Satellite L300 - Vista - Touchpad and USB mouse does not.

Hello

Well well after hours of trying allsorts, I post here...

Been given the laptop for repair as the touchpad no longer. No problem "I thought", simply plug a mouse usb to help me get around and re - install the touchpad... what a joke.

On the right, the USB mouse is recognized as a hid device and work, according to the Manager of devices, but not when you move it... nothing...
The Touchpad is listed as a Synaptics ps/2 touchpad and signals a Code 10 in section mouse device as well as listed as a hid and fully functional usb mouse Manager.

Right... I have...
Listed all devices, even the hidden nonpresent (devmgr_show_nonpresent_devices) and removed everything only account of any mouse, keyboards, etc...
uninstalled the software synaptics via the program Panel.
Restarted the laptop, and it starts with the touchpad is ranked again code 10 with the version of windows drivers.
Drivers up to date using two different files of Toshiba for the touchpad, still Code 10
Still, the USB mouse does not either.

Someone enlighten me please on a fix for this...

Hello

Really strange what s my friend because normally a touchpad driver update should solve the problem.

In any case, have you ever tried to use the Toshiba Recovery disk? Maybe it s just a software problem and a few important Windows files are destroyed or don t work properly. Reinstall Windows using the recovery disk Toshiba takes only a few minutes and there are already all the drivers and tools integrated. With these parameters (factory settings), the touchpad should work properly, and if not the touchpad or the motherboard needs to be replaced maybe.

Good bye

FN with F10 keys shows no reaction.
    Check all the drivers.
But cursor and escape keys does not.
    Need help please

    Joe

As far as I know, FN + F10 or FN + F11 active integrated keyboard and cursor control keys.

Satellite M70 is a fairly old machine and I do not remember which driver may be responsible for this control. Try to reinstall the Toshiba Accessibility or FN-esse utility. Maybe this will help.

I had M70 long ago, but I've never used this option.

  • Problem with wireless - Vista Network and Sharing Center does not recognize my connection!

I use the Home Visa software and my network and sharing Center does not recognize my connection but I can access the internet without any problem. Previously, I was using a wireless router Linksys with an old box of AT & T internet with no problems. The problems started after I updated my AT & T internet box that made obsolete the linksys router and now the network share does not connect. I just have the problem of getting the network and sharing device recognizing that I am actually connected to a wireless network. I can't use my printer or share files with other people. I can't get my wireless printer to work if I restart my computer and I have the documents I want printed already sent to the printer. My network and sharing Center also works very well for a few seconds when I start my computer then it turns off again.

  • Touchpad and energy savings does not-Satellite A350

    I installed Windows 7 64 on my laptop Toshiba A350 - 13 c.
During installation, I used the USB mouse. After installation I noticed that the touchpad is not working. I have downloaded the driver Synaptics for W7 toshiba download site, but it did not help. Then I downloaded the original Synaptics driver from their site, but it didn't help also. In Device Manager it is dev Touchpad pointing and it looks like I'm going to work very well. The indicates even me that synaptics tray agent. However, when I click on its icon - > Accessories-> graph of pressure (or similar name - I translated it in my lang), it returns an error message: Sorry, this program requires Synaptics TouchPad device and Synaptics pointing driver. What is going on?

I also downloaded Toshiba Value added for W7 and installed Package. HoweverPower Saver does not work (I reinstalled PVAT but he fixed nothing). On the start menu, there is no shortcut to ch, as there are shortcuts to other applications of added value package. PS the service seems to work but main program does not work when I double click on it in files\Tosh program... folder.
What is more, I got 3 unknown devices in dev Manager. I don't know what it is because all of the dev team. (except the touchpad) works very well. I also installed Intel chipset drv., Realtek HD Audio, Intel, Ati storage chart drv. but it did not help.
I guess that these 3 unknown devices can really be a device actually, because all are: primary system on bus PCI 32 device.

    Help, please.

    > I downloaded driver Synaptics for W7 toshiba download site, but it did not help
Can you please tell me where you found the Synaptics driver on Toshiba Satellite A350-13 c download page
I can t see this driver on the list.

I don't know that laptop, you used before, but since Vista Power Saver is a little different and you don't find it in the start menu, but in advanced power options.
I can't tell you much because I know not what drivers you have installed and that are lacking on the unknown devices. Just install all of them.

