  In your place, I would order a [Recovery disk | https://backupmedia.toshiba.eu/landing.aspx] Toshiba because it is cheaper and contains all the drivers/utilities that get Windows copy disk. I have never ordered from toshiba, but as I know that 2 weeks delivery and about 35 euros. Of course, you can get friends borow windows disk and try to repair or install windows

  Has got 2 x 1 GB DIMMS standard and ordered 2 new 2 GB DIMMS. If I put the 2 new 2 GB DIMMS in I get the BSOD, Memtest also crashes as soon as it starts to test.   I checked the specification of your laptop on the Toshiba page and this L300 - 16L supports only 2 GB. This means that you can only use two modules including 1 GB of capacity.

  To be honest, I have to laugh after reading your posts.
  I wonder what you do with your laptop. You must be the expert to ruin good operating system.

  So, if you didn t created a recovery media and if you don't have option to fix my computer when you start advanced boot options (F8) you can't do anything. Just nothing. HDD recovery is useless because without repair my computer option cannot start the recovery procedure.

  What you can do is to install your own Vista or order the original Toshiba recovery media for your laptop model.
  Do you know how to do this?

  Hmm I doubt that you can solve this problem without going through any system windows disk or recovery disk.
  It seems that the installed OS is messed up and you last chance would be a new installation of the OS on the MS Windows CD or Toshiba recovery disc.

  I doubt that this could be a Vista or CD/DVV drive problem, I think that it s more a problem of compatibility of the disk.

  I recommend that you test some different discs from different manufacturers.
  Some have said here that the TDK discs are fine

  I tried these discs also and never had any problems burning / writing.

  However when I try to use the bluetooyh I can't start. I just get the error message

It finds viruses then prompted me to restart the computer, so I did. Now, I can't load windows at all without getting the blue screen. I can also run it in safe mode. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

  According to the description, it seems that you are getting BSOD error message "c000021a fatal system error '. I'll be happy to help you with this problem.

  This error occurs when a subsystem of mode user, such as WinLogon or the Client Server Run-Time Subsystem (CSRSS), irremediably compromised and security can not be guaranteed. In response, the operating system goes into kernel mode. Microsoft Windows cannot run without WinLogon or CSRSS.

  -Did you do changes on the computer before this problem?

  Method 1:

  Last known good configuration

  It's a Windows startup option that uses the most recent system settings that worked correctly. Whenever you turn your computer off and Windows shuts properly, important system settings are saved in the registry. If a problem occurs, you can restart your computer using these parameters. For example, if a new driver for your video card is at the origin of the problems, or an incorrect registry setting is preventing Windows from starting correctly, you can restart your computer by using the last good known Configuration.
