I have this laptop for 2 or 3 years, there can remember, there is almost a year does not start on the first shot,.
transform them windows like 2 minutes it is restart and do as Bill as 3 4 times and then is working.

now, I try to cook him upwards, and is therefore more stay on, it works 15 min, then he the accident, so I can't use it

now I checked RAM, hard drive and works Ok, my battery is dead, computer laptop running on power cable only.

In my view, is the video card or a power source, means something on the motherboard is broken? :-??

Am I right? TNX

On this path virtual that is not easy to say that component materials is troublemaker, but is must certainly be a serious hardware problem.

It is: what you can do now?
If the OS crashes, you can only test with its own OS pre-installed (recovery disk) and see exactly what is happening.
You can also try to start and enter the BIOS settings. Let him for a some time see if the laptop turns on or it may be to turn off after a certain time.

I put t know what to say. If there is something only hardware problem, you can do is sell it on eBay and buy a new one.

If the laptop is brand new it back as soon as possible and ask for replacement.
On this virtual path, it is not easy to say what the problem is here, but it may be related to faulty display, especially if you can see from the first moments when the laptop is turned on.

Don't try anything. Request a new one. If you can not new, contact the nearest Toshiba service provider and ask for help. They need to exchange the defective part.

    Hello
All of a sudden my Satellite L300 has many colored lines running up and down the screen.
have never seen this before on any pc, so do not know what could be the cause.

have tried a search on this forum but found nothing relevant.

need to know if its worth trying to fix...

Failed to contact Toshiba other than the robot which is useless.

    Thank you

I can't say for sure, but it might be faulty display.
What you can try is to connect the external monitor or TV to the laptop and check if there is a problem on an external device. In case contrary it comes to the display and it should be replaced.

Googling around you can check how much you must pay for the display again and do a rough estimate, if Exchange is the right option or not.

  • Gel and horizontal line

Hello guys, but first forgive my English language.

Before that I don't have enough time (busy with the campsite) and strong wifi to update my ios for my iphone 5s. I use ios 8.4.1 then I've updated directly to 9.2.1 ios using itunes as I supposedly updated ios 9 first. Then, every 3 minutes scrolling my phone, he become the gel and the horizontal lines appear on my screen. Also, I restarted my phone for my time. But it remains the same. Whats happening? Help me

    Hi noshsyahirah,

I don't know if the horizontal lines that you see on your iPhone are the result of the iOS 9.2.1 update but I will propose a number of things to try.  The first is to update your iPhone in order to ensure that the software is installed correctly.  If the problem persists, you will need to backup your iPhone and then restore it as a new device.  If after trying these software troubleshooting steps you still see horizontal lines, then your device will need to be inspected for a hardware problem.

  • Satellite L300 - 1-5 - the screen does not work

Recently, I encountered a problem with my laptop, the screen does not work.
I tested my inverter of the screen and my backlight lamp to see that if that was the problem, but they both worked perfectly, I then tried the entire screen with the parts and that worked too. (I tried in my friends Toshiba Satellite L300 - 217)

Then I looked around online and got told to try to connect my laptop to an external monitor, so I did and the screen didn't work there either. So now I'm stuck, I have tried everything even made sure all connections aren't loose etc but it still does not.

Anyone know what the problem with my laptop?

    Thank you, Tom

    Hey Buddy,

    > connect my laptop to an external monitor, so I did and the screen didn't work there either.
This means that the internal monitor is ok and the reason must be the graphics card or card mother herself.

I guess for now, you get only a screen empty and nothing happens on your laptop?

In this case, you should contact the closest service provider authorized in your country. Just get in touch with the guys and ask for help. They can check the cell phone and fix it! ;)

  • Satellite L300 - Toshiba Recovery Disck, which it stores?

    Hello

my experience with computers is very limited, so I'll use very simple language and perhaps a few stupid words.

I have a Toshiba Satellite L300. I want to restart because of the research and discussions that have been made through it.
I know that even if I delete them in my story they still remain in the hard disk, HHD.
So I tried restarting my pc, I contacted computer guy who sold me the pc and it said that I can use a recovery disk to recover my original windows but it does not mean that this disc will also install the memory of old?

In short, I was to start my pc to get rid of all the images, discussions msn, google search since my pc.
Its history, those who are still keept in the pc but I can not access.
I have not yet created my recovery disk, but it will include my old files and history? or just windows and drivers?

