I downloaded the latest drivers. Also if I try to do a system restore I will be able to do what I read that it will no longer work. Hello

Are you running other programs they need for the camera, like MSN, Skype, etc. ?
Moreover, can you also test if the webcam works on Skype, MSN or other video chat software.

In addition, you should try to update the BIOS and load default settings here. Maybe it will work.

You can get a new drive for Toshiba Recovery directly, but you must pay for it. Here you can order a new:

  • Satellite L300-15V - how to restore BIOS & DMI?

    Hello!

Please help restore the default settings of the BIOS and its content very.
DMI is necessary to restore the data, and the value of SN, UUID and others, this utility is not found.
    Laptop: Toshiba Satellite L300-15V
    Model: PSLBCE-00L008RU

    Does not work:
    -The touchpad during installation of Windows XP (after installation and install the drivers everything works), used to work;
    -Adjust the volume using the wheel;
    -Some Fn keys.

It would be ideal if someone sent the utility and / or a full dump of the BIOS (probably taken by the programmer).
    Thank you!
Change the load through the service center to offer please don't be too cheap and unreasonable.

    Hello

I put t whether someone here will be able to help you with this, but who can help you with this if you n t even write what model of laptop you have.

I guess you know that the BIOS is mobile specific and if you want to help volume you must put the exact model name and model number.

  • Satellite Pro A300-1 system restore has 8 Vista works not

I wanted to use the system restore because of the attempt to reconfigure the administrator rights, its somehow deleted all my shortcuts on my menu and messed with a few things.

However, when I try to use the system restore (I tried to use it in safemode, via cmd promp, bunch together and normal), but all seem to keep hanging in the same green page where you can read something in the sense of "system is initializing restore etc" (spend 45 minutes on this page until I get fed up and shut down the computer). I tried to use different restore points the same thing happens. He loves his work not at all.

Can anyone help with this please?

My laptop is a Satellite Pro A300-1 to 8.

    Hello

You mean the Vista tool, which is located in (Start button-> all programs-> Accessories-> System Tools-> system restore) does not work and you cannot set back the Vista until the early time?

Well, usually there's not much to do to restore the operating system to start time the point you have to play the System Restore tool and choose the restore point. Then everything should run automatically.
If this doesn t work while something is messed up as you said in your ad above somehow deleted all your shortcuts in my menu and messed with a few things possibly operating system was messed in.

Try to clean the operating system by using the freeware CCLeaner for example. I also use it. It s great. Repair and clean the operating system and check if it is possible to use the system again restore tool.

I also found this MS page:

  • Satellite L300 - error if I try to create a recovery disk

I was trying to create recovery disks for my new L300, but after a few minutes, the program stops and receive Error Messages (boot.wim is not). Yet once, I tried to create through other DVDs of brand as Philips DVD - R, Imation DVD - R, Sony DVD + r etc.
Can you please help with that?

I can't find the Verbatim and TDK DVD in our market closest to try these marks too.

    Hello!

I have a Satellite L300 too and didn t have problems to create the Toshiba recovery disc. I used DVD - R Verbatim media and usually got the best experience with the manufacture of DVD and DVD - R types.

In your case, I would try this DVD media or the TDK DVD-R discs. If you can find t he on the store closest to the computer you can also order it online. Take a look on Amazon or eBay, here, you can order these media.
    It s worth a try! ;)

You can access the advanced boot menu if you press F8 after starting the laptop? Then you can start to the recovery Toshiba HDD option (select Repair my computer).

  • critical error after system restore and windows updates

I cleaned up my old computer and did a system restore.  Subsequently, I have install windows to perform automatic updates.  The computer detected 37 windows updates and install them.  After a successful windows install update, the computer said I had to reboot so I did.  Now the computer tries to start but then comes a blue screen with a bunch of text and then said: critical error.  I tried to do a system restore, and when I get to the part, he begins to restore and gets to 13% and then says critical error and I have tried to try again, but nothing happens.  Stuck... Please advise.

If restore work not and you do not have a Vista DVD from Microsoft, do a repair disc to do a repair system restore / boot:

Download the ISO on the link provided and make a record of repair time it starts.

Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.

When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.

It's a very good Vista startup repair disk.

You can do a system restart tool, system, etc it restore.

  • Error: "the system restore is disabled by group policy" when he tried to use the system restore

    Original title: group policy

When I try to use the system restore, I get "system restore is disabled by group policy. How can I fix this problem?

    Hi bluelilly,

    1. is your computer connected to a domain?
    2. don't you make changes before the show?

This occurs if the Configuration policy to disable is enabled on your system, either by using Group Policy or through the registry editor. For stand-alone systems Windows Vista, follow these steps:
Step 1: Using the Group Policy Editor. If your edition of Windows Vista includes the Group Policy Editor (gpedit.msc) snap-in, follow these steps:
    a. Click Start, type gpedit.msc and press ENTER.
    b. go to the following branch: Computer Configuration | Administrative templates | System | System restore
    c. double click on disable the Configuration and set it to not configured.
Note: If the above setting is already set to not configured, set it to "Enabled" and click on apply. Return back the setting to not configured, then click on apply, OK.
    d. Quit Group Policy Editor.
    e. restart the computer and check the difference.

Step 2: Using the registry editor
    a. Click Start, type regedit.exe and press ENTER
    b. navigate to the following key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE-Software-policies-Microsoft-Windows NT------SystemRestore
    (c) in the right pane, delete the value named DisableConfig.
    d. Quit Registry Editor.
    e. restart the computer and check the difference.

Very important: Modifying the registry incorrectly will cause serious damage to the computer. Back up the registry until you make changes.

  • Satellite L300. How to restore Vista after replacing HARD drive?

This hard drive died a week after I bought the laptop just for a month ago.

Then, I favour toshiba wrote and said that it be fixed in the rehabilitation of specific local store.
Then store made me a new hard drive, so the files have disappeared.

There is not any operating system is installed there, and I was not even trying to create a before recovery disk.
To restore the system to the L300, it must use its recovery disc, as soon as I hear?
The original system is vista. When I tried to insert a xp disc, it showed error after all the loading "stop: 0x0000007b...". »
Could someone tell me how to handle?
    Thank you very much!

    > There is not any operating system is installed there, and I was not even trying to create a before recovery disk.
Bad, bad. Buddy. Generally, you need to create the recovery to the first disk using the laptop.
T did not read the user manual? Didn't you see the reminder?
It s always recommended to create the recovery disk!

    > I've heard to restore the system to the L300, it must use its recovery disk, right?
Yes, you are right. In order to restore the Vista, you must use the recovery disc!

    > The original system is vista. When I tried to insert a xp disc, it showed error after all the loading "stop: 0x0000007b...". "Could someone tell me how to handle?
I think that it does not work because of controller SATA HDD.
Either you'll assign compatible SATA mode (in BIOS)
Or you must include the Windows XP SATA drivers.

Check the HowTo of this forum area to get some details how to integrate the SATA (AHCI drivers) in Win XP.

    Hello

I discovered that the error 8007007A means.
    Insufficient buffer number.

Someone has suggested that the update of windows is probably set to "automatic".
There are probably too many updates or a large as a service pack.

But for EU Toshiba HARD drive recovery worked as follows:
    -power up the unit
    -Press F8
    -Choose fix my computer
    -Choose Toshiba Recovery
-Follow the instructions on the screen.

    It works for you?
