Satellite L10-270 - error Power Saver, utility

I have a Toshiba Satellite L10-270 and because no standby power utility has been installed on.

Then I looked for the Toshiba Power Saver, utility and try to install it, but I was unable to make it work. The battery is very low, I really need this software to work.

Sometimes I get a message:

"A fatal error has occurred. The program will end.
"Code: Ox7E.

And sometimes the message:

«Cannot be opened because you do not have access rights to use «Toshiba power saver»»

I hope you can help me, all brands have a power management utility work, I was hoping that it was the same for Toshiba. I hope!

Any solution, a way to run the Toshiba Power Saver or any other software that could replace it.

I have another question, where can I find the phone numbers and e-mail technical support or service after sale?

Thank you.

The energy saving was not preinstalled on this unit because this utility is not supported on this device (Satellite L10-270).
It would be very interesting to know where you found this tool?
I put t I think that this energy saving will not work properly because it was designed for another unit. In this case, you must use the Power Options of Microsoft Windows that you can find in the Panel

In addition if you want to contact technical support please visit this site. You will find detailed information. A / /

Good bye

  • Fatal error Power Save, utility 0 x 51 on Satellite M70

I just joined my M70 to a domain (SBS 2003) and get this message when I connect to the domain.
If I was able to connect to the account of local user on the laptop then it works fine.

If I go into power options in the control panel and select a different power mode then the error disappears but I can't select TOSHIBA Power Save plans in the combo of plans.

    Help, please

    See you soon

Maybe the power saver utility and power saver driver are not installed for all the user accounts on the M70.
Or all user accounts are not allowed to use power saver utility and driver power saver.

On the Toshiba driver page, you will find the Toshiba Power saver utility and the driver of Toshiba power gain.
Both applications must be installed and run together.

    > If I go into power options in the control panel and select a different power mode then the error disappears but I can't select the TOSHIBA Power Save system in the combo of plans.
It is clear. If Toshiba power standby mode will NOT be chosen in the Windows Power Options, then you will not be able to use the Toshiba power saver.

  • Satellite Pro P100-327: Power Saver utility

I have a Toshiba Tecra S1 and Toshiba Satellite M40X and two of them had a utility called 'Save energy' that I found very useful. Windows has its own power plant, but it cannot control things like the brightness of the screen and separates not plugged in battery modes modes as well.

However, the download page here does not list Power Saver for the P100 series and it was not bundled with it, is it not possible to get the energy savings for my new laptop? It would be really nice to be able to use it here. In addition, a gain of power for a different Toshiba laptop would be compatible? If yes which?

    Thank you

The Toshiba Power Saver is installed on the model more Toshiba laptop. On some models the Toshiba Power Saver is not included. Therefore, the Windows power management manage energy consumption.

Obviously the Satellite P100 units with PSPA0E, PSPA3E and PSPA6E description are not delivered with the Toshiba Power Saver utility. Usually it is not recommended to use tools designed for other models of laptops.

Sorry, but I think you have to live with it.

Recently, I have reinstalled my OS XP and now I started to install all the drivers again. LAN has been authorized, WLAN was ok, the display driver has been authorized.

But when I get to install Toshiba Power Saver (URL: []) it gives me this error (it shows the error or after I cliquerai on finish the instalation or before installation began, as you can see in this screenshot)-[]

I later tried this - i go ot Control Panel and open Toshiba Power Saver, but then it gives me another error: "CANNOT be opened because you do not have access rights to use 'TOSHIBA Power Saver'.
I reinstalled my XP again and it still gives me this error... I wonder what could be the problem... Please help me

Satellite L300 - 17L belongs to the PSLBCE series.
I chose this model number and found exactly the same energy saving that you tried to install.
So I guess that you have chosen the right Power Saver utility for this model of laptop.

But did you also install the common Module?
This software must be installed first before installing other tools.

  • Satellite A11-998: fatal error Power Saver - code: 0x7e

    I recently bought a Toshiba Satellite A11-998. I upgraded the operating system of Windows XP MCE to Windows XP Professional. As some of the drivers were not picked up, I was download the latest drivers from the Toshiba site, but when I install the Toshiba Power Saver, utility, I get the following error;

"A fatal error has occurred. The program will end. "Code: 0x7e.

The only option I is 'OK '. When I start the machine and Windows journal, I was invited with the same message, even, when I try and uninstall the energy saver utility. Is it possible to completely remove the utility, or can anyone suggest how to solve the problem. Any suggestions much appreciated.

    See you soon

It seems that there is no general solution for this problem.
I found some comments on the similar problem, and it seems that the Toshiba recovery CD installation will eliminate the error message.

