  I call or e-mail HP and ask for warranty repair.  It sounds like a defective screen for me.  Maybe give it a day or two to see if some experts have another idea.

  Your question isn't described very well.

  Do you mean the touchpad or the cursor?
  The laptop's touchpad supports the (multi-touch) gesture control feature, and this feature could be configured in the settings of the touchpad:
  + Control Panel-> mouse-> device-> settings settings tab.

  You will also find the option called shots of edge which opens the charms, app Switcher bar and toolbar Application simply by moving your finger between the edge of the touchpad to the centre.

  In this case the cursor is not visible.

  I had to format my Satellite 1410 303, and then I added also 256 MB of RAM so the total is now 512 MB.   I guess you wanted to ask how to solve the problem. If then all in Safe Mode you can use system restore to set up Windows to a point when the problem did not exist.

  It very probably has some damaged pixels of the screen. Something like this should not "spread" on the screen, so if it not bother you that much, it should be OK to leave it for now.

  If you are embarrassed by it (or for some strange reason, it's even worse), I would say on a date in an Apple Store for them to have a look for you booking. They will be able to get it repaired if necessary.

The funcitons still mobile but I have these lines always start the toshiba XP loading screen system, so I know it will be a hardware problem. I have attached an external monitor to confirm that this is not a screen problem.

  Sometimes I turn on the laptop and the screen will be fine and loaded drivers, but that only lasts for about 2 minutes then XP lock ip, blue screens and reboots. Then once it to load with the dirver does everything wrong.

  I took the flat laptop cleaned and looked for something sensitive which could be causing it? I have not changed or verified the memory of the laptop, if it's an idea to do?

  This really looks like to me a graphics card failure. What do you think?
  Have you tried recovery of the operating system with the recovery CD Toshiba delivered? If this is not the case, try to install the OS from CD. Then you can be sure that the issue is not relegated to a malfunction of the software (driver) to 100%.

  But generally, I don t think you can fix it yourself. I m not sure if the graphics card may be withdrawn or entire motherboard but if it s a bad hardware work if the part needs to be replaced.
  If you have no significant experience in the laptop repair, then you should ask a technician for help.

• Outlook express 6, when I open an email it opens up far to the right of the screen, the page is barely visible

  When I click on an email to open it completely, it opens but moves all the way to the right of the screen, I can barely see a far bit of the page.

  The only way I can use, I have found is to right click on the little blue band on the top and select "expand", which restores the page entirely opn, fron and Center.  I can't find a way to have the page opens correctly.  I can't catch it and re - position, I can't find a setting to change in 'Options '.

  The same thing happens when I try to "reply" to an e-mail.

  If you are not able to grasp the window, try the following.

  Right-click on the tab of the window in the task bar and select move. Now, use the arrow keys to get to the screen. Close all other windows except this one and use the cursor to drag the message to the desired size. Close it and Windows will remember the size and location when you open it again.
