Satellite L300 PSLB8A - cannot locate the WLan adapter after downgrading from Vista to XP
Model - L300 Satellite PSLB8A-01F004
Place of residence current UK
Happy new year to you all. I have a problem with the adapter wireless following a downgrade from Vista to XP Pro home. Device Manager indicates that a network adapter, which is the LAN and it does not work properly.
I have two points with one exception - Ethernet controller and Modem on Bus High Definition Audio device.
I find all the major engines of the Toshiba Australia but he lists three (I think) site possible WLAN - Atheros, RealTek, and one of the other manufacturers.
I tried all three without success but am willing to acknowledge that I can have a mistake, perhaps by installing all three drivers at the same time for example.
The indicator on the front of the box portable wireless lights on or off with the hard switch setting.
I am also unable to locate the display of all available wireless netrworks, this can be a symptom of the driver is not installed.
I tried to locate the wireless card, but it doesn't seem to be accessible through the background panels, including the Panel of RAM module.
Any ideas please?
> I have two Articles with one exception - Ethernet controller and Modem on Bus High Definition Audio device.
The Ethernet controller is the WLAN adapter.
I guess that the WLan driver is missing and so the wireless network card does not appear under network adapters
Please check this Toshiba How TO:
This will help you find the right WLan driver for this chip.
and here you can find the drivers:
good luck and good news 2011 ;)

My son has the L300 that connects to the network wireless to the router in another room.
When it disconnects, or stop, the next time it starts it loses connectivity.
I am able to get it reconnected in connecting the router and reconfirming the setting, but it's tedious and quite often does not work.
His laptop computer often shows that it is connected but slow. I can't find a reasonable solution to all this.
It is not a problem with the signal that I have placed the right of the laptop next to the router, but still the same problem.
Any help, clues you can give will be greatly appreciated
Have you tried a new Wlan driver?
You should definitely update the driver
I have no idea what you have the WLan card but this Toshiba WLan driver page provides all possible drivers of the WLan for Atheros and Intel cards

Just a note: my laptop has Atheros WLan card and I m in order to establish the connection using the Atheros WLan configuration tool
It automatically connect my laptop to the Wlan
Please I can't find my microphone in my Satellite l300-14
Satellite L300-140O was equipped with the internal webcam and microphone belongs to the webcam.
The small hole must be visible close to the lens of the webcam.
My Satellite M70-337 has a problem. WiFi does not work and I can't install the driver for network controller. I downloaded all the drivers from the Toshiba Web site but it still does not work. If anyone knows what's going on, please let me know.
My email: [email protected] Best Rgs.
Depending on the laptop that you use, you will need to choose the right WLan driver.
Have you downloaded the WLan driver in the computer category laptop good?
It seems that the satellite M70-337 contains the number of PSM77E and that is why you chose this series of mobile in the download form.
Check that you have installed the wireless network card. It is important because the laptop might be bundled with various wireless network cards; for example with Intel or Atheros.
I think that if you chose the right laptop and use the good Wlan card that everything will work out ;)
I searched all forums, topics, discussions, etc., trying to find information about driver wireless by Satellite C660D-177. I downloaded the drivers from the drivers of Toshiba site. Œuvres LAN driver, wireless driver not working.
I have Windows 7 Ultimate (64 bit). I'm tired of searching.
Can you provide me with some useful information and links to the driver that actually works?
Thank you very much!
Can you give us more details why the WIFI driver does not work?
You get an error message?
You will find WLANs?
The wireless network card is listed in the Device Manager?
In general the WLAN driver can be downloaded here:
I reinstalled a U.S. version of Vista on a Satellite P200-1FY, and I can't get the ATI card working. ATI catalyst software is installed correctly, but in Device Manager the display driver is always "Standart VGA graphics card.
I tried to download drivers ATI the Toshiba and the site Web of AMD, but it makes no difference.
What I am doing wrong to get the video card work?
Thanks in advance,
This Satellite P200-1FY belongs to the series of PSPB6E and was delivered with the graphics card from ATI Mobility Radeon X 2600 (name of code M76).
Please use this page to European Toshiba driver download driver;
There are different series of P200. As already mentioned this notebook belongs to the series of PSPB6E and why you must choose that number of the upload form.
It seems that the ATI v8.432 display driver has changed the 14.01.2008
I have the Satellite A300-1LT with Windows XP x 64 on my system.
Most of the drivers works fine, but I can't get the wireless to work.
I tried all the drivers (intel, realtek, atheros) and nothing seams to work?
The laptop supports the Intel (Intel WiFi Link 5100AGN) WLan card then you need to install the Intel WLan card driver.
Using Windows XP 64 bit OS?
Please check this page of Portal Toshiba WLan:
Here you can find a driver:
Intel PRO/Wireless 3945/4965/5100/5300 XP 64 / 2000 220.127.116.11
It should work!
I bought this machine, but without an operating system and I have installed win7! This drug is recognized, except wireless! I can't find a driver for it! There is no any driver for WLAN on this site! Help, please!

