  Almost every thread here in the forum contains the link and the patch for the European driver page.
  You can find all the drivers!

  Satellite L300-1F8 seems to belong to the PSLBGE series. But check the bottom of the unit. There are some labels containing the number.

  So just choose the L300 PSLBGE and you will get all the necessary drivers!

  Can anyone help please. I have a satellite L300-1AQ

  the problem I have is:

  It was working OK. One day the next it would freeze on the Welcome window.
  The only way I could get it to start was F8 safe mode.
  And then it would freeze once a few minutes done repair my computer and Toshiba HDD recovery now it starts without going into safe mode but it still freezer a few minutes.

  As I see it, * Toshiba Hdd recovery * does not solve your problem. You checked with the other memory, but it always freeze. so, I guess that a hard drive can be a troublemaker. If your laptop is still under warranty, you should contact them (SAV)

  I've been Googling autour for a bit now, looking for a solution to what could be a hardware problem.

  Randomly my Satellite R830 suddenly freezes and the speed of the fan running at full speed. It's actually a useful way to be immediately aware that my computer crashed. Everything is frozen, the only way out is to force via the power button.

  I hit the same description on several Web site for different models of Toshiba, return of 2009. It seems that the problem is still there! I also read testimonials from this problem for Windows and Linux OS. I use a Debian Squeeze, which does not detect the newspaper when the accident occurred.

  Sometimes it can be fine for a week, but recently, the computer freeze at least once a day, which is not acceptable for a new laptop.

  I am really getting concerned if something will be done soon, or if I should ask for an Exchange and pray to be spared. I use my laptop on a daily basis for professional use, and so I would definitely prefer another solution.   1. first of all it of called * AHCI * and not ACHI ;)
  I put t know what you mean with you can t install it but the Intel Storage Manager contains the drivers you need and you have to integrate the drivers during the installation of Windows XP. This means that you must use the external floppy drive or nLite ([www.nliteos.com]). So I think that this Toshiba document could be useful for you:

  As I m wrong not the Satellite L300 - 17L belongs to the PSLBCE.
  You must choose this series to download driver.

  I can find on the European driver Toshiba page all the necessary XP drivers for this series and as much as I know to install the * Modules * common for Win XP get the FN keys feature!

  If please check this and reinstall the common Modules!

  Not sure, but I think that you will not find a previous version of the BIOS on Toshiba download page and so you can ask your ASP if they can return BIOS back to a previous version.

  I have a Satellite L300 - 16L and make me the same problem.

  Has got 2 x 1 GB DIMMS standard and ordered 2 new 2 GB DIMMS. If I put the 2 new 2 GB DIMMS in I get the BSOD, Memtest also crashes as soon as it starts to test. If I place a 1 GB Dimm in the lower slot and a 2 GB in another windows starts fine, if I try to put the 2 in the lower slot and 1 GB in the higher the BSOD that he.

  But if I put either of 2 GB on the lower slot his own windows boots fine, mem test has also allows to test the two GBs 2 individually and said no problem.

  Any ideas anyone? My laptop is supposed to support 4 GB, I'm sure of it.

  I checked the specification of your laptop on the Toshiba page and this L300 - 16L supports only 2 GB. This means that you can only use two modules including 1 GB of capacity.

  Sorry, mate, but you can use t 4 GB. The chipset supports only 2 GB.

  The whole story is really strange to me.
  How do update you the BIOS if you were not able to start the operating system?

  Usually the BIOS can be updated only when running Windows operating system.

  You ask if this could be a problem software or hardware; to be honest I m not quote sure why the laptop beeps but I think you should test this new with OS preinstalled Toshiba. Take the recovery disc (that you created if all goes well before install you Win 7) and installed the Vista again to check if this issue would be displayed.

  In addition, the Win 7 is still a beta version, which means that there is still a lot of bugs that could affect the functionality of the laptop.
