Satellite C650D - battery won't load + click left questions

Hey.

My laptop has essentially two issues right now. The minor is that the left button of the mouse sometimes does not work, but the more pressing issue is that the battery charge more. The thing works when plugged in but it just displays as "plugged in, not charging." After trying the only troubleshooting software I found, I can only assume it's a hardware problem.

Here, my laptop is out of warranty now. If these defects would require the machine to pull out or not? I'm just trying to establish costs in terms of level of service, it will.

Thanks for reading!

I also think that there is a hardware problem (ESF).
Try please to start computer laptop with AC only (removed battery) power and wait until Windows has finished loading. Put the battery inside and check if the same thing will happen again. Please let us know exactly what is happening.

I put t know if you use the laptop with battery power. If this isn't the case, it is not so important.
I have old A300 and my battery is not recognized correctly, but I n t care about it because I use it on the desktop with power current only.

  • L850 - 1 5 satellite replacement battery - do not load and not detected!

Hi, I recently bought a replacement battery for my Satellite L850 - 1 5 as the stock battery was fried. The stock battery couldn't hold a full charge for more than 10 minutes.

The replacement battery fits perfectly into the battery compartment, but the laptop does not light when the battery is in. It is not even turn on if I plug the charger ONCE I insert the new battery.

Basically this new battery does any record with the laptop, it won't load or anything... Is it possible that it's just a battery of spleen?

Any advice or help is massively appreciated!

    Thank you

    > It is not even turn on if I plug the charger ONCE I insert the new battery.

In my opinion the new battery isn't fully compatible.
Probably its a cheap Chinese product and not genuine battery out for the L850 series.

I have no other recommendation for you than buying new, authentic and fully compatible battery.

The battery 6 Toshiba PA5024U-1BRS (and PABAS260) must be compatible.

  • Satellite L500 - battery won't charge

    Hello

I had a problem last week - my laptop (Satellite L500) works well on alternating current, but the icon shows "plugged in, not load ' and the battery charge is at 0%. So if I remove the outgoing cable it runs immediately. Lighting load LED on the front of the battery is not more.

Laptop is a little more than two years, but works well, everything original Toshiba (battery and charger). I had noticed recently that the battery life was not what it was when lappy was new, but it lasted at least 45 minutes or more, so I knew the battery was endangered, but it is hard to believe it's just failed when two weeks ago could load and run OK?

    Any ideas?

    See you soon,.
    Rebecca

    > so I knew the battery was on the exit door but find it's hard to think he's just failed when two weeks ago could load and run OK?

I think that nothing is impossible, that it means that the battery could be defective.
Of course, it is my personal opinion, but I see only two possibilities: either its battery problem or motherboard problem.

So if I was you, I would check if the problem persists with a new battery tested.

By the way: you can also view this short work around:
-disconenct the battery and ac adptor
-Press the button power (30-40 seconds long)
-connect the battery and AC adapter and turn on the device
-to check if the battery can be charged.

    Hello

If you want and if you can, then you could try to replace the battery to check if this problem is related to a dysfunction of the accumulator.
I mean your battery is 4 years old and it wouldn't be nothing unusual if your battery does not work as it should.
My battery is about 6 years old and 3 years may not be loaded correctly.

But note that these are only suggestions and if you want to be 100% sure, you should ask a technician for a detailed notebook check.

  • Equium L10-142 - battery won't load

I've had my Equium L10-142 for about four years now, and I know that it is long enough for a laptop. Last year I had problems with the battery that refuses to load at all and more in the past months, the cable ca now seems to be worse and worse.

Now my laptop only stay on for a few minutes at a time when it is connected, the "low battery" WARNING continues to appear and keeps yellow light "plugged in" turn off, signaling that in a few seconds the machine turns off. Sometimes stirring done cable the light back on and the computer continues to run for a little while, so I thought that maybe there was a problem with the connectors for the power cable.

To be honest I know very little about computers, but I need trying to get my phone working again and I don't want to have to pay someone a lot of money just to tell me that my computer is too old and that it is just packaging.

Any ideas if there is a solution? Is there something I can do? A spare battery or a spare cable would make the case or is there no hope?

    Thank you very much

    Hello

First of all, you should know that after a long period of use (charge/discharge) battery will discharge the own performance and only a battery replacement would help to operate the laptop with battery.

But it should be able to run Notepad by using the adapter usually it should be a problem!

