Satellite C660 - compatibility between motherboard and hard drive internal
Hi, I have a problem with the compatibility between the internal (1 terabyte) hard drive and installing windows 7 pro.
I broke my old internal hard drive (320 GB) and I bought the new hd (1 tb), but during the installation it says that w7 cannot be installed on this new hard drive.
Can my pc motherboard (serial number: 3B071014k) support the new hard drive (serial number: wd10jpvx)?
and if the answer is 'yes', how can I make it work?
First of all the question has nothing to do with the motherboard and HARD drive compatibility.
If the HARD drive is visible in the BIOS (first page), the HARD drive is supported by the BIOS and HARD disk controller.
In the case where the drive HARD isn't recognized, you will need to replace this HARD drive with another. I guess the smaller size of the 2.5 SATA HDD THAT would be taken in charge (500 GB)
However, in case the HARD disk is visible in the BIOS, you should be able to install Windows 7.
Before starting the installation, you must format the HARD drive and should create the system partition.
For this procedure, I recommend to use some tools such as partitions for example: GParted
GParted is a freeware Linux tool.
You can create a bootable USB key in order to start the device using GParted:
http://gparted.sourceforge.NET/LiveCD.php
Then, you should be able to format the HARD disk and create partitions.

PC Diagnostic in my Satellite C660 tool shows FAIL to HARD drive
When I run the PC Diagnostic tool in my Satellite C660 it shows the result as "FAILURE" for the hard drive.

He said nothing, I mean diagnostic tool Pc can can show result falsely and the drive works very well himself. In any case, backup all data in case of failure. You can also download the 3rd party program to test the State of the hard drive. (such as hard drive Inspector)

Satellite A210-171 - replacement screen and HARD drive
Hello
My partner is having some problems with his laptop computer, namely one - screen flickering Guard (lines run through, like a jump of TV) indicates that there may be a problem to use. She's out of its warranty, so I'm going to replace the screen.
Can anyone suggest where to look for a replacement, we are not rich - I have a budget for it and so I'm looking for some advice.Second, she had a replacement hard drive recently, the person who put the new, has done so with a lot less of it, 60 GB instead of 160 GB, I'm looking to replace it in the same was as above.
So, can you give me advice on this practice as the last time I worked on a portable computer was 2001 (the size of a house!) and also make suggestions on alternatives less expensive which would continue to operate.
The laptop in question; http://www.morecomputers.com/extra.asp?PN=psafje-003003ks
We are resident in the United Kingdom.
Thank you very much
Hey Buddy,
In this case, you must contact an authorized service provider. Guys can order all spare parts Toshiba they will agree and will function properly. On the Toshiba site, you can find a list of them!
On the LCD, you should choose an original. There are many different screen on the market and it is difficult to tell if another would work in your notebook.
The HARD drive, you can buy everywhere. Just ask Google for some online stores where you can buy it. I have good experiences with Western Digital.

Satellite C660 - Config issues after replacing HARD drive
More widely successful replacement of original failure HDD in SATA 500 GB unit three problems persist.
Cannot be changed from the current look of "widescreen" display resolution distorted despite trying all the options in the Panel.
Associated with, perhaps, is that even simple games start with warning 'game running in software rendering mode' and then run very slowly. Hardware acceleration is on, and I think that the latest video card driver is installed.
Finally, Windows Live Mail (WLM), already widespread, does not start. Warning message says "your calendar contains corrupt data that forcing WLM to close (0x8E5E0247).
Any advice / help gratefully received...
Tim
Can you please tell us what model of laptop do you have?
Have you installed original recovery image that you got with your laptop using recovery disks created?Recovery image contains good drivers and it should work properly.

Anyone out there who would try to open their laptop Toshiba Satellite A50, what type of RAM and hard disk of brand you all have inside?
All the portable toshiba comes with Toshiba RAM and hard drive?Hello
As far as I know the Satellite A50 uses DDR PC2700 modules. These modules must be compatible:

PC2700 512 MB (PA3312U - 1 M 51)
1024MO PC2700 (PA3313U-1M1G)There are different models of Satellite A50, but I think that there should be a drive HARD IDE(ATA-6) 60 GB 4200 RPM with 8 MB buffer size.
Here is all the information I found.