  • Satellite A100-062 - USB mouse does not work

    Hello

    I have a Satellite A100-062.

I've never been able to get a USB mouse to work with her.
The OS is Vista Home Premium, whenever I have plug in a USB mouse, the operating system detects a device has been connected to the USB port, but eventually the message material has not installed successfully.

So I have to rely on the touchpad, the problem seems to be limited to mice only, I've successfully used a USB webcam without incident.
I tried several USB mouse with the machine exclude a problem with my original mouse.

Has anyone else had similar problems?

    Thank you

    > So I have to rely on the touchpad, the problem seems to be limited to the mouse only, I have successfully used a USB webcam without incident.
Looks like a problem with the USB mouse and not with the laptop or with USB ports
I would recommend testing different mouse and using the other.

  • Satellite P300 - Touchpad and media keys does not

I have two problems with my Toshiba Satellite P300 19N.

First of all, a few months ago, my touchpad became completely unresponsive. I had not installed or changed something important that day. It has just stopped working while I was using the laptop. Both the buttons and the actual pad do not work. I bought a USB mouse as a temporary stopgap, but I want the problem to be resolved. Anyone have any ideas on what could be the cause and possible solutions.

This week, the media hot keys above the keyboard (next to the power switch) has stopped working. I wiped them with a cloth dry because the cell phone was dusty and the play/pause button lights but nothing happened. Now, none of the shortcut keys are sensitive and the play button stays on, even when the laptop is turned off and unplugged.

If anyone has any advice on hw to solve these two problems, I would be extremely grateful.

    JRCP salvation,

If the touchpad doesn't respond I guess what he s just disabled and you can use the key combination FN + F9 to disable/enable it.
    Check this box!

Regarding the multimedia keys that you mean that you must reinstall Toshiba Value Package added. This package contains drivers for the keys and needs to be reinstalled. In my case, it could solve the problem and you can download it here:
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com > support & downloads > download drivers

But in general the buttons be used with Windows Media Player

  • Logitech USB mouse does not work after the upgrade to Windows 7

I have a HP Pavilion DV6XXX laptop computer series (MS Vista Home Premium has been loaded from the factory), recently updated with Windows 7 Home Premium.  It is then this problem began.

Wherever I am, everything I do (typing, surfing, reading) my cursor made a break of about 3 seconds, 26-28 seconds.  This interruption is making me crazy!  Everything what I'm typing, the cursor becomes unavailable for 3 seconds.  Everything I typed is gone.

My laptop has a touchpad, but I use a Logitech USB mouse.  I can't disable my touchpad, but that does not change.  In addition, it is matter if I type or not: my cursor disappears for 3 seconds, 26-28 seconds.  I can sit and watch it.  I have disabled the touchpad, unplugged the USB mouse, find the updated HP drivers and Synaptics to nothing does not.

    Looking for other suggestions.

  • Re: Satellite L655 - the Touchpad on/off button does not work

This morning, I noticed that the power button of the touchpad of my Satellite does not, although the Fn + F9 key combination works by enabling and disabling my touchpad.

It was working well until what I slept last night when I woke up, my laptop has rebooted due to updates of Windows during the night. I don't read anything since I have been using a wireless mouse. Then reach work and check if I can activate my touchpad (Windows has loaded and connected), the display screen that shows if the touchpad is active or not does not appear and my touchpad, power button does not work.

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Thank you.

    Is this problem only you?
I mean it's not so important, and I would not reinstall or change anything because of this.
Until you can use the FN + F9 key combination I put t think it's a serious problem.

What do you think of this?

Satellite SM30-604. Laptop has left the mat from one day to the next and overheated! Fan won't spin and laptop start only occasionally. Thinking that the fan was fault I replaced the fan but even this new fan doesn't spin. The heat sink is totally clean - dust free inside the fins at all. The laptop is only 2 years.

Cooling using forced (by sticking a nozzle of aspiration to the output of the cooling fan!) the laptop starts sometimes as normal until the desktop screen with all of the usual icons and no error message. But then, it does not further - the freezing of the screen, keyboard and mouse.

    Hello, Charlie

As you know on this path is not easy to give an accurate diagnosis, but according to your assignment, I guess there is a complex problem and unit must be properly verified. I also think that there must be a problem with the electronics.

It is really possible that the motherboard needs to be replaced but, as I already said, it is not possible to say something specific about your problem. Try contacting Asp and you will see what they say.
