  • Laptop will not switch to the AMD Radeon graphics card

Hello.  I just bought a Dell Latitude 3540 on 10/01/13 (yesterday) and everything but the graphics go a lot.  Whenever I check the graphics that are used, it says "Intel HD Graphics 4400" instead of 'AMD Radeon HD 8850 M' as it should be.  I installed the Catalyst driver and software and plugged in, but also put everything for maximum performance in the config of switch graphics.  I EVEN USED PC RESET.  NOTHING WORKS.  Help, please.

    Hello

What is the version of the Catalyst driver and software you use?

The option to switch between graphics depends on the version of the installed Catalyst driver. I suggest you follow the article given below for further assistance.

  • Support for Intel Iris 6100 graphics card

Hi, I was wondering if Mercury playback engine and other GPU functions would be supported by this map:

    Intel Iris 6100 graphics card

The card is part of a laptop with Intel Core i7-5557U CPU processor.

I know it is not officially on the list of GPUS supported, but the Iris Graphics 5100 is listed under "Windows OpenCL' support.

If it was to work with the support of the OpenCL, which would still be much less efficient than using a card GeForce with CUDA? I am currently using a GeFOrce GT 630 M.

    Any advice much appreciated!

Finally, I saw, he had problems with the graphics card intel and software adobe. If this has changed, perhaps someone chime and correct me.

I suggest getting a more powerful processor and chart than the laptop i7-5557U you are looking at. a core i7-47xxxx or 67xxxx-i7 with gtx 965 4 m will be much faster. something with 16 GB of memory and perhaps fall in love 3 and/or usb 3.1 gen 2 (10/gb). Some will have a ssd, a few steps, you can also look in 3.1 usb samsung ssd of t1 or t3 or add your own in-house if the laptop supports upgrades. some of these laptops will start around $1 k, to near $1. 5 k with more features.

  • Satellite L50-B-23f - switching between Intel and ATI GPU

    Hello

Bought this laptop a week ago and I must say that I am very happy with it, but I would change the graphical display of 5500 to Intel(r) HD Graphics integrated with that of the AMD Radeon R7 M260.

I brought by the device manager that makes two graphics cards are enabled and working properly. I also watched the AMD Catalyst Control Center, but I still can't understand how to accomplish the transition to AMD graphics display.

I would be very grateful if someone could point me in the right direction in order to complete the process of switching.

    Thank you very much

    Hello

The GPU from Intel is a part of the CPU and will be used to secure the power.
It will be used in case the graphics software requirements are low.

Of course it can be changed manually.
You can assign the application that needs to use the ATI GPU.

To switch to the external GPU, right click on the desktop
In Catalyst Control Center Power, click on select Maximum Performance when it is plugged

Then in global settings of Switchable Graphics also choose maximize Performance

Then click on the switchable graphics Application settings
Now, you would be able to add an app (game) that could use this graphics card settings
Simply tap the exe of the game and add to the list of applications.
After that, you will see the exe file in the list. Click the graphics settings and set it to high performance.

But beware: best performance GPU produces more heat, which leads to a higher internal temperature.

I have a Mobile Intel (r) 4 series express chipset family graphics card, and the driver is dated 06/12/2008.
my sound card is realtek audio and is dated 11/02/2006.

    Hello trouble

Please remember you have laptop and not of office. What you have done is just and it will help with the office, but on laptops, the situation is very different.
Graphics card is suitable for the use of the laptop by Toshiba and downloaded driver from the manufacturer of the graphics card can not be installed.

As you know probably common problem with laptops is heat and temperature of the material must be controlled. Graphics card too high temperature can ends with overheating and book cut or damage the equipment. Toshiba laptop to protect material must ensure on the pilots and don t allow to run on the limit.

I must also say that your laptop is not game machine.

    Hello

The Intel graphics card is simply not powerful enough to handle the latest PC games.
You think so, why all the hardcore gamer don t buy computers laptops, but during the CPU clock and buy new graphics for PC s Office cards?

The laptop is not comparable with the desktop PC. It's just different technology according to the limitations of hardware upgrade on your laptop, you can spend only the HARD drive and RAM.
You cannot add also all other ports for laptop. It is not possible :(

  • Satellite L300 - 1 5 - I want to upgrade the graphics card

    Hello

I was wondering if anyone could tell me if the Satellite L300 - 1 5 (short model: PSLB8E) has an MXM slot?

I want to try to improve the graphics capabilities of it.

Now, I know that the upgrade of the integrated graphics card is impossible, but I read somewhere that nVidia and a selection of manufacturers have worked on getting MXM in laptops supported features PCI Express and Toshiba have been listed as working with them. I have the Intel GMA 4500 M and its obviously not built for the games and I really want to play Modern Warfare 2, but cannot guarantee of forking out for a new laptop just for 1 game

Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks

    Hey Buddy,

I think that an upgrade isn't possible. The graphics card is soldered/fixed on the motherboard and this means that you can t change it. Here you can find more information about this:
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/KB0/TSB9401AX0001R01.htm

I can understand you but Satellite L300 isn't designed for games. I use my Satellite L300 for Internet and office and for games, I bought Qosmio F50. :)

    Hello people,

A few weeks ago my, unfortunately 2 years and 2 months old, Toshiba Satellite A100-02 b surrenders completely.
The graphics card (I hope its called like that in English) and the display crashed...

My question now is: is it possible to get a new card?
I can't find a fitting Geforce GO 7600 grafic cards...
    That's why I'm asking here:

where can I buy such a grafic card - or: is there another (better) available grafic card which correspond to this laptop?

I hope you people can help me with my disaster :(

    your welcome
    Germany :) Cornell

    Hi mate.

Unfortunately, you can not replace the graphics card.
If the graphics card is dead, then the whole motherboard must be replaced.

It s is no more possible to upgrade the GPU chip. It s simply welded on the map and there is no chance to remove it.

If you are sure that your graphics card is dead, then you'll need for the new motherboard which is not good cheap 100%

Hi, I use a computer hp laptop G62 b51SI with a processor intel hd graphics card. However, thinking about changing or supplementing with a graphics card ATI Radeon for gamiing increased performance. Is it possible to do?

    Hello:

It is not possible without having to replace the motherboard together.

There is no removable graphics 'cards' in your laptop.  The GPU is soldered to the motherboard.

You will need to find a mother supported listed in the service manual for your model is equipped with better graphics and then try to find out where you can purchase a because it is unlikely that HP has more of them.

  • New update of CC 2015 detects no not my 750 M GPU GeForce graphics card

Today I updated photoshop CC (2015.1.1 20151209.r.327). But now, photoshop does not detect my GeForce 750 m graphics card. I am running Windows 8.1.

I've updated all the drivers and I put photoshop to run with gpu nvidia in the nvidia Control Panel since I also graphics card Intel HD installed, which I also stopped through control panels > Device Manager.

Now when I run photoshop and go to Preferences > performance I can't select the option to use the GPU and he says: 'no option available for standard photoshop GPU', when I go, he said: «Photoshop has detected the error in the display driver, reinstalling the driver...» »

I also tried to downgrade the display drivers, whith the same result... However before this update to photoshop, the drivers worked fine.

When I go to my Intel HD graphics in the nVidia control panel, I see that this adapter is enabled in Photoshop in Preferences > performance and works very well.

However, I can't use my nVidia GPU... I think I tried everything... the problem occurred with the last update.

Please, help me. I'd be happy for any suggestion.

    Thank you.

I solved the problem to add sniffer.exe and photoshop.exe in NVidia Panel, as an application for discrete gpu. Only Photoshop.exe was not enough.