After my laptop was repaired with a new hard drive, I installed xp instead of vista.
Now I can use the dvd rom for watching movies and install programs, but it is not accessible to any blank discs.
The error window comes out whenever I have insert the drive empty and click the dvd rom.
And the size of it always shows 0 bytes. CD or blank dvd-smoking works.
Because it's a dvd/RW rom, usually I can just open and drag any file I want on the disc and then burn easily.
I already updated the firmware driver.
I wonder what the problem of the xp system that blocks the RW function?
Check the suggestion posted by Akuma.
But, in addition, you can check if the write option is enabled in the ODD properties.
For this, go to my computer-> CD/DVD drive properties (right click / Properties) registration mark called the option activate the writing of CD on this drive
I have problems with my "FN" key
When I restart my system, everythings went well with it, but when I used about 5-10 min of my computer, I can't use FN more.
I don't know why.
Can someone help me?
I put also t know why this happens, but you can try to reinstall Toshiba Value added Package if you have Vista or Windows 7 is installed. FN keys will be controlled by this tool and the Flash Cards Support utility. Everything you can download here:
http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com > support & downloads > download drivers
But remove the old tools first. Restart the computer, and then install VAP, then Flash Cards Support utility.
I want to downgrade to XP. I have a Satellite Pro A120 PSAC1E. How should I proceed? TIA.
First of all see if all drivers are available for this machine.
You can check this link:
Then download the drivers and burn them to a CD/DVD. Back up your data on a DVD or external HARD drive.
After you have done all these things, just put the CD in your drive and install XP and then install all the drivers and you'll be lucky.
Please ask, if you have any questions...
Like many people, I didn't like Vista and so returned to the use of Windows XP.
In doing so, I lost a lot of things like the ability to watch DVDs and sound, most of these problems fixed so easily by downloading the drivers from this site.
However, even after the DVD driver download I can't read DVDs yet.
When you try to play through Windows media player I get say error message that I did not have a MPEG-2 decoder, in the section web site help, it suggests where to get one, but you have to play for each other.
After having one in the first place, I don't think I should buy a new one.
If anyone has a solution it would be greatly appretiated if they could let me know.
PS I have a Satellite L30-101
I think you have a codec problem, but I'm not sure. Maybe you should install the latest version of Media Player and codec Xvid, DivX and AC3. These are free (google it!). Or you can try alternative software, such as WinDVD or PowerDVD, you can try the demo versions.
It is an event that I went through:
(1) recently I received a bunch of updates to Vista Home Premium 32 bit, after I did the update I decided to perform sfc/scannow task and this is the error message I got the "Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files and managed to fix them." Details are provided in the CBS.log windir\logs\CBS.log newspaper. For example c:\windows\logs\CBS\CBS.log
Repair of system files change will take effect after the next reboot.
(2) so I did restart and then try to run the sfc/scannow task once again, but I still got the same message I described in step 1 again. So basically sfc/scannow function did not repair the corrupted files.
(3) the next step, I decided to perform a repair Installation of visa which took me 10 hours to complete the task, once the task of upgrading of repair has been made and before the windows update, I ran sfc/scannow task and this time he finds any corrupted files, but after I updated windows sfc/scannow result was the same as step 1.
It is obvious to me that one of the updates of the origin of this problem, but find it me hard to pinpoint that one. So I am writing this e-mail to help and I hope that the problem will soon be solved. Please let me know if you need me to submit the CBS.log file for you to review thanks in advance.
Sorry to hear that you are facing a problem due to the update of Windows. I'll certainly do my best and get the issue resolved.
I suggest you to view update history to see which update might be causing the problem.
(a) open Windows Update by clicking Start , all programs, and then Windows Update.
(b) in the left pane, click view update history.
(c) to display more information about an update, double-click it.
Once you know Update KB number, provide us with the same for later analysis. You can also try the steps in the article and see if it helps.
You can also download the files of cbs to Skydrive.
Hope this helps and let us know if you need more assistance. We will be happy to help you.

Unzip it to a folder... Use the device, right click "Audio Device on HD" Manager, choose Update driver,
Not to communicate,
Install from a list or specific location,
Select don't search, I will choose the driver to install.
For the hardware Type select 'show all devices '.
Remove control "Show compatible hardware" and click on 'disk '.
Next... Navigate to the unzipped folder and choose the "WiSVHe5.inf".
Ignore XP when it complains.
