  Can someone please provide me with an older version of bios for my laptop (L30-113 a.k.a PSL33E).
  Now I recently upgarded to version 3.10 of the toshiba site and now my laptop seems to generate a lot more heat than before. Also some of my USB ports stopped working properly. The version that I was before was 3.00 I think or something like that.

  As far as I know isn t possible downgrade BIOS. You can download the new versions on the site of Toshiba but decommissioning, we must move to an authorized service provider. Technicians can downgrade the BIOS.

• Satellite Pro 4340: How to get older versions of BIOS?

  I have a Satellite Pro 4340 and I recently updated the BIOS from v2.6 to v2.7 unfortunately since then randomly, the laptop freezes and requires a reset. Check the error log indicates a fault in which case the ACPI BIOS is written in an unauthorized area. I would now go back to BIOS version 2.6, however the support from Toshiba site only lists the current BIOS v2.7 and not the older versions. How can I get the old version? Anyone here happen to have a backup?

  Unfortunately, to my knowledge, you will find only the most recent update of the BIOS on Toshiba page.
  I don't think that the authorized service provider is able to downgrade the BIOS to the original version

  I have this problem, and its little weird laptop me... was on so the warranty repair and they sad they replaced the fan and it's fixed but notting...

  then, when I turn on the laptop, fan does not work, then work slow on normal use, but, when I open all game, fan is done at high speed and slows down quickly, all the time while I play, and when I leave the game fan turns on, and is not slaughter until I have disable laptop, even in normal restart Active stays... Please help

  Fan activity depends on its portable use of my knowledge and everything is controlled by the fan which is stored in the BIOS table.
  The fan table contains information how the cooling module must operate in different situations.

  While gaming, the CPU and the GPU produce more heat and this need to be cooled. The cooling fan must spin faster.
  But I m wondering why the fan does not operate more slowly after the game has been closed.

  However, I recommend to unplug the AC adapter and remove the battery to hold down the power button (30 sec would be good enough)
  Then turn on the device, access the BIOS and set it to default, save the changes and restart the laptop.

  More I recommend you to check the windows power plan settings.
  In Settings Advanced it of possible to change the mode of cooling and the max CPU performance.

  First of all: update BIOS doesn t help you.
  Why do you think that BIOS update should help reduce the activity of fan?

  I guess that your new processor is faster. Right?
  So it offers more performance and this leads to higher heat dissipation... so finally the CPU must be cooled and this can be done only if the cooling module would turn faster you agree with me?

  By the way: the update of the BIOS is on the page of the Toshiba UE driver. Since the satellite Pro A120 is very old series, you will need to search for drivers in area Archive (Type of product-> Archive)

  I bought a TOSHIBA Satellite C855-2CF *(PSKCAE-09K006HU).
  There's no OS installed previously. I want to install a Win 7, but so far without success.

  I found that some subjects, who said I should do in the BIOS and switch to the CMS UEFI boot, and another which said I have to disable secure boot, but I can't find these options in the BIOS.

  Where can I find them? Or is there something I should do more / before I access the BIOS?

  Satellite C855 1QE belongs to the PSCBYE series and in General, you can use all motherboards that have been released for Satellite C855 PSCBYE models

  Also Toshiba pulled C855 Satellite in different regions... for example motherboards for Satellite C855 PSCBYU (last letter U means USA) or Satellite C855 PSCBYA (an Australian way) would be compatible also.

  No, the BIOS don't go back to the previous version. The Toshiba Recovery disk contains factory settings of software on your laptop and not the BIOS. The BIOS has nothing to do with the software on your laptop.

  So Don t worry, the recovery disk doesn t touch the BIOS and you still have the new version.

• Satellite A100-178: I can reinstall the older version of Bios?

  I updated my Bios as it was available (5.10). The update went well and I had no problem for it. Since then, I started to get a daily error messsage on digital USB card from Pinnacle. The error is something about the limitations of outdated peak current. The card still works OK after that I have reinstall. I would like to try it with the old version of the Bios and see if that also produced the error, but that is downloadable somewhere?

  I noticed the update made a program to copy backup, but where? I also tried to run the update process twice, so it may be that the backup copy has been crushed with the new version anyway.

  With your laptop you can do what you want, but if I were you I won't play with BIOS if not necessary. I hope that you know very well that if you make a mistake, you can destroy the BIOS chip and in this case you have big problem because the repair will be very, very expensive.

  I'm sure that the BIOS updates are tested before you can download them and are perhaps better to look for other solutions as described in the previous announcement.

  It gets only detected in BIOS 1 on 30 times at the start (after which it runs great).
  If 'the SATA Interface setting' patches 'Autonomy' the problem of detection, at the cost of a reduction in the speed of the 4.5 factor.
