Hey Buddy,

It seems that the BIOS is damaged and it must be reflashed to an authorized service provider. This is a delicate procedure so these tools can t be downloaded and are only available for the FSA. On the Toshiba site, you can find a list of all FSA. Simply contact the closest in the country and ask for help. Guys will help you best possible

    Hi enigmo,.

I can t imagine this happening due to the update of the BIOS. Have you tried to reinstall Windows using the Toshiba Recovery disk?

This BIOS downgrade is possible only to an authorized service. Technicians can install all versions because they have these special tools to do a downgrade.

On the Toshiba site, you can find a list of them. Just give the guy and ask for it. They will help you! :)

  • Satellite L300 (PSLB8E) - after update BIOS no longer start

    Hello..
Please, help me to overcome this problem.

I downloaded the latest BIOS for my Satellite L300 PSLB8E. The previous BIOS was 1.90 but I was facing some nework of error so I thought to upgrade the BIOS can help solve. I have download a new BIOS which is the exe 2.10, its installed successfully, and then shut down, but never started again. I tried to start it several times. I tried all the keys. I don't see a power led and two battery light.

I don't know what to do now. I have a recovery disk but it also does not work. I'm stuck. II had built a bunch of emails to answer that I am lost now.

    Please help me someone.

    Hi dhaval2000in,

Unfortunately, I think the case is clear: something was wrong because the BIOS update and now your laptop can start t more :(

The Toshiba Recovery disk will not help you because it doesn't contain any BIOS programs it contains only an image of recovery of Windows with all the drivers and flashing tools.

In my opinion, please contact an authorized service provider in your country to get rid of it because the guys do reflash ROM. module
I m that you can clarify this issue with the technicians and then you can use your laptop again :)

  • Satellite Pro L300: BSOD after updating BIOS

    Hello

After updating the Bios of the Satellite Pro L300, windows will not start!
His show the blue screen of death!

    What can I do?

    Hello

You are able to access the BIOS settings?
I m not very well why this BSOD appears, but eventually the SATA mode settings have been changed after the BIOS update

Usually the SATA mode must be on AHCI if the SATA drivers are installed.
But if the SATA drivers are not included the SATA mode must be set to compatible.

    Please check this!

In addition, you could set the BIOS default settings and may try to start the computer again.

  • Re: Satellite L300-214 PSLB8E - update Bios broken link

    I had the laptop Toshiba Satellite L300 - 214 PSLB8E.

Since a few days, I checked the Web from Toshiba site against Bios upgrade and found a new bios, finally, the link is broken. He points to http://support1.toshiba-tro.de/tedd-files2/0/bios-20090430112041.zip; I checked http://support1.toshiba-tro.de/tedd-files2/0/ and couldn't find any close file of that date (30/04/09).

    Can someone indicate something?

    Hi mate

I found some similar discussions on the broken links to the BIOS update and I think that there is a server problem I think you should try to download the BIOS in the next few days

  • Satellite A210-199 - after updating BIOS only seeing yellow on

    Hi all, help is needed.

After a BIOS updated with the help of Toshiba TEMPRO laptop Satellite A210-199 stopped working. The updated spent normally, but when it was turned off is more responsible. All this time the yellow indicator Burns power only. In a few minutes a laptop trying overloaded, but has no outside effect and so constantly.

How is it possible to correct?

    Hello

Well, it seems that the BIOS update has failed or something else. Maybe the ROM module must be reflashed by a technician of the laptop.

But you can try this workaround first:
Remove the battery and the AC adapter and wait an hour. Then reconnect both devices and try to start the laptop.

If it doesn t work on the Toshiba site, you can search for nearest authorized maintainer:

  • Satellite A300 - pad touch dead after update BIOS 2.20

    Hello

exact model is Satellite A300 PSAGCA-06M01N under Win XP.

I had a problem with the webcam, and I read in the forum that it can be solved by a BIOS update. so, I advanced and downloaded the latest version of the BIOS on the site of toshiba, especially for my laptop model. It went quite well with no error.

However when the computer restarts after that the BIOS updated my touchpad no longer works.
I went to Device Manager and could still see the Synaptics touchpad device and it says "this device is functioning correctly. but its completely dead and will not respond with the 2 keys. before I updated the BIOS I never had any problems with it.

I tried FN + F9, nothing helps. plugged in a USB mouse and it works without any problem. In fact, when I plugged in the mouse the synaptics software says "Deactivation of the key because of the external pointing device" for the device driver for the touchpad works.

If I remove the mouse, it will say the touchpad is restored, but it still doesn't work. restarted several times and still the same problem. went into BIOS and chose "default" not still a no go.

Can someone offer any advice or ideas please?
I really need the touchpad for the way I use the laptop...

    Hello

In many cases, the touchpad (pointing device) can be enabled and disabled in the BIOS.
I think you should check if this option is available in BIOS and if so, check whether it should be enabled.

  • Satellite Pro 4270: after update BIOS CPU speed at 250 MHz

    Welcome.

I have upgraded the BIOS to version 2.7 (downloaded on toshiba website) in Satellite Pro 4270 and after her, my bus speed decrease to 250 MHz, so now I have Celeron 250 MHz instead of 500 MHz. You have some suggestions? Where can I find the old version of the BIOS in v2.7?
    Thank you

    HI Artur,

Unfortunately, it is not possible to download an older version of BIOS on yout laptop since the BIOS update procedure is written to test later versions pre-installed and not too write.

