Satellite C655 - no sound on external speakers

I just bought a Toshiba Satellite C655 and I can't not all the sounds from my speakers.

I do, however, by small internal Laptop speakers. I looked at the configuration of the card its (Conexant CX20671) and cannot find a way to select a configuration of external speaker. I use the good line jack (not the headphone jack), so I'm really confused as to what is the problem. What is this audio driver compatible with my external speakers (Logitech Z-540)?

Thank you for your help.

Hello

Just a simple question: have you tested other external speakers or headphones?

I mean if the internal speaker is working properly, it's is not a problem of playing the sound because you can hear the sound.
So in your case I test headphones and try to update the audio driver from Toshiba Web site.

    Hi all

I removed the speakers of the socket CAP and when I reinserted the card I did not all sounds.
When the external speakers were connected on the laptop, I would get a low noise through the speakers of the laptop.

Now its seems to be the opposite (I hear the noise when the external speakers are not connected).
I tried reinstalling the drivers but nothing happened. I don't know if the laptop does not recognize if the plug is connected or not.

Sometimes, I have a very low noise which is not clear and only one of the speakers (left or right).

    How can I solve this?

    Thanks in advance

  • Sound from external speakers too low

Original title: Windows 7 - sound too low external speakers

I have a laptop Toshiba Satellite L70-1 DR with Logitech speakers.  There is no roulette volume on this laptop.  A few months back the volume of the speakers slightly reduced.  I just increased the main volume and that of each player (Itunes, Spotify etc) to sort.  Then a few weeks ago the noise decreased again.  First of all, I plugged in my speakers to my daughter's laptop computer and they worked very well.  Then I made sure that the levels of the speakers in speaker properties has been increased to 100 and I have also increased the equalizer in Windows Media Player.  This worked well even though I was a little concerned why it was happening.  However yesterday, its got even lower and then its listenable, if you sit next to the laptop its way too low compared to what you would expect reasonably.  The noise level when I plug my headphones is very well.

I went through the troubleshooting procedure described in other posts, nothing helps.  I reinstalled the sound drivers - no change. I tried different improvements in switching in speaker properties - deactivation of all works of improvements, better but not good enough! And I've changed in exclusive mode on and outside, but no change.
There can someone provide other tips?  Thanks a lot :)
    John
Thanks for that - but I managed to solve this problem by removing the speakers, fiddling and putting them back together... Sorry if I wasted your time!
  • Qosmio G10 - no sound with external speakers

When I connect external speakers, no sound coming from them, on the built-in speakers. Could this be a hardware problem?
    Thanks for your help.

    Hello

You didn't explain what happening exactly when you put the audio in Audio out port Jack. Now integrated speakers shouldn't be active any more. If they still work, I guess this little mixer of audio port which allows to switch between internal and external stakeholders can be damaged.

If there is any attempt of trying to connect headphones or external speakers to make sure that no sound is at all.

    Good bye

  • Satellite L350 - no sound on internal speakers

A few months ago the internal speakers fell silent. The laptop had been in hibernation. The pledge of speakers at the bottom of the page will still go up and down just no sound. The sound is ok when I plug in external speakers.
The sound came back a number of times when I was in gaming.gambling sites. However, once I restart the laptop, it's back to no sound. I did the checking amoderne on windows 7 sites and he said everthing is working fine/uptodate. I installed the proposed pilot realtrek toshiba website, but nothing helped.
This seems to be a common problem with laptops Tosbiba watching different help sites.

    Suggestions please...

To be honest I don t understand why you think that exact this question must be a problem on Toshiba laptops.

Your old L350 came with Vista and it would be interesting to know if the same thing will happen with original Toshiba (Vista) recovery image.
On this virtual path, it is not easy to say what the problem may be and all this you can do first is to check all the sound settings.

If I understand you just sound back time in time (gaming.gambling sites). Can you confirm this?

  • No sound from external speakers

I just started to use external speakers connected by USB. They work fine for playing music or streaming content from Netflix and also for content that I downloaded using VLC media player, but they do not work for content using Flash, like YouTube. The internal Laptop speakers work fine with Flash. Support the customer for the external speakers proposed to change the sound setting in Flash but I can't figure out how to do this. I see the settings for microphone and camera, but not for her. I am able to change this setting and if so, how?  I use 11,5,31,2 on a Sony Vaio laptop, running Windows 7.

I finally discovered that this isn't a problem with Flash, but a google chrome question, I notice now I don't understand this browser info in my question.

  • Using headphones on the Satellite A660-BT2G22-sound reads from speakers

When I plug my Satellite A660-BT2G22 portable headphone the sound plays on the speakers and headphones.

There must be a way for me to make the game sound only through the headphones and I'd really like that because I'm going to College and will have a roommate and I want to listen to my own music and other things and not force him to hear my stuff all the time.

    Help, please?

This model of laptop is not known to me, but check the control panel and option for some audio Manager there. Ago on laptops with Soundcard Realtek Realtek HD Audio manager.
Check all the options, especially little folder symbol placed on the upper right side. When you click the connector settings window will open. Enable auto popup dialogue.
Now, every time when headphone is connected, you can choose helmet as one device that you want to use.

    Please check it out.

    Hello

Maybe the speakers are not defective but the small switch located in the dysfunctions of helmet?  :|
The little switch turns Mute speakers when headphones are connected.
Try to move the headset jack a little bit maybe you will notice a few differences

But just a question; you see yellow exclamation marks in Device Manager? Have you tried reinstalling the audio driver?
If this isn't the case, then I recommend to reinstall!

  • Satellite A110 - no sound is heard from a PC or external speakers

    Hello

    Need your advice;
I had a problem with my power cable, while the battery has not been installed.
This led to accedental power off, I think that this could led to the problem of hardware in the sound card.

I use Windows Vista SP1, and now there is no sound, despite the recent audio driver installation.

During playback, sound, windows volume indicator moves as if the sound is really produced,
but in fact no noise is heard of pc speakers or external speakers.

Any ideas if this could be a software or a hardware problem.

    Thank you
    Mohamed

Make sure that you don't cut the sound somehow. First check the FN + ESC key combination, and then go to control panel - sounds. Select properties and speakers. Volume levels, you can see a small speaker symbol. Make sure that neither the red symbol is here, which means, they are disabled.

Another thing you can try after this, completely uninstall the audio drivers, use a record cleaning tool to get rid of possible remainders, reboot and then install the latest drivers for the sound card.
