  Anyway, if you created the recovery disc please start your laptop and press f12 to get into the boot menu. When menu of startup appears on-screen set recovery disc 1 into the optical disk drive and choose the CD/DVD device as a boot device and press ENTER.

  You can check this in the task-> processes tab Manager
  Click the CPU column to get the ordered process and to show all processes that emphasize the CPU.

  Closing or disabling of these processes can reduce the performance of the processor.

  I think with SSD, you shouldn't have any problems. I updated my old P500 with 250 GB Samsung 840 SSD and it works perfectly.

• Satellite C660 1E2 - memory upgrade help

  I have this laptop which came with Windows 7 and 1 GB of memory - I found very slow the 1 GB and bought an extra 4 GB of crucial DDR3 PC3-8500. When I install the new memory it is bios but Windows crashes (blue screen).

  I don't check before hand, but the existing memory DDR3 PC3-10600, I know running 2 speeds at the same time is not ideal, but it does not have the 4 GB with the 1 GB or on its own.

  Does anyone have ideas - PC3-10600 speed do I need?

It is difficult to describe... Please help me. Two weaks without computer will kill me :) I tried to search for bad sectors - the hard drive is clean. I defragmented files system, without result. I changed supply plan of the standard Eco - without result. Formatting partitions, reinstall Windows 7, x 64-, without result. I'll be very happy if someone can tell me what to do.

  Way General, with official Toshiba drivers you are on the safe side because they are pre-tested. If you can make sure that they work properly and don t cause property damage. Install the other drivers happens on your own risk!

  The laptop is equipped with modules of DDR3 1066 MHz and the RAM speed is dependent on the FSB of the processor. If your CPU is throttling down, RAM modules will work also on low speed. On a high utilization of the processor (100%) the RAM modules must run with speed of 1066 MHz I think.