The battery in my old notebook lasts for about 2 min even it s full of 7 years :D
I removed the battery and use the laptop as a desktop PC. He always says on my table, connected to a power adapter.

I think that your laptop must always run on the sector, even if the battery is dead.

  • Satellite A300 - battery won't charge

I have a Satellite A300 - 21 H, which does not charge the battery, I tried a supply of replacement batteries and power with the same result, he said that they connected and charging the battery but in fact is not. Laptop works perfectly on power supply or battery, OS is windows 7. Any help would be appreciated.

    Hey,.

Have you tried to charge the battery while the laptop is turned off or on?

In your case, it would be test when the laptop is turned off. So you can make sure that is not a problem of software of s. check also if the LEDs for charge and connected adapter are on or off.

In the worst case there s a motherboard related problem because you have already tried a new battery and charger so I think that there is nothing more you can do, but it s my personal opinion

  • Satellite C50 - battery won't charge

Advice on how I can get my battery charge. Laptop says charge and 100% complete, says health battery charged and in good health, should be like only 4 months old laptop. Taking the battery out and pressed the button for 30 seconds, restarted, but the problem remains, as soon as immediately off. I think that there should be a light on the front that must be turned on and it is not.

Do you think that the battery is faulty? It is covered by the warranty?

    Thank you
    :)

Notebook is only 4 months old, so if there is a problem with the battery, you should get a new one.
You can contact the nearest Toshiba service provider, explain the situation and I hope that technicians will help you.
They can check the power supply Board and know what the problem is. Do it.

  • Satellite A660 - Windows won't load - I can't get back

    I have a Toshiba Satellite A660 7U.
Last night it could not start.

I ran the Norton ghost boot cd and save most of the things that I needed.
I also noticed player C has become just 1.5gig and there was an extra drive!

I tried to run the system restore by using startup Toshibas restore factory settings. first of all it does not have enough space in drive C, and then when I changed the settings to delete all partitions, he was preparing for a long time the copy as long (10 min) time and then turned itself off.

Now what should I do? My HARD drive has disappeared?
I see all my stuff when I use Norton ghost however. I copied most of the things in the drive (D) possibility of a virus?

    William

    Hello

I think that Akuma is right.
The Ghost has copied all the files (backup) image on the C partition and as a result there is no more free space on this partition.

I m wondering if you have created a Toshiba Recovery disk. Did you?
If you didn t create the recovery disk and if the disk HARD recovery option doesn't work, then you must order a new recovery disk to put the laptop back to factory settings.

Of course, it is an additional option if the procedure of restoring ghost image would not work.

  • Satellite C650 - battery won't charge

Laptop 18 months ago, with Windows 7. Has had a normal household use. In the last days, when the battery has run out and I plugged the AC charger, battery LED green light lights up green (battery charged). And the message I get when I hover over the battery icon is, say, 14% available battery, plugged in, not charging.

I googled the problem and found the battery method Microsoft ACPI compatible control uninstall and remove the battery, but only works for this battery charge. He returned to the Green LED, as soon as I plug the AC charger, even if the battery is at 10%.

Hope someone can help me with this. I'm not a geek so please keep this in mind when replying.

    Thank you.

    Hello

Maybe it's time to change the battery.
After 400-500 charge cycles the battery begins to lose own performance and sooner or later the replacement is inevitable.

I think you should try a new battery, but it is recommended to test the new battery before you buy then maybe you can visit a distributor in downtown and test a new battery

  • Satellite Pro P200 - 17 c: Win XP won't load - installation of the SATA driver

    Hello

I have a satellite pro p200 - 17 c I've had good years, allways worked without any problem.

Last week when I booted the laptop, windows won't load and I find myself safe mode selection screen. No options whatsoever me to windows loading, I tried F8 and still nothing.

I tried the restore cd that reimagee the drive but I get the same thing, I tried a new hard drive, once again the same.

But if I try to load windows from an OEM to install that software does not because it is a sata drive and there is no floppy drive. I have an external floppy drive I use, but it is not known now.

    Any ideas or suggestions?

    Hello

Go to BIOS and set it to default settings.

In this case the SATA mode must be on AHCI. In this case the SATA drivers are required to install the Windows operating system. But as much as I know that Windows 7 already contains the SATA drivers if usually you don t had to add SATA drivers while OS installation the installation program.

However, here is a nice HowTo document that helps you add SATA drivers for Win XP installation disc.