But how did you install the entire operating system? Did you follow the installation instructions on the page of the Toshiba driver?
The order is very important and necessary if you want to install the Toshiba applications on your operating system.
I also discovered that the laptop uses Power saver power saver utility and driver.
I think you need to first install the driver and utility.

But everything should be described in the installation instructions

  • Equium A100-027: Toshiba Power Saver utility

I have a laptop Toshiba Satellite A100-027 and the fan lights up every two minutes after he sat for 15 minutes and it's very annoying.
I was told that I could change the cooling method so that fan is going with less or constant, but I can't seem to run the energy saver utility.

I uninstalled the Value Pack provided with the laptop and along with other programs of Toshiba, but I installed it again on the site but I can't find the Power Saver utility. It is not in the control panel. I see a folder with the files in the program files, but whenever I try and open it, it does not load anything.

    Why is this?
Can I use the Power Saver, utility on the A100-027 or is not compatible or something?
I would think it should work on all laptops from Toshiba.

I can do a cover and try it, but I don't know if it will work or not?
If it works, what is the best option so that the fan is either on a lot less or is permanently at a lower speed?

I'll send the laptop for Toshiba to watch because I hear an audio glitch/cracking/fuzzing when I listen to music and the fan comes on and off and I think it must be some kind of small glitch to fix, but I don't know if they can repair. If they don't fix it, they can it replace?

    Hey Gideon,.

I know it sounds stupid to you, but make an update of the bios, to recover your system and then try to know what powersaver configuration works for you. If you are unable to reach a precise solution for model contact service partner.

Can they please take a look at it.

    Welcome them

What you should try is to reinstall the Toshiba VAP. Latest version, you can find on the download page of Toshiba -

  • Not possible to eliminate the Power Saver Utility of the OS

There are energy saving TOSHIBA began to act up. So I decided I want to reinstall. I downloaded the utility and power of the toshiba download page saver driver. I tried to uninstall the TOSHIBA Power Saver by using Add/Remove Programs, but I get an error:

Error 1316: A network error has occurred trying to read the file C:\WINDOWS\Installer\TOSHIBA Power Saver.msi

I went to see if this file still exists, and it does not work.
Currently, the utility is only half uninstalled, I can't use, but its still in my Add/Remove Programs list.
Could someone tell me what I need to do to properly uninstall the utility?

    Thank you

First of all, if you want to install energy-saving if the driver must be installed in the first step, then the standby electricity utility.

If you cannot remove the standby electricity utility form OS so I guess that there is something wrong in the registry or / and some files are missing to begin the removal process.
In this case, there are not many possibilities.
You can manually remove it form the HARD drive and then remove the power saver entries in the registry.
You can use the regedit command to start recording.
Here, you can use the search option for research inputs to power saver.

But I can't justify it will help again to install energy-saving.

  • Satellite A500 - 17 X: Power Saving Utility was off at the beginning upward

For a while I get a window on the move upward with a boring message saying that the utility of Toshiba power save has been disabled.

    My machine is a Satellite A500 - 17 X.

I would recommend allowing once again.
Utility energy saving Toshiba is part of the VAP (value added package).
Maybe there is something wrong with this package installed so if you want you can try to reinstall this package again.

If not energy saving are in Control Panel-> options-> change the power plan settings.
Check if the Toshiba power save can be activated it

Try to recover your operating system with the recovery CD.
If this problem of still images, I suggest you contact the ASP.
If your laptop is only a month, your warranty will cover all replacements.
But first check if it s something wrong with the operating system.

  • Satellite A100 PSAARE: Toshiba Power Saver + graphics card noise

Is there another URL where I can get a version update of Toshiba Power Saver for my computer drivers laptop Satellite A100 PSAARE other than the home page?

It seems that it is not determinative of CPU fan (he always keep at maximum speed).

Also, I noticed the graphics (GeForce 7600) too loud.

If the monitor is off I can't hear it (just the CPU fan), but as soon as I started working it is audible and as a continuous beep kid.

Is there a (software/hardware) fix for this?

    Kind regards.

The European driver of Toshiba page is one place where you can get the drivers and tools for your European Satellite A100 PSAARE model.
This time it s a v7.03.07.I Power Saver for Windows Vista!

But I must say that I see no problem of software on your laptop.
Cooling modules and fans have to run with higher performance to make sure that your hardware components may be cooled properly.

Maybe a cooling module cleaning might help to improve the internal cooling and noise reduction.
From time to time, I clean my fans for laptop using compressed air stream and the fans are running more silent.
