived the failure of HARD drive, I would have just cloned that and used, but this was not an option in this case.
The problem that I am experiencing, is that windows don't will not activate, saying that the key is not valid. I was told that installing Windows 7 media would work with a retail or an OEM key, but that doesn't seem to be the case. The key OEM I use, is from the computer it came from originally, and the only material change is the new HARD disk.
I try to avoid ordering an OEM Dell installation CD, as which costs money (I already have my own installation CD) and takes time (why do they have them available for download?).
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you

OEM SLP: This key comes pre-installed in Windows, when it comes to the factory. This key is designed to work with the special instructions isn't on the hardware of this manufacturer. Then, when Windows was installed using the OEM SLP (in factory) Windows 7 key leans on the motherboard and he sees special instructions and activates. COA SLP: it's the product key that you see on the sticker on the side (or at the bottom, [or in the battery compartment]) of your computer. Can not activate Adobe Pro XI after the failure of hard drive
I had a HARD drive crash and had to install a new hard drive and reload all my programs as Windows 10 backup has not restored correctly.
I have re-installed Acrobat Pro XI of a .exe file downloaded a month ago.
When I opened Adobe in all the last month that I had was a dialog box on 'Greek' with what I guess is a 30-day countdown. I guess what the text it looks like the Greek text.
Now all I get is a dialog box with '00' in with the text "the Greek".
I managed on the highlighted entry and it presents me with what seems to be a form to enter my serial number.
I enter my serial number (I have updated Acrobat multiple times). This results in a yellow box with text 'Greek' with the serial number, as I entered. Entering the number even just translates the same dialog box reappear.
I tried the previous numbers of series without any positive result.
Any ideas?
I solved the problem.
My serial number is apparently for Adobe Acrobat X Pro.
Everything is OK

can not activate after the failure of hard drive
My copy of 13 elements was on my old machine who has suffered irreparable damage. I have reinstalled on the new machine with the activation key and everything was Ok for a couple of tracks. Then, I got a message to the effect either to confirm the old disabled machine or insert the new key. I chose the first, and again, everything was OK. I now have this message again and no access to the program. How can I convince someone, somewhere the old installation has been extremely disabled / support pages are little understood.
Go here:
Enable and disable Adobe products
and get off all the way up still need help? Contact us and continue to work your way through the different screens, even when it looks like you will loop back to where you just were, until you finally reach the page where you can start a chat session. Only manage activation can solve the problem.

http://notebooks.com/2011/02/25/how-to-restore-a-backup-from-an-external-hard-drive-in-Windows-7/New computers coming often pre-installed with Windows 7 have what is called a recovery partition. This is used to reinstall an operating system in the case of a system failure. To access it, you need to start when you start your computer by pressing a function key. This can be either F1, F2, F9, F10, F11, F12 key DEL or tab. See the manual that came with your PC for instructions on how to reinstall Windows.
For HP, press F11 directly after switching on the device

My laptop received disc hard failure two months and he died since then. I intend to change the hard drive of the laptop as soon as the order arrives in a few days. But now the problem is that as if now the keyboard of my laptop does not respond. So I would like to know if this problem will be resolved after the replacement of hard disk or is related to the software / operating system of your laptop?
Help, please...
Sorry I couldn't answer yesterday.
The update, is that when I tried to turn on the laptop as well by pressing the ESC. The laptop did not respond initially but then responded in the end, but after that, there is no answer.
Now Mr. President, I would like to know your end on this issue?

