Satellite L300 - portable computer does not load

Hello

I just wanted to know roughly how much it should cost, or what can I do to fix my laptop. It does not load and I bought a new charger to see if it works but it started to load for a few days and then stopped working again.

All responses will be apperciated, thank you.

Hi DeeDee_1,

If you have already bought a new charger and it doesn t work there seems to be a motherboard problem, but another part could be affected too

Here he s just a user to user forum and nobody can tell you how much it would cost because a professional diagnosis is necessary. After that an authorized service provider can make you an offer on all repair costs.

Then contact the guy and ask for help. They can give you a good answer ;)

  • Satellite L300 - 16L - Vista does not load

I have a L300 - 16L, and now, it will fail to start.

When the laptop is turned on, I get two options (can not be sure of the exact text that I don't have with me at the moment):
    (1) start Windows repair
    (2) start Windows normally

When I choose the second option, I get a blue screen and the failure error code is:
    Stop 0 x 00000024 (0 x 00190444, 0x864d22e0, 0xc0000102, 0x00000000)

When I choose option 1, I get "the installed program cannot start. Click OK to turn off the computer.

I downloaded and created a CD to restore Vista from the Microsoft Web site and have run
    Bootrec /fixmbr
    Bootrec /fixboot
Neither of which solves the problem.

If I press PF8 when starting, I get several options, including the safe boot mode. However after he was responsible for various files (of which the last is CRCDISK. (SYS), all I get is a black screen.

Unfortunately, I did not create recovery disks, but no doubt I could select Toshiba HDD Recovery option that appears in the options when I press PF8 during startup.
However, I think I'll have to copy all my existing data first as this option will wipe away on my hard drive (I guess that I'll be able to copy the data using the Vista recovery CD because it allows me to open a command prompt window).

Someone at - it other ideas on how to solve this problem before going in the way of HARD drive recovery?

    Thank you

To be honest, I have to laugh after reading your posts.
I wonder what you do with your laptop. You must be the expert to ruin good operating system.

So, if you didn t created a recovery media and if you don't have option to fix my computer when you start advanced boot options (F8) you can't do anything. Just nothing. HDD recovery is useless because without repair my computer option cannot start the recovery procedure.

What you can do is to install your own Vista or order the original Toshiba recovery media for your laptop model.
Do you know how to do this?

All I can imagine is that you need the BIOS update. If I remember well even on a satellite notebook fixed with the latest version of the BIOS update.

My laptop Toshiba Satellite L300 PSLB8C-0H901X, does not work, no power, no MESSAGE, nothing, lamp power and charge Get when pluged into anything else, any known issues? All the fixes, thank you in advance for your help.

Of course, your laptop is completely dead. In such situation, there is no magic solution and I m afraid that you need professional help. If there is absolutely no reaction is maybe defective electronic power supply and the motherboard must be exchanged.

As you know this is part more expensive so you need to check if this is the solution for you.
Call, explain the situation and let it check your laptop.

Hello I would wait until you try to do the repair first

Make sure that the hd is just a notebook size hd
Make sure that the speed is the same thing that you already size is really for you
before you start to have a complete set of installation discs for the mfgr
If you only use the os disk you will not load the microsoft embedded key encode any additional programs the mfgr installed or modified specially for your computer model and the party in the form of hard disk, you will need to do it yourself the format should be identical to the new factory
uninstall all the equipment installed after you bought the computer (you must add once installation is complete)

  • Samsung laptop computer does not load windows 7, need to reinstall (no cd, no cd key)

Samsung laptop comes with windows 7, does not load past the bottom (and even in this case, does not load the user/pw. Need to reinstall how? It did not come with a cd key and I tried to go back to the last good config and it did not work (im going with a file corrupt and need a cd key). He gets in the background, but is not past. I want to just reinstall windows 7 home 64 bit, but I miss a cd and don't know how to get the cd or the cd key for it.

New computers coming often pre-installed with Windows 7 have what is called a recovery partition. This is used to reinstall an operating system in the case of a system failure. To access it, you need to start when you start your computer by pressing a function key. This can be either F1, F2, F9, F10, F11, F12 key DEL or tab. See the manual that came with your PC for instructions on how to reinstall Windows.

This is how the recovery partition is accessible to most popular brands...

For Samsung, press F4 to the power upward...

You will probably find the product key in the compartment to batteries.

Bought J6413 all-in-one; the software that is installed according to the instructions on the CD.  Attempted to restart after the installation, the computer hangs upward after shooting intself on and display the logo of the motherboard, does not load Windows.

Printer is off, did reset, everything was fine, Windows loaded etc.  Repeat the action and came to the conclusion that the power of the computer with the printer off left (it's a fax machine, it should be all the time) or even reset the onboard computer after, say, install new software, prevents the loading of Windows on them turn on the computer.

Only possible mode of operation is to put off the printer, then turn off the computer, then turn on printer to serve fax standby and then do the same set of operations before turning to new computer.

Please refer to the manuals that you received for your PC and disable the "USB Émulation" and "USB devices starting" the BIOS settings.

