  My C660 is 2 weeks old and the webcam has suddenly stopped working, the window where the image of the camera should show has been replaced by a picture of a flower.
  Facial recognition was working fine until today, but it has also stopped working. I checked all the settings and everything to my (admittedly limited) knowledge seems to be as it should.
  I tried a system restore, and it made no difference.

• Wireless on Satellite C660d-14W after clean instalation of Win 7

  I bought a toshiba satellite c660d-14w off the coast of a friend and reinstalled a fresh copy of windows 7 x 64.
  After installation, the laptop does not recognize any material (graphics, wireless network card, sound) so I slowly tried to install all the drivers for all.

  However, no matter what I install for the wireless, it just doesn't seem to work.
  Installed the driver from realtek RTL8188CE, driver lan wireless on Toshiba website and have set the network connections service car and restarted it and still nothing.

  In the Manager of peripheral devices, network cards, I have two entries:

  Realtek PCIe FE Family Controller
  &
  Realtek RTL8188CE WLAN 802.11n PCI-E NIC

  Suffice to say that they are working properly and have the latest drivers but I have no wireless access, does not display the icon in the status bar, and I just get a generic windows error message when you try to configure it manually.

  Things I've tried so far:

  1x1GB + 1x2Go originally had Samsung RAM in it, if both are in, there is no image on the screen. If I take the 2 GB of RAM, go as far as the BSOD. (Tested with 1 GB or 2 GB sticks)

  It does not start in the original system, neither do a startup repair, recovery etc.. It will not install a new copy of Windows 7 either, it will go to BSOD as soon as Windows 7 animation would begin to appear.

  Rams reinstall, replaced. tested in another laptop, they are all very good. Same thing with a second HDD.

  BIOS has been updated to 1.30 1.10 which is the most recent version of this model, no luck. BIOS also on the default settings.

  Windows XP SP3 can be installed, however, it's how I updated the BIOS.

  It may be also not that Windows Installer disk, which is also excluded.

  Any suggestions?

  This means that work for laptop using that one module into the first slot of memory?

  In this case, the problem could be:
  (1) the modules are not compatible with each other.
  (2) one of the memory slots is defective.

  I'm so stupid with this stuff so please make all responses for a 3 year old can understand.

  The problem - since a few years, I used a desktop computer and connected to the internet via modem wide empty tape and USB connection. Last week bought a Satellite C660D installed Windows 7 os provided and tried to connect with my modem, but failed miserably.

  I get the error message 651 but do not understand why.
  I use wired ethernet (because my friend does on their laptop) and tried the cable on their system, and it worked very well, so I don't think it's that.

  I replaced unacceptable Windows 8 on Pavilion G6 computer 2210uS laptop with Windows 7 (64-bit). PROBLEM - I can not adjust the intensity of the backlight display (Fn keys assigned to the change of backlight do not work, they worked in Windows 8). The screen backlight is still full intensity. HP Driver web page does not include some drivers and applications for this laptop, however, I was able to locate the missing drivers on the web sites of chipset of the seller, so the Device Manager shows all devices running and the machine works otherwise OK.