Satellite 2450-101 after the 60 GB HARD drive upgrade, made only to see 30 GB
Hello world
I'm new to this forum. I own a 2450-101, a little old man, real it´s, but still a very nice PC. Harman-Kardon louspeakers make it very useful for music.
I would switch the HD, so I installed a new 60 GB (the maximum taken in charge, I said) and used the recovery CD.
Everything worked perfectly, but it seems that only 30 GB can be seen by Windows. I heard, that I might need to update the BIOS. Mine is version 1.50.
After a long search through sites Toshiba and the Inetrnet, I can only find updates the BIOS for the new models...
only reference I've seen is on this page: http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/cgi-bin/ToshibaCSG/faq.jsp?service=EU&FID=TRO0000000b07, but
Yet once I don't find Bios for my model.
Please any help would be really appreciated ;)Hello
You are right. This laptop is a bit old, but very nice. It provides performance enough for someone in need of this laptop only for everyday use.
As for you statement about 60 GB of HARD drive. Well, I m a bit confused.
How did you check the size of the HARD drive and why you say that it recognize only 30 GB?
How did you check that? And you are sure that you have installed and 60 GB HARD drive?I recommend to check the size in disk management!
With regard to the BIOS;
The BIOS for this laptop is on the Toshiba driver page:
http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/cgi-bin/ToshibaCSG/download_drivers_bios.jspThere, you have to search in archive Archive Satellite Satellite 24xx Satellite 2450-101.
As far as I know the BIOS 1.50 is available on the page! -
How can I reinstall Vista (free) after the failure of my hard drive?
My hard drive needs a total deletion. After a reformat can I reinstalled my Vista Ultimate without having to buy a new copy? (I have the same question about Office 2007, streets and trips 2009).
Thank you.
Most laptops and many OEM desktop computers (HP, Sony, etc.) come with a picture of factory restore on a special partition on the hard drive. The factory restore process is normally called by pressing a key of function (such as F11) to start the computer. There will be a message as to what function key press the screen when you start your computer. You can also consult the manual of your computer or the computer mftr.'s site, or contact technical support to learn how to restore your computer if you plant from each computer mftr. He does it differently - sometimes even between models.
These machines also generally have a utility to create physical recovery disks in case the hard drive needs to be replaced or the factory restore image is somewhat damaged. If you have not created the recovery image recovery physical and/or damaged disks, contact technical support of computer mftr. to order a set of recovery disks. It is normally very expensive, around $25-50.
If your office and streets & trips are preinstalled, you would contact the computer mftr. for the installation of replacement media. Otherwise reinstall them using a CD that you have.

Everything is in the title, well enough. I bought a student upgrade copy of Windows 7 in late 2009 / early 2010 and installed it via Bootcamp on a MacBook Pro. I recently updated my hard drive, and to my dismay, did not have my backup of Windows and so I reinstalled the operating system. My only problem is that I lost the key. Can't find anywhere I tried to download a product keys Locator, but when I entered the key, it gave me it tells me that there is a default keyboard and can therefore be used for activation.
I'm kind of at a loss for what to do here. The ID of the product was rejected when I looked, but I know for a fact that this copy of Windows is legitimate, since I checked before BONE. Any help would be appreciated...Find your key product if your purchase of Microsoft Store:

Satellite A500 - is there a model with the 2nd internal HARD drive?
Is there a model A500 with 2 internal drives?
Hello!
You can check it on the Toshiba site in the specifications of the laptop if it s equipped ;) 2nd HARD drive
But I checked the Toshiba Web site for you, and it seems that Satellite A500 isn't equipped with the 2nd HARD drive.
If you want a 2nd HARD drive therefore use an external that you can connect via for example fast eSATA port.Good bye

Hallo all
Can someoane help me with this little problem?
I have a portable satellite A210-128 with a hard drive of 250 G 4200 RPM (* slowest *)... I want to change the hard drive with a hdd 2.5 "Western Digital 320 G 7200 RPM (* speed *).Question:

As to the question;
(1) I think a SATA2 HARD drive would go because the standard SATA2 is compatible to the bottom. But I assume that the system will operate as a good HDD SATA.
(2) Yes, you can install vista using the Toshiba Recovery DVD. It shouldn't be a problem with a fresh install

After trying the hard drive recovery part several times I got an error message saying that the bootmgr is missing. I have WINDOWS VISTA and just tried to reinstall my laptop of restoration on a HARD disk partition.
The restore went through, but then I got the error: WINDOWS COULD NOT COMPLETE the INSTALLATION. TO INSTALL WINDOWS ON THIS COMPUTER, RESTART THE INSTALLATION
When I press 'OK' (which is the only option), it tries to start again, until I get the same error through the black screen.
How can I get out of this loop please?

Hello
For any problem with the help of the recovery Partition that has been copied to the hard disk by the computer manufacturer, you must contact them.
This recovery process is the manufacturer, not Microsoft.

You never told us why you wanted to do a restore. If you had serious errors and the recovery process does not work, you will have hardware problems. BUT we're only guessing at this stage due to lack of information to help you.