    Hello

If I understand correctly you want to format (call you it, restart) files from your hard drive to remove information such as history, no one can read.
Please, do not forget if you even format your hard drive, it is always possible to recovery all data from your hard drive.
As I know, there is a good software called Tech clear, it can destroy all data on your hard drive and almost impossible to recover safely (depending on which algorithm use the choice). But I don't understand why you need. You have something special?
Talking about recovery disk, you can do a fresh install, but old information can be retrieved by special utilities.

The screen of my laptop began to have multicolored horizontal lines flickering on her.
I shut it, waited a bit and then he turned his back and it was worse.

I'm afraid his crashed, what can I do?

I'm scared of m it s a serious hardware problem.
IT could be a display problem or graphics card problem.

You can connect the laptop to an external monitor to check it out.
If the lines are visible on the 2nd monitor, the graphics card is defective

  • Satellite L300 - driver Open Webcam fail. Restart the computer or the camera

    Hello

I recently bought a new Satellite L300 under Windows Vista Home Premium SP1. The Webcam worked fine for a few days and then the next time I booted up Vista, I get the following error "Webcam driver open fail, please restart camera or computer. Since the computer is new I reformatted to see if it wasn t a program is blocking something.

Reformat 2 times and the error still ride on the installation of the Camera Assistant Software for Toshiba. I downloaded the update from Toshiba support file but still the same error. The funny thing is that the Device Manager does not detect even the webcam. There is no registration for the webcam. How will I know that it is a hardware problem? Does anyone have experience with this problem?

The store that I bought it offered to give me a new, but do not have any in stock, so I have to wait 3 weeks.

    Thank you

    Hello

The webcam must be listed in the Device Manager. It s not called not webcam but you should find it in the imagery of the devices-> USB video device

The webcam should work fine. Usually after installing the webcam software, you should find the webcam software in the MSCONFIG-> startup
If the webcam is listed here then that would mean that the software/driver webcam still load during a laptop boot procedure.

In some cases there could be a compatibility issue between this software and a 3rd party applications like MS messenger or Skype for example.

In your case, I recommend you to disable the webcam and other applications such as MS messenger or Skype software in MSCONFIG-> startup.
Then clean the BONES and the registry using the CCLeaner.

I also recommend the Vista update to the last State. All fixes and patches must be installed!

Finally if you want to use the webcam then you could start the software manually.
Exe file must be placed in Camera Assistant Software.

    Best regards

  • [SOLVED] Satellite L300 wireless dead, suddenly stop, then won't power ON

Well, actually, that this post is NOT a question that I already found the solution, but it took me much time searching through forums (and in fact I had not found response), so I decided to post it here to help someone in the same situation later.

Ok.. I'm all new Satellite L300 laptop a week ago, which runs under WinXP SP2. First five days, everything was OK, but then I confronted the following symptoms:

-Material Wi - fi could disappear suddenly. After the restart, winXP found the map of wireless as a new device, but could not accept pilots (who has worked on OK again a few hours before).
-Notebook could stop 'tough' at any time and it is not in the CPU load. After that I could not turn on again than by pressing the power button only turned on CPU cooler. I had to wait for at least 30 min power turn on the laptop again.

So, I started to search the forums, and as a result, I was sure the reason was overheating of the CPU to 115.337%. It was strange for me that I could not find similar reports for satellite L300 on the web and even all dust cpu overheating reports for other models Toshiba II found - they all have been written on popular laptops, but I got mine just a week ago.

Since I didn't bring my laptop to the local service center and leave it there for a long time - I decided to locate the problem myself as much as I can and I finally found the reason:

    * He was one of the two Samsung modules of 1 GB of RAM installed in notebook.*

As I removed a suspect (2nd) - all symptoms have disappeared. As I removed another installed back suspicious as 1st - I even haven't been able to turn on the laptop. So, I deleted completely suspicious module and now I had no problem with laptop computers running more than 2 days (except the performance decreased due to the loss of memory of 50%).

Hope this is helpful to someone who has a similar problem whose symptoms may resemble the overheating of the CPU.

Really great job and a very nice display!

I have a Satellite L300 too but never had any problems with it. I'll put this in my favorites because it s very useful for people who have this problem.

    Welcome them

  • Satellite P200D-139 screen with horizontal lines

I have a laptop Toshiba Satellite P200D-139 and the screen no longer works.
It turns on but the screen is made up of vertical lines, which slowly fade into a black screen.

I tried on an external monitor and it worked fine, (so probably cannot be a defective/motherboard graphics card). So, I thought that it was likely to be the inverter or the screen itself.
After trying a new inverter without success, I bought another second hand screen.

However, the new screen is exactly the same problem with horizontal lines display.
Sometimes, I catch a partial glimpse of a Vista screensaver for a fraction of a second, but then back to black. I m not a technophobe, so any info would be much appreciated.

