• WRT1900ACS - low wifi signal strength

  Finally, I returned my reboot constantly and lock WRT1900AC V1 and got a new WRT1900ACS in Exchange.  (Thanks for the service of 2 year contract with bestbuy).

  The intensity of the signal of the WRT1900AC V1 was regularly 3 to 6 DB louder than my Apple Airport.  It's one of the things that I really liked on the V1 WRT1900AC... good coverage.

  The WRT1900ACS is more stable, but the signal strength is very low compared to the Apple Airport.

  Here are the results of a test... in both cases I measured the signal strenth with my MacBook Air with the routers placed in the same position and from the same location.  I have reproduced this test of different areas of the House and in all cases, the airport was a signal much stronger.

  This is the airport.  RSSI is - 68 DBm, which is a very good signal.

  

  Now, here's the WRT1900ACS. RSSI is - 80dBm which is an almost unusable signal.

  

  So here are my questions to the experts of the group... would you say that this WRT1900ACS is defective and must be returned?  Or y at - it something on the ACS firmware that has changed (I'm currently running with the last 1.0.0.172978 rev).

  No amount of 4 on the WRT1900ACS antenna setting does make a difference.

  Looking for some ideas to try before returning this unit to another Exchange.

  For more insulation, we manually will reflash the firmware of the device. You can do the following:

  I just bought a Satellite A100-163, and while wireless, it works to the full 54 members of Parliament he said that the signal is very weak.   The WLan signal depends on many factors. But maybe we can solve your problem with changing some settings in the WLan card properties.
  Go to Device Manager and enter the properties of card Wlan (right click)
  You will find a power management tab. The power save option should be disabled.

  In addition, you can check another option in the properties. I think it should also be something such as a scope of the WiFi signal. Sorry, I can t remember the full name.

  Got the Kitkat 4.4.4 update 3 days back. After updating the device is delay and then more slowly before. And the main question for me atleast is the WIFI signals which are now LOW and SIM network loss.

  anyway to get around this? I read on another forum that wiping cache WOULD solve that problem. But I don't want to ROOT my device.

  I understand that your wireless network has a short range of signal and the signal is weak, even if you sit close to the router. Even if you've tried a few troubleshooting you have not been able to overcome this difficulty. Assuming that you are running Windows, have you checked the updates? You ran the Windows troubleshooting tool? • Satellite C660 loses a wifi connection when unplugged from charger

  I have a problem with my C660, when the charger is connected wifi works well, however, when I unplug the charger wifi loses connection within 30 seconds. This happens every time. I've updated the BIOS and no difference.

  It's the second C660 with this problem when I bought the first laptop, that was happening, so I brought curries and they replaced the faulty laptop, however, the same question with the second unit.

  I'm a complete newbie to graphics problems.

  I just bought the Toshiba Satellite P300 with ATI HD 3650 and am really frustrated.
  Basically, it seems that my graphisc is dead.

  When I ran a few tests like 3Dmark 05 or 06 and got 2 images per second. I tired to remove all drivers and install the most recent with CCC 9.10. After this operation, I can see the latest drivers installed, but nothing really works. I can't access the card to the display manager.

  One of the tests also showed me 'missing' graphic chipset which I have no idea what it means.
  I installed NFS Undercover, and the game is unplayable. It seems that the nightmare.
  I thought that with below the settings I would be able to see at least something execpt for avi files.

  You must use the graphics on the page of Toshiba driver!
  These drivers are tested and should work.

  What about BIOS? Use the latest version of the BIOS?
  Check this box and if the most recent BIOS is available-> to date!

  In addition, you should check your game settings.
  Try to reduce the graphic details and other options that need too many graphic resources.

  3 hours are ok I mean the battery working time depends on the use of the laptop and well, it varies.
  If you want to extend the battery work, I recommend to decrease the brightness of the display and modification of some parameters of the power of Windows 7 at welcoming level option battery.
  For example, the CPU, cooling modules and GPU performance can be reduced for longer battery working time.

  You have another user on this computer account? You are able to see the network indicator in the taskbar notification on this account? Follow the steps in this document to create a new user account.   You can improve management of power supply for the WLan settings!
  If that doesn't work, update the Wlan driver too!

• My dilemma - should keep the K1 despite the intensity of the weak wifi signal?

  So here's my story:

  I bought Lenovo K1 for many during the period of holiday Office Depot for $299. It was worn and really poor wifi signal strength. I wanted to Exchange, but Office Depot informed me that the K1 had been abandoned, so they gave me a refund. I was really sold on the K1 and thought maybe it was just my camera, so I ended up buying a new K1 on Amazon for about $350. I ran all the updates and I am now on the latest version of the software. Unfortunately, the new tab is range and low resistance. It is little matter where I am. I used it at home, in my office, at the in-laws, and the signal strength is low.

  Here's what I've done so far:

  -J' tried to leaving my router settings, based on the reading of the various recommendations of various forums-still no luck. (However, still would not help if I'm out and about.)

  -J' I download and run Wifi Analyzer, I normally vary between 65-75 dBm while standing within 8 to 20 feet from the router. (Comparable to my HTC Evo, but 15-20 dBM below my laptop at the same place).

  -J' used the speed Test from Ookla app - around 5 Mbps down to 2.5 (my colleague was getting up at the same place on his ipad around 20 Mbit/s down and 10Mbps).

  I'm at a crossroads now - I really, really like the K1 for most. It was a very good price, I really don't want to spend over $ 400 on a tablet. But since a lot of my use requires internet connection, is it worth keeping?

  Or should I just go back, put my money and wait for the Lenovo S1 Tablet out in June-July.

  Any comments would be much appreciated!

  For what it's worth, my K1 Gets the same results as my Nook Tablet - 12 down and 2-up on TW at home.

  Edit: got 18/2 this morning, same place. TW to blame for the lack of consistency.

• Poor/little reliable Lenovo P500 wifi signal

  Recently, I bought my new Lenovo ideapad p500... and like most of the time. I dealt with some very unstable wireless connections with this machine. Another device, not more than 2 feet of distance and equidistant to the router, a full signal, yet my ideapad Lenovo P500 barely two bars.

  I know low wifi signal is the problem for the other known models and I was wondering if this model has also been victim of this problem. I become very angry due to the interruption of the connection, resulting in work stoppage, while everyone has full signal.
