Satellite L300 - no response keyboard and mouse after Windows 7 upgrade

Hi all

After a new Windows 7 Ultimate installed on my PSLB0E L300, I lost the use of the keyboard and mouse pads.

I did the installation with a usb mouse, who also now works. I downloaded all the drivers connected to my machine using the virtual keyboard, rebooted after each installed drivre, still does not.
I also updated the BIOS, 1.3-1.5, still does not

The strange part is that I can't access BIOS with F2, or sequence of starting using F12 at startup, navigate through the BIOS, so the keyboard works, but no longer works when Windows 7 has started.

I tried to put all the defaults in the BIOS, no change.

Hello

Have you installed additional drivers or tools for these external devices? If so you should remove, just check the software list in Control Panel.

Normally the touchpad can be turned on/off with the FN + F9 key combination.

In addition, it would be interesting to know what is happening on the factory settings. I mean the operating system preinstalled by Toshiba.

I installed windows 7 on my neighbor's computer.  I do not have the keyboard and the mouse at the time so I used one of my own (not wireless).  Now, I have a keyboard and mouse, but can not understand how to operate.  The computer is a gateway FX400 XL.  I went to the front door and downloaded a driver entered Gateway 400 series for Windows 7 32-bit system.  I then ran the installation for this driver who really seemed to be for Windows XP.  I shut down the computer, unplugged my mouse and keyboard, and return the computer.  I have a cursor on the screen but it won't move and the keyboard does not work.  I then plugged my keyboard and mouse again and still works.  Any ideas as to what I should try next?

    Hello Willie Wonka 2,.

Mouse and keyboard wirelesss should have with its own installation disc you need to first install. You should also have a "receiver" which the mouse and the keyboard must be synchronized with to make them work properly. If you look at the bottom of the mouse and keyboard, you should see a button 'tiny' with the words 'connect' next to them. You must move the mouse close the "receiver" and press the button connect the mouse with a blunt object (pencil will usually do). All the lights of the "receiver" will start to Flash when the mouse connects. When they stop flashing the connection generally were filed. You will need to do the same thing with the keyboard.

Regarding the drivers, you should check the site of manufacturers of keyboard and mouse for the updates.

Someone has any idea how to solve this problem?

    Hello

I don't think there is a way to solve this problem. Also, I assume it is the related issue of the BIOS. Is perhaps the time to be up-to-date and use new and compatible equipment. ;)

  • Satellite A660 - keyboard and mouse start clicking on self

    Hi all

I bought a Satellite A660 yesterday, and he begins to show a problem with the keyboard and mouse as well. The two begin clicking one for himself, and after some time, stops, but again. I did all windows 7 updates but didn't solve.

Anyone know what I can do? Regardz Alex

I recommend you to install the recovery image again (recovery disk with F8 at startup option).
After that do what you will get new out-of-box state. Do not install the updates. At first check to see if the problem persists.
If so, contact your dealer as soon as possible and ask for Exchange.

  • wired keyboard and mouse not recognized after sleep

TL; DR after waking from sleep, the wired Mac keyboard and mouse are unresponsive.

I have a new Mac Mini.

    OS X El Capitan 10.11.2, 16 gb Core i7.

I had a keyboard and a compatible bluetooth mouse, but I had the problem that after the Mini for sleep, the keyboard and the mouse were not detected.

I bought an Apple mouse wired and wired keyboard.

I have the same problem.  If I SLEEP the Mini, when I wake up it (short press on power) or the keyboard or the mouse are recognized.  It's like I have no connected.  If I disconnect it from the usb and the re - attach they are not always recognized.  I have to press power to force power off and restart and then my keyboard and mouse are recognized.

Sometimes when pressing the power button to wake up from her sleep, I also get a "flickering" image monitor, which improves if I turn on and off to sleep a few times, or restart.

It is very annoying, any ideas?

Try turning off blue tooth - it seems to me the pop up screen searching for the mouse Bluetooth turn on the lock.

  • USB keyboard and mouse no longer work after motherboard change

I recently changed my motherboard for an ASUS maximus VI Impact, keeping all the other components of the same with the hope of making a generation m - ITX. Now when I turn on the windows machine starts normally, but on the home screen when I type my password to connect, the keyboard and mouse seem to lose the power and stop working.

I tried all USB ports and think its unlikely a hardware problem as the keyboard and mouse work in Bios menu. Also, I have messed around with heritage and setting USB in the Bios, nothing helps. I have a feeling that I have to install the new drivers of motherboard to enable USB support but I can't do that without logging, and the motherboard doesn't have a PS/2 port as well as rules using a PS/2 keyboard.

After reading I think it might have something to do with the version of windows installed on the SSD, I'm using (this is a version for windows 7 Home premium 64-bit OEM) and different sources say that this can only be connected to a motherboard. Is it interesting to try to do a clean installation of windows or will it be a waste of time with my current version? My ideas, please help.

    Hello George,.

Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community Forum.

Before you start with the troubleshooting steps, please answer the following questions.

    1. What is the brand and model of the computer?
    2. How do you reinstall Windows on the new motherboard?
    3. Have you received the OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) installation DVD?

The OEM of Windows version depends on the hardware ID. If you change the motherboard of the computer, hardware ID changes and you will not be able to install/work with the version of Windows OEM.

I would recommend that you connect another keyboard and mouse to the computer and check if it works. If the game different from the mouse and keyboard does not work with the computer, you may want to consider reinstalling Windows. For more information on reinstalling Windows, you can ask the OEM.

    We know the result.

    Thank you.

  • Need help to get my mouse recognized, all started after the installation of the center of the keyboard and mouse

Original title: Microsoft mouse and keyboard Center

    Hello

I'm sure this question has been asked and answered before.
But I just bought a mouse Microsoft Sculpt comfort, downloaded and installed M and K Center. But it does not recognize my mouse, I plugged the mouse to my laptop until I downloaded M and K Center and it worked fine, but all I want to do is program the side button.
I use a Lenovo ThinkPad X 61 with the latest drivers for Bluetooth and Win 7 Pro.
Is there something I need to do to get my mouse to be recognized by the centre of keyboard and mouse?
    M

    Hi Matt,

    Please write to us.

I recommend you to uninstall the drivers of mouse from the Device Manager, then use this link http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/en-us/p/sculpt-comfort-mouse#support to install the drivers. Please select the operating system and the correct version before installing.

Same thing applies to the mouse and keyboard Centre has as well, use the same link to install the updated drivers after you uninstall from the control panel.

Processor: Intel (r) Celeron (r) CPU
    900 to 2.20 GHz 2.19 Ghz

My mouse is actually a touchpad - Synaptics PS/2 Port TouchPad.

I need help as SOON as possible so that I can get back to work.

This is equivalent to the old rule of iron of computing: If you have important files on your PC, then you need to back up an external medium regularly. Problem request not do or wait until you have a major problem. Fortunately, Windows 7 gives you a loop hole. Here's how it works:
    1. get a disk external 2.5 "in a USB case.
    2. connect it to the PC.
    3. set your BIOS so that it uses the DVD drive as its primary boot device.
    4. start the computer with the Windows 7 repair CD or with your Windows 7 installation DVD.
    5. press a button if you are prompted to start from the DVD.
    6. When prompted, select "Safe Mode Command Prompt".
    7. connect as administrator if you are prompted.
    8. Select repair when prompted.
    9. Select command prompt.
    10. save your files or folders on the external USB drive (or a flash drive).
If you are not familiar with the commands of copy in the command line environment, ask a friend gifted in computer science to help you.

After solving the problem of keyboard and mouse, do you a favor and use the USB disk as backup media. On a regular basis.