Please help, as he leads me into the wall!

    > I tried on an external monitor and it worked fine, (so probably cannot be a defective/motherboard graphics card). So, I thought that it was likely to be the inverter or the screen itself.

Right. I think that the problem is related to the display

    > However, the new screen has exactly the same problem with horizontal lines display.
Well, it might be possible that the second screen is faulty, too that if you bought this as part of the second hand then it might be possible that you bought a screen that is not working properly.

What to say; It of difficult to say what you should do next. Buy a new screen and check it again? Well, I think that I would visit the next computer repair store and ask for verification of the display.
I think it's the best solution in your case

  • Satellite Pro M10 - horizontal lines on the screen in different areas

    Hi all

    I hope someone can help.
My Satellite Pro M10 seems to suffer a display problem where I have horizontal lines on the screen in different areas.
It would be well for 10 minutes and when the laptop seems to warm up this problem begins, then shortly after
The laptop would crash and enter in a resolution of 800 x 600 16 colors or sometimes freeze.

Graphic drivers have been resettled, and even a new installation of Windows XP from the recovery CD does not help.
A reboot doesn't solve what the same thing happens again and after one minute of use, so I thought it might be a video or cooling problem.
I changed the video card I had a spare part of my last motherboard hoping this would solve the problems, but the problem persists.
Perhaps a cooling problem? Or problems of motherboard?
The motherboard has been replaced twice, hoping that this isn't another mobo problem.

    Any advice would be great.

    Thank you.

    Hello

I m not 100% sure but to me it looks a bit like an overheating problem
Maybe the graphics card may not be properly cooled after a certain period of time and that's why these strange horizontal lines appear on the screen.

I wonder how you were able to replace the graphics chip on the motherboard?  :|
If I m not wrong not the chip is fixed and the replacement is very easy and difficult

It of always difficult to say what's maybe wrong without running several diagnostic tests in most cases this problem may be related to the defective chip or motherboard and so the following should be checked

Sorry, but that's all I can suggest.

    Best regards from my friend

  • Satellite L300 - after restarting the screen brightness is the highest level once again

    Hello!

    I have a Toshiba Satellite L300-215.

Just installed Windows XP I went to keen on Vista. In any case I ve downloaded all the XP drivers on the Toshiba site. Everything works perfectly except the brightness level.

When I start my laptop to the top of the screen is at its maximum brightness that I then use the function hotkey special "FN and f6" to turn down the brightness of the screen. However once I have disable my laptop then restart it, the brightness goes back to the maximum level again...
Any ideas how I could prevent the brightness that goes back to max?

I read that it s a particular order I should install the utilities and drivers from the Toshiba website for windows XP?
The ideas and help in what order?

    See you soon

    Hello

In your case, I'd install the Toshiba Power Saver. This Toshiba tool is really great because set you the brightness of the screen for different profiles (full power, normal, etc.) and there you can adjust the brightness of the screen. In addition, you can change the method of cooling, the performance of the processor and to this day.
    Check it!

You can download the energy on the Toshiba page saver. I also have a Satellite L300 with Windows XP and everything works perfectly.

Here's the order of installation for Toshiba tools, they control the FN keys, etc. :
    Toshiba Common modules
    TOSHIBA Hotkey Utiliy
Utility Toshiba Touchpad on / off
    Toshiba Utilities
    TOSHIBA Power Saver
    Toshiba Assist
    Toshiba controls

    Good bye

the laptop has a geforce gt 525 m gpu and the sistem has 8 GB ddr3 1333 mhz, if this can help

    Hello

Connect the external monitor and check if the same lines would be visible on 2nd screen.
If these lines are not visible, then it means that the internal display may be defective.
Otherwise, it might be a graphics card problem if line would appear on two screens.

  • Keeps restarting to the opening screen of Toshiba Satellite L300

My satellite L300 starts with the Toshiba screen and keeps leaving regularly until I see the blue panel of Windows saying please wait... After that the screen goes black, and it shows the opening screen of Toshiba. I tried to go into the system by pressing F2 or F12 but I'm a technical noob and it's way to complicated for me.

According to my sister she has something to do with a faulty download and I need to insert some kind of code in one of the systems (F2 or F12).

Anyone who is familiar with this problem and maybe someone can explain to me how do I solve this problem?

    Thank you!

To start the laptop in safe mode, try to please.
When you turn it on, press F8 to display the advanced startup options. You will find the option of safe mode.

Wait for windows to load. I hope that you will be able to do.

What you can try then is to roll back OS to an earlier time using System Restore option.

    Please test and send feedback.