You will need to take your laptop to a Service partner certified to have a previous version of the BIOS re-installed.

    Kind regards

  • Satellite A500-13W - after update BIOS the FN buttons do not work

Yesterday I updated my Bios of my laptop to 1.50. After that the FN buttons no longer works. Can someone help me? ^ ^

    Sorry for my bad English

    Hello

You have installed the correct version of the BIOS of your laptop?

Features of FN buttons are normally not depending on the version of the BIOS. So, you need Toshiba value added Package and utility tools to Support Flash Cards. Then I recommend to reinstall two of them.

    You can download it here:
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com > support & downloads > download drivers

Remove all older versions first. Reboot then install VAP and finally Flash Cards Support utility.

  • Satellite C55 - Has - after update BIOS fan turns faster

    Hello

I have been informed by Toshiba application this new version of the BIOS is available, I confirmed BIOS and it has been updated. Now I have the problem. Cooling fan runs faster than before and it is very annoying.
Find old versions of BIOS somewhere and roll back? I didn't need it if it does not work properly.

Now I have version 1.40. Y at - it a solution for this new version?

Message was edited: assignment has been translated

Driver Toshiba UE page provides only the latest version of the BIOS.
In addition, the BIOS downgrade isn't possible using the update to the BIOS of win-bases.
To downgrade the BIOS Toshiba unit, you will need to use the traditional method of updating the BIOS that requires a special version of BIOS. It is available only for the authorized service provider.

On the other hand, it must be a good reason, why the cooling module run faster.
Perhaps that the cooling method has been improved again BIOS just to make sure that the internal parts would be properly cooled.

It s just a guess but I think it makes sense

By the way: after each update of the BIOS, you must load the BIOS default settings and should save the changes. If you haven t done this in the past, it doesn't

  • Satellite L350D - crash after update BIOS?

    Hey all.

Put windows XP on my Satellite L350D, worked well, has all the drivers etc. and works perfectly. Returned on the toshiba site and saw there is an update of the BIOS for it, then downloaded and says to install. To halfway through she turned off the laptop (thin power supply and had a full battery, so must have been updating).

Now it will not boot up what so ever. The power light turns on but nothing else works.

Im guessing that he wiped or corrupted BIOS, is there any fix for this, I can refer to toshiba or am I out of luck?

    Hello

The failure of the Bios is one of the most painful problem in this forum. Too many discussions on the failure of the bios posted and typical response is to contact the ASP. Read this, may be useful for you

  • Re: Satellite A210 dead after that BIOS crashed

    Someone please help!

During BIOS update computer laptop (toshiba satellite a210) spontaneously restarted.
As the record on the controller was not performed (if I understand correctly) is now a laptop is not included.

Thanks in advance for any help.

    Hi mate

I m afraid. I have bad news for you.
The laptop needs a help of ASP.
The module ROM BIOS has to be flashed again and this can be done by ASP in your country. The technician would use a disc of crisis of BIOS that allows to get the laptop back to life.

  • Touchpad no longer works after update BIOS on Satellite A500-1GL

    Hello world

I just bought my laptop Satellite A500-1GL today. I started at the top and plays a bit (nothing serious). The touchpad worked very well at the moment.

Then I discovered this tool to update the material and the update of the BIOS that worked without any problems. After I restarted the laptop, BIOS, loaded the default values of the installation and recorded.
After that Windows 7 (x 64) started the touchpad no longer works...

I downloaded the driver here and installed again once, still does not. I went into the BIOS, disabled the touchpad (I thought that maybe it's a bug...) and started again. It still does not...

I enabled it again in the BIOS, tried to push the function + F9, but it still does not... Finally, I used the recovery and installed a Windows 7 costs.
    But unfortunately it still doesn't.

Now, I'm out of ideas, can anyone help?
Is there a chance to get the older version of BIOS to downgrade it?

    Thanks in advance ;)

    Hello

It seems strange that after update Bios touchpad no longer works.

    > Is there a chance to get the older version of BIOS to downgrade it?

To be honest, I don't know where to find. In any case, do a search on Google. Perhaps, other users of the forum can give you a link to download.
The downgrade of the Bios is riskier upgrade procedure. So, be careful the next time...
Advice for the future; Do not touch the running system.

    Good luck!

  • Satellite Pro A300 (PSAG9E) - after updating BIOS Windows will not start

Restart went well after update BIOS and Windows XP logo appears loads for a few seconds then a beep and restart - last good known or start Windows normally same effect.
Reboot back to start - this is a new laptop - using the BIOS of Toshiba s official download site.

Quite annoyed to try to find a way to upgrade or downgrade the BIOS.
Took battery and RAM to see if I can delete it?

    Any ideas anyone?

I think you mean BIOS * update * and do not upgrade ;)
    An upgrade is not possible

However, you can try to remove the battery and the AC adapter and wait an hour. After that, reconnect the battery and the AC adapter and try to start Windows.
Moreover I would load the default settings in the BIOS before starting Windows.

If it doesn't work, it seems that your ROM module needs to be reflashed. In this case an ASP can help you.
