Satellite C660 - question on recovery media

I ordered the recovery media for my laptop the girls. Do we know if this refers to adjustments of plant including drivers and software pre installed as the email says just as Windows 7.

See you soon

> We know if this relates back to the factory, including pilots and pre installed software settings

I thought that it would take only a minimum of time, but... of course...

To create recovery DVDs, I highly recommend to use DVD-R virgins only. Of course, it must be high quality as TDK or Verbatim product.

  • Required for Satellite Pro A300-PSAG1E0 recovery media

Hi guys I have a bit of a problem with my laptop (Satellite Pro A300-PSAG1E0). Although some questions really

I had the laptop bought as gift second hand from eBay. Registration said the notebook had Downgrade XP support provided on DVD that he was not and that I could create a copy of the recovery media using the construction in software which is not that there is no creator thereon recovery software.

I believe that the laptop is running an illegal version of Windows, as the product key sticker says it is intended to be run Vista Home top and it works in windows 7.

The seller disappeared and he is not answering all of my calls. IM at my end of whits thereby as being a low income means that I can't really afford to buy an official Windows disk or recovery media.

Any help on how I could get the recovery disks or advice on how I can get a legal copy of Windows would be great. I also have it reported to microsoft as suspicious software.

    Once again thank you

  • P50-C-128 - 10 Windows satellite updated - issue of recovery media

I upgraded my Windows 10 laptop and have done since a recovery using the Recovery Media Creator Toshiba USB drive; My question is it will take up to 10 Windows or the original Windows 8.1?

Are also all the drivers and the software recovered?

Thanks for your patience - I am fairly new to this!

Did you create a recovery key USB flash memory before upgrading Windows 10?

Usually, the Toshiba recovery media set the laptop back to factory... to the very system that was preinstalled at the beginning.

  • Satellite Pro S500-115 - recovery media

    Hello

We bought a toshiba satellite pro S500-115, and we are very disappointed!
In the first two months, I brought to service three times, because it was freezing up to a few hours.
Finally, they changed processor and motherboard.

    Then, the major problem appeared.
I could not do before recovery media, because of the freezing, but now the official service has also removed the hard drive - just in case...
So, I have media recovey, may not be downloaded, or other media of Win7 do not accept the number of bellows.

I send mail for help several times at the headquarters of toshiba, but they just don't care! I discovered that I have to pay extra to get the media - but I already bought system! It's really shiiit, and I do not suggest my clients to buy anything from Toshiba.

I don't really like their atitude. they just want to sell, but then they just don't care, * are!

Mate of the really sad story
I think you should get in touch with a local ASP in your country.
As far as I know in many (perhaps all) European countries you will find subsidiary of Toshiba and I think EPA should be able to transmit to the Toshiba in your country.

    Good luck man

PS: I got some problems with my laptop and my PSA has been very helpful. I was very satisfied, how the issue has been addressed

  • Question about Recovery Media Creator

Hello everyone, first of all, I don't know if this should be in this category, but I thought it would be best to post in.

My question is about the progress of the Recovery Media Creator. I was about to create the recovery DVD and I noticed that there are several support options for recovery (Recovery Media recovery media 3 1).

My question is, what are the differences between them? No matter if I only check one of them, so I need less DVD or smaller USB?

    Thanks in advance.

PS Excuse my grammar or bad explanation if there is no error.

    Hello

As much as I know there is no difference between the to 3 1 recovery media recovery media.
This info shows you ONLY the quantity of disks required.
If you create a recovery using a DVD media, you might have more than one DVD disc.
In case you create USB recovery media, you won't have many different memory USB flash keys.

  • Satellite Pro C850 - missing Recovery Media Creator

I recently bought a C850 Pro Satellite and, after update to Windows 7 and everything defining the way I like it, I tried to create a recovery media.

However, when I click on Recovery Media Creator in the programs, the file 'TRMCLcher.exe' is not found. In fact, I can't find anywhere on the computer.

In the directory C:/Program Files/Toshiba/Toshiba Recovery Media Creator, there is an app called "toRDC.exe" but it does not.

Someone has ideas how to get creator of Meda recovery to run? D rather avoid the hassle to use the recovery option of hard drive partition to return to factory settings if possible, especially as I doubt m Recovery Media Creator works even in this case, I have seen ve not deleted or modified files with the program.

