Then to control the mouse and Panel options and they say the software that manages the carpet mouse everything is perfect, but it is obviously not.

Can someone help me? :(

Hello

First check to see if the touch pad is not disabled.
You can enable and disable the touchpad through FN + F9.

If this is not enough, I recommend updating the driver for the touchpad.
Uninstall the driver for the touchpad, first, reboot the laptop and then install the new touchpad driver downloaded.

Good luck

Even if you have not changed the settings in the BIOS, you must Access the BIOS to make sure that the webcam is turned on it!

I also recommend the suite of this workaround:
    Uninstall the webcam software
    Uninstall the VAP
Uninstall all software needed the webcam (Skype, etc...)
Now, restart and install CCLeaner (cleaning of freeware software)
    Reboot once more.
Run CCleaner and clean the system and the registry.
    Reset
Now follow with installation of VAP
    Reset
    Install the webcam software
    Reset
    Test webcam.

    Good luck

My mousepad stopped working. How do I turn it back on?

A mouse pad is normally a rectangle that you run your mouse above when using rubber.

It's a laptop? Do you mean the touchpad, not a mouse pad?

If so, and it has stopped working without your having done anything, it is likely that the material is not the manufacturer of the laptop.

    Hello

How did you notice this problem? You get an error message or something else?

It's really hard to say why this happens, but first I would try to update the driver for the webcam. You can get the latest version on the Toshiba site:
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com-online decision-making supported Downloads & => Download drivers

Install the latest version and try again.

By the way: you run factory settings or you have installed your own version of Windows?

    Hello

Before you begin to uninstall or reinstall some Toshiba firmware, I would like to know what Satellite L550D-xxx you exactly.

The point is that different L550D models were equipped with a different wireless network cards.
Not quite sure if your have a Realtek Wlan card. It looks like a Realtek LAN card.

However, you must first check if the wireless network card is recognized correctly in the Device Manager.
In the Manager of peripheral devices, network cards, you should see LAN and WLan card.
In the case where the card WLan display correctly (no yellow exclamation) WLan driver installation is not necessary.

In this case, you should go to the next step: check if you can enable / disable the wireless network adapter using the FN + F8 key combination.
Where this is not possible, check if other keys FN function.
Where other keys FN don t work, you must reinstall the software mentioned (Toshiba Value Package added, Flash cards).

This can be done in the control panel-> programs & features
After that the two software can be removed, clean the system using CCLeaner.
Now, you can check the EU Toshiba driver page http://www.toshiba.eu/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp to download the software deleted.
Installation is easy; Unzip the package and run the installation exe file

Then you should be able to use the FN + F8
After that the WiFi network has been successfully activated, go to the network & sharing Center-> manage wireless (left) and click Add to configure the new wireless network

  • Satellite C855 - speakers suddenly stopped working

I have a Satellite C855-1J2 running Windows 7 Edition Home Premium SP1. I turned on December 21, 2012 and installed five applications - the latest versions of Firefox, CeltX, Notepad ++, Open Office and Microsoft Security Essentials (I removed McAfee). I have the latest Windows. Since then I have not installed other applications.

Three days later, my laptop was working fine until, suddenly, that the speakers stopped working. I can identify the specific incident that caused it. I connected a pair of perfectly ordinary headphones using the standard headphone jack, power the laptop off, after that I was done listening but headphones plugged on the left.

When I turned on the laptop back the next day, no sound came in headphones.
When I unplugged them, no sound came from the speakers.
I rebooted my machine and the speakers worked fine.

However, I am now in a situation where whenever I turn on my laptop, the speakers do not work and they will work again when I restart then. A little investigation of this problem shows the following...

Whenever I turn on my laptop and go to control panel-> hardware and sound-> manage Audio devices I see two items:

    (1) ' - high definition Audio Device - speakers not plugged"with a speaker greyed out icon with a red arrow.

    (2) "audio digital (S/PDIF) - high definition Audio Device - default device" with a colored external amplifier icon (it looks a bit like a DVD player) with a green check mark. There is an icon of audio level next to him that shows sound whenever the sound is played on my laptop, but no sound is audible, either through my speakers or headphones.

Whenever I then reboot my laptop and go to control panel-> hardware and sound-> manage Audio devices I can see an article:
"Speakers - Realtek High Definition Audio - Default Device" with a colorful speaker and a green arrow icon. The sound works perfectly well.

I already looked online and the Toshiba forums for a solution to this, but while I found lots of people with similar problems of speaker with Toshiba Satellite laptops, I have not found a solution (and when I say something, I mean something a little more useful that "have you tried completely reinstalling your operating system') so this thread.