Sharing of files and hard drive between computers
Dear Sir or Madam:
I'm trying to connect two computers, which I named system A and system b. Computers and a DSL modem at wire speed Westel are connected to a router Asus WL-520 through ethernet LAN cables wireless/wired. HP PSC 2355 printer is connected to the router with a USB cable. The LAN on board two computers automatically configures the IP addresses of the form 192.168.x.x, which, in my view, to work. However there is no connectivity between the two computers, systems A and B. They do not see the shared disks and files on the other. The operating system is Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition, Version 2002 with Service Pack 3, n ° 76477-OEM-0015717-31545.
When I ran the program ipconfig on each a said computer specification that IP routing is not enabled. See the configuration below. IP routing must be enabled in order to have connectivity? How IP routing is enabled in Windows XP? In the Services section of the Control Panel, there is the Routing and remote access, which is disabled and other related networking services, of which some are also disabled. What services must be enabled for computers to connect to share files and hard drives?

Hello
The display is OK. The routing setting this isOoff is not relevant in your case.
----------------
Configure all of the computers to share files and you have a network Lcall.
Make sure that the software firewall on each computer allows free local traffic. If you use 3rd party Firewall on, Vista/XP Firewall Native should be disabled, and the active firewall has adjusted to your network numbers IP on what is sometimes called the Zone of confidence (see part 3 firewall instructions
General example, http://www.ezlan.net/faq#trusted
Please note that some 3rd party software firewall continue to block the same aspects it traffic Local, they are turned Off (disabled). If possible, configure the firewall correctly or completely uninstall to allow a clean flow of local network traffic. If the 3rd party software is uninstalled, or disables, make sure Windows native firewall is active .

As noted, my motherboard has failed. IDE only AGP CPU core. Not much use trying to find anotherof those. Replaced the motherboard with a newer version. It has SATA, multi core processor, etc. Processor and HARD drive had to be replaced.
My Vista home premium 32 bit running on my machine for years. I loaded it on the upgrade with no problems. Went to windows update and SP1 and then SP2 and all other windows updates suggest and worked very well, for a few days.
Now, I get a message that the product key is already used and need to buy AnotherOne coming soon.
I didn't really want to do.

Satellite L70-A-109: is-replace HARD drive empty my warranty?
Hello
I bought a Toshiba Satellite L70-A-109, but I would like to replace the HARD disk with a disk hard solid state
Now replace the drive HARD void my warranty?I can replace the ram and I see that the ram and HARD drive are under the same door
Also if I can replace it without voiding my warranty where can I find the drivers?
It seems, for my model, that there is no drivers well think I find the drivers for the normal series of L70 - A
those are the same?I hope toshiba can help me with this question...
Replacing the HARD drive does not affect the warranty.
Here all the details and instructions how to replace the HARD drive
[Toshiba Satellite C70 / C75 / C70D / C75D / L70 / L70t / S70 / replace drive HARD S70t | http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/CRU3703HG0000R01.htm]> I find the drivers for the normal series of L70 - those who are the same?
Did you find another Satellite L70-A-xxx model on the page of the Toshiba UE driver?
I imagine that you didn t.You'll find drivers choose L70 - A short numbers and additional satellite as PSKNEE, PSKN2E, etc.
At the bottom of the unit, you will find a label providing different numbers.
There is also a number something like this: + PSKNEE-00D003BT +.
It's _Model_ part number and in this case to get the drivers, you need search satellites L70 - A PSKNEE.Hope you know how to search the drivers now.