  • Satellite L750 - 17 p does not load Windows

Hi all... I have a Toshiba Satellite L750 - 17 p, since a few days now, when I turn on the PC after the toshiba logo I get the loading screen and the window ms back with the inscription: system32 / drvload.exe
MS-DOS screen remains empty and the computer doesn't load... could you help me?

Are able to repair the system using the Windows own repair options?
I guess you are using Win 7 because this system has been pre-installed by Toshiba.
Switch on and press F8. Here, you choose the first option called fix my computer.
Now you should be able to choose between several options. I think you should try the first option that allows you to automatically repair the system.

If this option does not help, try to set the system on the last good configuration/status running

  • Satellite L300-1AY recovery does not

    Hello

I have a question about the recovery for a Tosihba Satellite L300-1AY with Windows Vista preinstalled.
I wanted to grab my laptop and when I pressed F8 during startup I could choose Restore my computer.

But after the game, I received a message-box (System Recovery Options) telling me that installed programs may not start, and the only option I had was press OK then the computer shuts down.

I was wondering if there was any way, this can be corrected or if there is another way to get my computer back.

    Hello

You may retrieve the laptop using the recovery DVDs that you created if all goes well before this problem happened
    Did you create recovery DVDs?

If this isn't the case, then only the HARD drive recovery option can be used.
For this you have to press F8 after that laptop has been powered.
    Then choose fix my computer.
Then a new window will appear and then you could choose Toshiba Recovery.

If this procedure does not start and you will not be able to use HARD drive recovery you need a Toshiba Recovery DVD.

If you didn t create the recovery DVD, so you can order it here:

  • Satellite L300-1BD - output does not work VGA

    Hello.

I have a Toshiba Satellite L300 1BD (model PSLB8E). I've been usinng the VGA output to connect to my LG tv. It worked fine until last week. All of a sudden the TV won't not reckognized by cell phone. TV says no external device is connected. I tried different things: commissioning with the TV connected and not connected via the VGA cable, by pressing the FN + F5, removing the battery and pressing on the powerbutton, verified to the last videodriver, deleted the driver existing and installed new... unfortunately without result. I also tried to plug the TV with a different VGA cable, but no result. It is not the TV because I tried to connect the laptop to a TFT monitor and it did not work as well. Tested the VGA cable with my friends laptop: it works perfectly.

The strange thing is: if I crochet TV up the laptop, I can hear the phone makes the his "new hardware found" and turns black same laptopscreen for a second, then everything appears on the laptopscreen. If I check the graphic properties with the right click on my desktop, I see they are no set for 'clone device ". As if the laptop computer knows, something is connected, but just cannot transfer the image to the TV screen.

The graphics card is a Mobile Intel 4 Series Express Chipset family.
The OS is Vista Home Basic (32).

It's a shame that the VGA output seems to be down because I watch tons of videos and movies through my laptop on the TV screen. I don't know if this could be a software or a hardware malfunction. If someone has an idea or an idea, please let me know. Thanks in advance!

    Marcin.

    Hello

All that you have done to test the functionality of a VGA port is good, but I assume that there must be a hardware problem and I recommend you to contact the nearest Toshiba service provider.
Of course, on this path virtual, we can only speculate what may be the problem, but it should be tested correctly. If you want to last and ultimate test Exchange HARD drive, install original OS, you got with the functionality of your laptop and test with the factory settings.

  • DVD-ROM on the Satellite L300 - 144 (PSLB0E) does not

    Hi all

I have a problem with my DVD player does not.

When I bought the laptop 2 months ago it was working fine, after about 2 weeks the DVD player started playing some DVDs and others read do not. I decided that I was going to go down the slope from Vista to XP to support programming languages and DB management tools does not not on Vista. After formatting and XP is loading, the DVD Player did exactly the same thing. Now 2 months down the line is not read or write any DVD and not CD even if it's still the DVD playback.

I followed the steps on the forum to remove the disc from the device and then Manager deleting Upper and Lower filters, although I couldn't find any filters lower or higher in the folder specified by the users of the forum. I restarted the machine and the pilot has been reloaded without a bit of luck. When you open the DVD drive in my computer, it's a blank screen as it would be for a compilation in writing, even if the DVD contains information on, even original movies DVD does exactly the same thing.

I also tried to recover the installation of Vista from the recovery DVD and it is not reading the DVD.

I looked in the manual where it says that the machine should have a readers following Panasonic UJ-870 b/UJ-870F, Hitachi GSA-T40N/GSA-T40F, Pioneer DVR-KD08TBM/DVR-KD08TBF, Samsung TS-L632H/TS-L632P or Toshiba SD-L802B. However if I go to my computer / device manager / Nero Info tool it shows all the DVD drive as drive SD-L622A. The driver info is the next Microsoft 5.1.2535.0 (2001/07/01) with firmware T070 version.

With the Toshiba Software accompanies the drive also fails.

Is there an updated driver that will help or updates the firmware or other solutions available to me?

    Thank you

    Hello

    you wrote

+ I also tried to recover the installation of Vista from the recovery DVD and it is not reading the DVD. +

It tells me that your DVD player is broken. Failure of equipment.

go to a Toshiba ASP. I think that your laptop is still under warranty.