Even if a reboot is currently to solve my problem, I obviously shouldn't have to restart my machine at all in order to get something as simple as his, so my questions are:
    (1) what is the cause of this problem - in other words, why what is happening?
    (2) what is the Toshiba solution to this problem?

    Thank you very much.

    Hello

It seems to me that the issue you described above that the speakers would not be chosen as device by default, but the Audio Digital (S/PDIF).
Somehow the audio driver cannot detect the first initialization of the system speakers.

I don't know why this happened but I have two proposals:

(* 1) * uninstall the audio driver from the system. Download the driver from his most recent of the Toshiba page and install it after restarting the laptop first.

(* 2) * if installing the audio driver is not enough, the last resort would be the recovery of the system.

(> 2) what is the Toshiba solution to this problem?
If you want to get a recommendation of Toshiba, I would give advice to connect with people. It is the community of users.

  • Satellite C660 - keyboard does not work

    Hello world

I've recently updated the BIOS to version 1.60 on my PSC0LE C660-02300JEN (1 year) and the keyboard doesn't work well at all and sometimes stops working completely, making it unusable (I write on an external USB keyboard.).

There was a recurring problem, a few months before I updated the BIOS with the strike being delayed or does not respond, sometimes when you type, but for the most part, it still worked.

So I've updated the BIOS, as suggested, and I get the following problems:

The space bar is either not responding or when you press + 2 written or +++ again and again until I stop it by pressing the SPACEBAR again.

    None of the numbers works.

Sometimes the entire keyboard no longer works and none of the keys of a reaction.

    I tried solutions:

    Remove the battery.

cleaning the keyboard to get whatever it is dislodged out under the keys.

Reinstall the version 1.60 of the BIOS.

I'm not sure what to do next and really appreciate the advice and help before I try to get the keyboard replaced. It would be nice to get an opinion before I gain for a fix.

    Really welcome responses.

    Thank you very much

    Patrick

    Hello

I think that this problem of keyboard is not related to the BIOS update not to other software.
Is that you can use the external USB keyboard as you said above this means that the BIOS is ok and also the functions of controller keyboard correctly

This means that the problem is related to a malfunction internal keyboard. I have no explanation why this happened after the update, but it could be just a bad luck

In my view, the problem can be solved by the replacement of keyboard.

  • Re: Satellite P100 PSPAAE - sound stopped working

I'm on Vista Home Premium using a Satellite P100 PSPAAE. My sound doesn't work anymore, I think after an automatic update.

I downloaded and installed the latest driver from Toshiba support but no joy, and make site back does not set it.

MS load an older version, when I have auto update.

Which driver should I I have installed cause I'm totally confused now. Is there a trick to install?

I wouldn't mud autour trying to find the right software. Instead of buying everything and tell them that the sound has stopped working. They will fix it for you.

I went through it and it turned out to be my hard drive. Could be a different default for you, but of course it took the sadness on me when I arrived at the place to fix it for me.

    Good luck.

  • Satellite M60-132 - USB stops working until you restart

    My problem looks like this:

All USB ports die after a few minutes (time may vary, but is shortened recently) after the start. They give no error - the USB mouse stops responding, the USB drive gives stops giving "delayed write failure" or sth like that. They are all visible and OK in device (Windows XP) Manager, no problem not being reported here. They have just stop working. I tried to reinstall Windows. It is not dependent on the OS actually. For example, I can boot from a live CD of SuSe Linux and ports will also die after a few minutes - they do on any OS tested.

Now, I have discovered (GOOGLE usb ports stops working until the reboot) that several Satellite M60 users report this problem with their old cell phones. Exactly the same thing - ports die after a certain time of start and remain that way until you restart. In one case the user writes that he bought a cardbus PCMCIA USB controller and the problem continues - the ports of the controller when dying as well as embedded.

My idea is to try even when the PCMCIA - maybe it will work in my case (another chip etc - you have never know). And anothr one must try to connect a USB hub to the Firewire port available. There are USB to Firewire Converter cards - could work like that?

Anyone know any solution to my problem or have an opinion on my ideas? I am looking to buy a new laptop, which I can't really afford right now...

    Hello

To be honest I've ever read on these problems on the Satellite M60, but it can happen from time to time, because it of also a fairly old laptop.

My friend also uses a PCMCIA card that has USB ports on his old notebook. He is quite satisfied with this solution because it don t need to each time the USB ports. Just sometimes if he's copying files on USB.
These cards are cheap, you can get it for a few s Euro and you can buy this card where you want, for example Amazon.co.uk.

I never heard firewire to USB ports, which is new to me and I n t have experience with this.

    Welcome them