Satellite A200-1CR: Question about upgrade HARD drive
Hi all...
I would like to ask something...I have toshiba Satellite A200-1cr with 120 GB HARD drive...
I would like to change my HARD drive. I found a disk hard 2.5 "with 250 GB.
My questions are the following:
(1) my knowledge of the workstations are very very good. Is it easy to change myself?
I guess it is, but I want to be sure... I guess that is on IDE, right? No SATA at all?(2) if I changed it I lose my warranty?
(3) can I give my laptop Toshiba in Greece official store and let them make the change?
May I take in an informal shop, too?(4) can be put on the laptop 2 x 250 GB such US new computers laptops from toshiba?
Is there enough space in the laptop for such a change?Thank you in advance...
Hey Buddy
It is good that ask you the question.
(1) the Satellite A200-1CR supports SATA and no IDE interface and that's why you need a SATA HDD. It of really not difficult to replace the HARD drive and as far as I know, you should find a few details in the user manual. There is a useful statement and photos that explain the entire procedure.
(2) hm AFAIK the drive replacement HARD will not void the warranty, and has no effect on the State of security.
(3) you can also contact the maintainer authorized Toshiba in your country for a HARD drive replacement, but in my opinion that is not really necessary because the replacement is not very sensitive. As I said above, check the user manual.
(4) I don t think that your laptop will support 2 x 250 GB HARD drive.
Of course, there are a few other series laptops which are abele to support two hard drives but I n t think that your laptop A200 support.Just a small comment on the new HARD drive:
The fact is that some more HARD drive are not supported by the BIOS. I mean an upgrade to 120 GB to 250 GB drive HARD is really a leap one possibly your BIOS would not recognize the HARD drive correctly.
So I recommend to test the HDD first before buying.Good bye

You will find figures for the product here in the service of maintenance & guide for the laptop G6. As far the hard drive will I highly recommend that you use SATA instead of SATA2 or SATA3 for the best compatibility with the interface of disk on the system board controller.

A1103 new Ram and HARD drive will not start
Hello.
I have a Mac mini A1103. When I got there the folder flashing with question mark. I got a macbook earlier where this problem was solved by installing a new hard drive. so I ordered a new 160 GB IDE 2.5 "5400 RPM and 1 GB Corsair Valueselect DDR1 333 MHz hoping that this will help me get the mini running and preforming a little better with 512 MB of Ram.
When I boot the mini after swapping ram and hard drive I always see the same flashing folder. I can reset the NVRAM Boot, enter diskmode target? (I think) and the Boot Manager.
When I enter the Boot Manager I can see the following screen
a few times I get to this screen for Open Firmware screen where I can use certain commands such as vram-reset reset-all rebot and so, but sometimes I'm just stuck on this screen.
Anyone have any suggestions on what is wrong and what I can try next? I do not have the boot original dvd but I have a usb bootable with IOS 10.6 and a dvd with IOS 10.6 (not original) but I can't get botting from any of the devices.
A Mac Mini A1103 has a G4 Power PC processor and cannot be greater than 10.5.8. Superior OSX versions require an Intel processor.
In this statement "a usb bootable with IOS 10.6 and a dvd with IOS 10.6 (not original)" I think you mean OSX, not of iOS. You must obtain a copy of the original installation disc which was 10.3 or 10.4 or disk to upgrade to 10.4 or 10.5 full retail. Coverall A1103 all three 2005 models of the Mac Mini G4.
You cannot use a grey disc unless it was delivered with your specific Mac. Native gray disc with Macs and can not e used on the other model of disc.
You can probably call Apple and order a copy of the original disks

23 - f270: RAM and hard drive one device?
Hello
I had recently a hard drive has failed/bad in my computer that was just out of warranty, so I took my computer to a computer repair man who said he could replace the old/bad disk with a new one. This man didn't really hold up to the end of his contract, and now I find myself in a dispute with him as he always has my HP PC and he gave me a lesser Dell as if to replace. Now, I contacted the office busniness better for resolving this dispute. But it is now trying to claim that he gave me the HP drive hard and RAM unit. This man gave me was a rectangular metal box telling me that it was the old bad hard drive. So what I need to know is are the hard drive and RAM in this a model room? I need proof that if the RAM is not present, he was the one who pulled it and sold it. They only gave me one of the components of the computer, and I would like to know if the RAM and hard drive are one or two pieces of sepearte?
Thank you
Hello
RAM and hard drive (HDD) are two different things. Your machine has 6 GB of RAM, which means it has 2 sticks, and 1 TB of HDD (1 unit). His record:
