Satellite C870 - I damaged the audio input jack - where to get a new?

It seemed to me have damaged the audio jack on my laptop, does anyone know where I can get a replacement for it and advise me if it is easier to replace, or to find someone to replace it for me

I don't very well if you want to be able to get these parts separately m.
To my knowledge, the headphone and microphone are part of the motherboard and are soldered to the motherboard.

However, all compatible parts can be ordered from the maintainer authorized Toshiba in your country.

PS: maybe an alternative would be an option for you: a kind of card like USB 2.0 to 3.5 mm Jack Audio / microphone

  • Challenges of the audio input jack (seems not work)

    Hello

    I use an HP Envy 15-j030eb, running Windows 8.1 x 64.

Recently, I need to use my laptop audio input jack to connect my speakers, but I don't get all the sounds. I tried to connect two different types of headphones, with no audio to come through. I don't remember really when I finally used, but I'm sure it worked at some point.

Otherwise it is inserted into the Jack, I get his normal good through the internal speakers, connect a TV via HDMI also works very well.

I tried most of the solutions I could find online (definition of default playback device, change the bass and treble levels, do a hard reset, reinstall the drivers...), but nothing helped. Start Notepad from a live USB Ubuntu USB also translates the same behavior; play music while my works of great internal speakers connection helmet muffles all. This leads me to believe that it is not a Windows/driver issue, but a bios/firmware/hardware one.

Run HP (from usb boot) and the test of speaker adio also doesn't send audio signal to my helmet and gives a failure code: gll3kv-6nm782-mfgjxg-20ek03. I could not decypher this identifier.

Any suggestions on how to proceed and get my audio jack working again please?

    Kind regards

    Hi @klmdb

Welcome to the HP Support Forums, I hope you enjoy your experience! To help you get the most out of the Forums of HP, I would like to draw your attention to the Guide of the Forums HP first time here? Learn how to publish and more.

I saw your post about the problems with your audio jack. I looked in that identification code of the failure that you have posted and there is an audio hardware failure which could be a couple of different things, but from what you describe, it's the audio jack that has failed.  The audio jack is not a replaceable part, you will need to seek to replace the motherboard or card mother.

  • Why can I not get no response from the audio input jack? have you tried 4 different microphones in Final Cut Pro

I have started working on FInal Cut Pro and have discovered that my audio Jack does not recognize any microphone that I plug.  I tried 4 different microphones up to now.   The input Attenuator is turned up 50% and beyond with no effect.   The entry just says "Audio" preferences pane: "Line input" with no other available device.  Am I missing something here?   He is 4 years old and this is the first time I tried audio input.

The line-in input on a Mac requires an entry amplified, not a single entry.

The headphone includes a contact mic. See:

  • iPhone 7 lightning to the questions of the audio input jack

I often connect my phone to listen to music on stereo systems for listening to music out loud. When I used to do with my 6s, I had no problem with the sound output. Since switching to the iPhone 7 that I need to use the adapter to play music, but when I do this the sound is very distorted and sometimes if you put the volume a bit higher up the music stops. Even with a lower volume, it is still quite distorted. When I use a headset with the adapter and plug the phone into my car is fine no problem and sounds. It is only when I play music on the radio.

I talked to Apple support and they were not really able to diagnose the problem or give me a solution.

I was wondering if anyone else has problems with the lightning to the audio jack connector or something similar? and everyone is aware of any other superior quality adapters, you can buy or if there is a fix by apple to do deal with this?

I don't have the problems you describe at all.

To the extent where a 'solution' by Apple, not sure there is any 'broken' to fix.  Anyway, we are users here on this forum, we would have no idea what Apple would do.  Speculation is prohibited by the terms of use of this forum.

  • my headphones (or headsets) does more work when plugged into the audio input jack

I have a 2010 27-in. iMAC.   I am running Yosemite 10.10.5.   Recently I can't get audio on the audio jack that I always used with my helmet.  Have tried the other sons of contact as well as the apple earbuds.  Audio is great internal speakers.

When you plug your earphones sound still come through the internal speakers?

When you plug in your headphones, you see those as an option in preferences-> sound-> release system?

  • No sound when the headset is plugged into the audio input jack

When I plugged headphones into the audio jack, there is no sound.  The noise comes from the internal speakers.  I just installed System Mechanic and ran a system of analysis.  I don't know if the registry has been changed or what.  It is not a problem with the headphones; I tried another helmet and have the same problem.  The phone detects the headset, an icon in the Notifications area saying that a device has been connected.

Yes, I checked to make sure it wasn't the atria. I used 2 different pairs, each of the works fine on my other computer.

My laptop has been recently upgraded to Windows 8.1. Since then, the audio Jack was my ear has been detected. This has not happened before.

Also, I know there are a lot of laptops with 'Inspiron 15', but I don't know exactly which one it is. If you could tell me how to find it, I'll do.

If you want to try the native audio driver, the instructions are through this link above. If you want to see if it is better to have a driver directly from Realtek:

In the column named "Download", click one of the server names to download the driver.

The current version on the Realtek site is R2.75. Don't know how that one differs from Dell.

    b. scroll and select Realtek HD Audio Manager.
    c. click the icon for folder just above and to the right where it says analog panel back and just below the device's advanced settings.

    Method 2:
If the problem persists, I suggest you to set the headphone or speaker that you connect as a default value, and check if it helps.

    (a) right click on the volume icon in the system tray and then click on "recording devices".

    (b) right click on the space empty in the window pop up and then select "Show disabled devices" and "Show disconnected devices".

    (c) right click on the headset and then click on 'Activate'.

    (d) (d) mettre put out the microphone, then choose "set as default device".

  • Satellite A100-TA9: failure of the power supply cord - where to get a new

Recently my power cord has stopped working on my Satellite A100-TA9 system.
My system warranty has expired and passes through 'Authorized support vendors' Toshiba was useless.

Anyone know where I can get a replacement power cord?
    I live in Toronto, Canada.

    Thank you

    Hello

    > My system warranty has expired and passes through 'Authorized support vendors' Toshiba was useless
    I n think so.

First of all, you know that a disassembly of the laptop is very delicate and not easy. ASP technicians have sufficient experience to perform this replacement with touch course. I mean you have no risk something would be accidentally damaged during disassembly procedure.

Second, you must contact the local ASP to get a compatible power cord.
I think you'd need a power cord which has been designed especially for the A100 series.
Guys could order directly from Toshiba.

    See you soon

  • 550-215na Pavilion: no sound from the rear audio input jack

    Hello

I recently bought a new PC and I immediately ran into an audio problem that I can't understand. I get no sound at all from the rear audio input jack. I'm getting sound before making, and the plug rear mic works. When I plug something into the rear socket, a message appears grateful that there is something. When I checked the sound settings while it is plugged into the rear outlet, the equalizer is moving, which indicates that he gets his. But nothing comes out when I plug headphones or speakers in. I can exclude a fault with the speakers and the headphones, because they work very well to come forward. All the drivers are up to date.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Hi there @PrimoFigs,

I hope you find your experience of positive Support Forum! It's a good place to find the help you need, other users, the HP experts and other members of the support staff. I understand that you get no sound from your speakers when connected to the rear audio ports. I'm happy to give you a helping hand with this.

Have you tried to connect another device to this port, whether it of a different set of speakers or earphones, headphones just to test if one of them works?

What it is connected to the front port at the same time? If so, then disconnect this device and try again the rear port and let me know if there is a change.

Also try this: desktop HP-no sound on speakers (Windows 8).

Please let me know if any of the work of tip for you suggestions and if we don't solve your problem, please mark this message as a solution. Bravo would be appreciated as well.

  • Using the headphone jack to the Audio input

Try to use my 4 GB Fuze to connect to the external audio device.  Using the standard FUZE audio output (headphone) to connect to the audio inputs, Radio BOSE or compatible stereo or home.  When connected to the input on my Bose Compatible radio, apparently not having enough power to perform this task.  "Click, click, etc."  Darn Ipod seems to be fine in this config.  Any thoughts there?  I'm sure that this is relevant for many.  Might does not seem to find a good thread about it.

    Thank you.

Yes, the sensitivity varies depending on the computer, set of accessories speakers speakers, FM modulator, car audio, and so on.  The variable volume of the headphone level can come handy.

The 30-pin is also variable output can be very useful, as configured in the "rocket".  The Griffin dock works fine, as long as you have 5v power supplied to the USB cable.  This output is too strong.
