Satellite C660D-155: no admin rights

Hi, so I got the C660D - 155 Mobile Satellite for my birthday 04/09/1993.
I turned on, let him do his own thing to install windows 7, registered user and the laptop as usual.

There where no problem at all at the beginning!
Then my audio driver suddenly decides to withdraw all of my computer (I think it was after a windows update).

To make things worse, my firewall is disabled and I discovered that * I'm stuck in anything that requires administrator rights.*
I can't reinstall my audio driver and I can't turn my firewall.
I read that it might be malware/Virus/Spyware related? Is it still possible? I have PC Tools Spyware Doc installed and updated to the latest software.

I tried the Ctrl + Alt + Delete to the main screen to try to log on as an administrator and it does not work...
Why am I not administrator? Who is?

Any help?

Thank you

Hello

I m not very well what you did with the laptop or the system, but maybe you should just try to reinstall it again using HARD drive recovery.
If it s a new computer laptop, so it shouldn't be a problem.
Switch on the device, press F8, and then select Repair my computer, then choose disk HARD recovery.

Configure the operating system once more and check if you have full control.

I put t know how this works with Panasonic TV but I put t think it has something to do with the CPU inside. I think that the important thing is the way how it works. There is nothing else than the Viera networking. Much check you how this works exactly and what needs to be done to make it work properly.

You need maybe to install additional software on the laptop Satellite and use it as a database server.

  • Battery problem Satellite C660D-155

    Battery suddenly stopped charging.
Laptop works with the power cable is plugged.
The battery symbol, said "4% available (plugged - do not load).
Tried a different power cable to another Satellite, same problem.

How will I know if the problem is the battery or laptop?

    Thank you, Ruth

    > How can I tell if the problem is the battery or laptop?

To test this, you will need a good new battery tested :(

But in many cases, the battery must be charged before that this occurs if the laptop would not longer if there is a case, then plug the power adapter to allow the ERP system the battery. I read that these preload process can take up to 3 hours.
Once this process is complete the laptop should automatically start the normal charging process.

  • Satellite C660D-155 - Windows 7 does not open

I can't the laptop to open, as I get an error message that a USB or storage device is removed while the laptop was still running. It seems that an Internet Dongle is removed before closing. I get a message error 0xc00000e9 IO. The system suggests to repair the system, or start normally, but each of them I want back me to this same error report.

I contacted the Technical Support & they gave me good info, but suggest that I make a back-up or save first! I don't know how I can do this, because I can't open the system to create a backup copy.
I can't find my original recovery disk, but I have a few backups that I created a few months ago.
Can anyone suggest how to move on, because I don't want to lose all the files on my system.

    Thanks in advance

When you start a laptop try using the F8 key and enter the advanced startup options.
    It work?
Figure option fix my computer in the list? By using this option, it would be possible to enter in the system recovery options.

Try to start in safe mode Notepad.

  • Impossible to activate my NETWORK card on my new Satellite C660D - 10M

    HY

My laptop (Toshiba Satellite C660D - 10M) supplied with Free-DOS. I installed WIndows 7 and all the necessary drivers from Toshiba Web site except the driver for my network card. I can't go to the Internet because of this!

    From this page: http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp?service=EU

    I get the correct information:

    Laptop - Satellite - Satellite C - C660D - PSC0WE series - Windows 7 32 bit.

    (A) it has no CHIPSET driver for my laptop here? But I think they are merged with the DISPLAY DRIVER and I could install their own.
    (B) DRIVER LAN - after installing this driver in my DEVICE MANAGER-> network controller has an exclamation mark and is not installed.

    Check the BIOS - enabled.

Uninstalled, found my specific NETWORK card driver from realtek website. Realtek RTL8139/810 X Family Fast Ethernet. -> Installed the driver for win7, - NOTHING!

I don't know what to do next?

    Please can you help me?

You're right about driver chipset. By AMD based laptops it is integrated with the display driver.

The same LAN card has Satellite C660D PSC0UE so the right Win7 32 bit LAN driver you can find HERE. He has to work. All available drivers are put to the test.
    Please test and send feedback.

    Have you installed driver WLAN?
Make sure that the unknown device in Device Manager list is certainly related to LAN and WLAN not the card.

    Hello

How about you, removing the controllers and ports/hubs USB in Device Manager?
    Have you tried that?

In the Device Manager expand USB controllers and remove all devices available here.
In addition, you must restart the laptop in order to ensure that all USB devices would be recognized again.
I had some problems with the USB ports also and this method helped!

  • Satellite C660D-10W - 02 wireless broadband does not connect

    Hello.

    I bought a new computer toshiba laptop, its called a Satellite C660D series Satellite C660D - 10W.
Then I installed the modem 02 top wireless broadband.
He showed a shortcut for 02broadband on the left side of the desktop.
So far everything was going perfectly.

But... then when I double click on the shortcut of 02broadband, 02broadband logo comes as usual, he shows his support for about 30 seconds, but then it says that it cannot detect or unable to connect! I disconnected and then reconnected to broad band several times, but it just keeps saying the same thing.
There are 3 other laptops in the House and the 02 broadband installed and immediately connected on each of them.

One of the laptops was just bought 2 hours ago and it installed and connected to broadband right now.
This laptop from toshibsa is the only one the 02broadband connects not with, but it installs perfectly down to it.
Its very weird and makes me absolutely nuts.

Is there anyone else that happened and could it please help?

    Thank you

    Hello

There is no module 3G inside the Satellite C660D-10W.
Did you find the 3G module in Device Manager?
I guess that you will not find everything and that's why you cannot use the software installed

This is the reason why it does not work

  • Satellite C660D-124 cannot display Web pages, but connected to the internet

    Hi all

This is my first post and I hope someone can advise me.
    I have a Satellite C660D-124. running win 7.

I have a netgear router on my pc and the laptop is connected to my home network.
I'm hosting wifi using the mac address of the laptop to access control on the router.
I turned it on and off the power, but nothing helped.

When I click on the wifi down icon to the right it says that I'm connected to the network.
When I select the network connection, it says excellent signal.

When I open google I get a white screen saying loading tool bar, but it never loads.
If I plug in an Ethernet cable, nothing happens.
I run AVG Security, I tried to disable the firewall and nothing happened.

So basicially my laptop says I'm connected but... I am not connected. !!

    all responses appreciated

If I understand you right you have the same problem using a LAN and WLAN connectivity. Is this good?

If so, I think that there is a problem with your router. Reboot the router and check all the settings there.

In the worst cases it set to the factory settings and basic stuff just for the Internet without playing with other settings there.

Did you maybe test it connect your laptop to another router?

  • Satellite C660D - BIOS flash failed

I've updated the Toshiba Satellite C660D-16th (PSC20E) with BIOS version 1.60 and it updated without error. BIOS version file is DELHI10AB_10ABG_BIOS_160_WIN. When it restarts, it was empty and brick screen. I tried to find more old bios for this laptop and use wincrisis to retrieve the bios. It meets the outfit that keys FN + B while poweron without batrtery and USB drive LED flashes for a while but that is it :/

    Any ideas?

The package of v1.60 - winner of the BIOS can be downloaded here:
    http://Support1.toshiba-tro.de/Tedd-...0601184846.zip

    Unzip the package.
Then you will find the file: DELHI10AB_10ABG_BIOS_160_WIN.exe
This exe file is also a zipped package.
Right click on the exe file and select Extract here.
In the DELHI10AB_10ABG_BIOS_160_WIN folder, you will find the bios.rom and ec.rom

But I'm not sure if you Flash the BIOS once more to resolve your problem... maybe EPROM module is affected.

  • Update disk on Satellite C660D

    Hi all

    I'm new to this forum,
I would like to upgrade my hard drive but I don't know what to choose.
Nothing too fancy, I would like to know how to find the right one.
Is there a way that tells you that compatible, as it is for the RAM?

    Help, please
    Thank you in advance.
Toshiba satellite c660d pscole... hope this helps

As much as I know that is not a HDD compatibility list, but to find that good drive HARD should not be problematic. Question is: what is the reason for Exchange of HARD drive or upgrade?

You need more capacity, or you want to use the faster HARD drive and increase the performance of s for laptop?
Maybe you should think about SSD. For some basic info, check it please http://storage.toshiba.eu/cms/en/index.html

  • Satellite C660D-1GD: no Red Cross and its speaker

Just turned on my laptop, Satellite C660D - 1GD and my sound does not work.

There is a red x on the speaker and the diagnosis did not help at all.
Tried a system restore, nothing - no change at all. Tried to go through the system drivers and there is no driver for the sound: o. OK, came on this site, downloaded the correct driver installed and restarted and nothing again: s.

Update the BIOS and then in and checked the BIOS and even checked for its simple to have just lost time. Any help would be great.

    Thanks in advance.

    _Firstly: _
Have you checked whether mute isn't activated?

Press FN + ESC to turn on or off the mute

    _Secondly: _
Go to control panel of-> sound-> the Read tab

Check if the devices on the reading tab are enabled and defined as default device
In addition, right click to make sure the options are marked as; view hidden devices, see the disabled devices

    _Thirdly: _
    The sound card is Realtek.
So you can download the Realtek HD audio driver from the Realtek driver page
Before installing the new driver, uninstall the driver Realtek installed from Control Panel-> programs & features

  • Satellite C660D - 1 GR - bad video resolution

    Hello

I just bought a laptop Toshiba Satellite C660D - 1 GR last week:
    Windows 7 Home Premium
APU AMD E-300 with graphics Radeon (tm) HD 1.30 GHZ
    Graphics AMD Radeon HD 6310
    Date 28/06/2011 driver
    8.863.0.0 driver version
    64-bit operating system
    Resolution of the screen 1366 x 768

My old HP laptop has broken up, and I needed a laptop to practice my driver licence theory tests and danger (videos)
I also regularly watches tv dvdrip shows.

The only thing I realized immediately the very bad quality of the video resolution, I look at the exact same videos that my old computer, I can not even see the pixels...
On some of the dangers pilots, I can't even recognize the video details.

That's what I tried with no results
I tried to download the latest version of Directx
I tried other video players, VLC, Media Player
I tried to update the video driver
I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the video driver

    Unfortunately, this did not help

do you have any idea what I need to do now?

    Thank you

    > do you have any idea what I need to do now?
Good question but not easy to give you the right answer. Of course, you do the comparison between old and new notebook.
Out of curiosity but two books have identical display with a native resolution of same?
If yes then I understand your question, but if not, I really don't know what to say on this subject.

Put the original DVD movie or start a few videos YouTube HD and you will see that the video resolution will be perfect.
I'm scared of m this software you use s old and designed for PCs/Noteboks with old standard resolution of 1024 x 768.