Grateful for any help, thank you.

Take a look at this page:
    http://www.MyToshiba.com.au/support/computers/Satellite/Pro/C850/pskc9a-00t019/download?OS=25

Here, I could find the Toshiba Recovery Media Creator for Win 7 64 bit for download.
Of course, if you need 32-bit version, you must change the settings in the upload form.

  • Satallite L50-C-1FR - Question on recovery media

I recently bought a laptop Satallite L50-C-1FR. I deleted and added many applications. I used the Recovery Media Creator to make recovery DVD. During the process of textual information said that there is a recovery image on the hard drive. This is not specified, it is how to work my three DVD. They are independent from the image on the hard drive? Furthermore, I made these DVD after making a lot of changes for installed applications.

Is the recovery media I did register these changes?

When you buy the notebook you will get preinstalled with recovery image (factory settings). This recovery image is also recorded on the HARD drive and when you create recovery discs this image will be copied onto disks.

Please note: all applications available to you also will not be part of the package.

One day, when you want to have factory settings again please use the created disks and reinstall the recovery image. Of course, start with number 1 DVD and when necessary (display message) placed second or third DVD in ODD and continue the recovery image installation.

I just bought a R830-182, whenever I start it, "TOSHIBA Recovery Reminder" appears to tell me to run "TOSHIBA Recovery Media Creator", however, no similar application does seem to exist anywhere on the machine. Any ideas where I can find it?

    b.

It should appear in the start menu > all programs > Toshiba. Either in this case or in public services.
    Please review and send comments.

  • Satellite A660 - question of recovery of the system and Windows software

    Hi all

I recently bought a new Toshiba laptop and created a set of disks for backup use Toshiba Recovery media creator.
Now, this laptop is proved to be defective and was exchanged by another.
There was a slight difference in the software, what the faulty version was preloaded Office 2010 starter and the new Office 2007 trial 60 busy days.

As I have already created backup discs of the defective model (i.e. same spec/model number) can just recover the system using the device backup discs?

The reason why I want to do is that I prefer the Office 2010 Starter version (as opposed to the trial version). Software recovery disks that you create on this computer in particular connected serial number is or can I use them on the new machine to replace the identical specifications?

    Thank you

Generally you can use it if the two laptops have the same part number (model number PAxxxx).

Before that, you create an original DVD for the machine, you now have. If something goes wrong, you can use the original disc.

  • How can I get my Satellite Pro A100 product recovery media?

When I bought my A100, I didn't any of the product recovery media. I assumed it would be pre - installed on a partition of my hard drive. Seems not to be the case.

I want to resize my main partition to allow me to install linux on the space that would be made available. While Linux will do for me, just in case there is an error, I need a copy of the product for XP and other software pre-installed recovery media. Direct contacts on the Toshiba site are difficult to locate.

So I was wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction? I am a UK user.

    Hello

If the recovery disk was not supplied with the laptop, then you should be able to create a recovery disk using the preinstalled tool called Toshiba Recovery Disk Creator.
I think that you didn t read the user manual after you have received the laptop

Anyway usually the recovery disc can be ordered here:
    https://backupmedia.Toshiba.EU/landing.aspx

But not all the recovery discs would be available, especially if the laptop series was abandoned this means that you can not order a recovery disc if the laptop series is too old you can also try to contact a local ASP (partner) in your country for assistance and could try to order this disc it.

Otherwise, you must use an original disc of MS Windows all drivers can be downloaded from the page of European driver of Toshiba.

    Hello

You want to disable this notification?

You can do it is msconfig. Start the msconfig go to Startup tab and disable the process that is responsible for the notification of Toshiba Media Creator. Save the changes and restart the device.

By the way; It would be advisable to clean the BONES and the registry using CCleaner. This tool is free and deletes all temporal files

  • Satellite L25 - Question on recovery DVDs

I have to do a clean re-install of my Satellite L25-S119. I have the recovery and the Applications DVD, but not sure if this includes Windows XP Home Edition. I've had this laptop as a birthday present so not sure if it comes with a separate Windows CD. I want to just make sure I'll be back Windows XP Home Edition.

    Hello

The recovery DVDs contains the operating system already preinstalled (factory settings). Another Windows CD is not distributed with Toshiba laptops. The recovery DVDs contains the operating system itself, all the necessary drivers and all Toshiba designed tools and utilities.
