Satellite L300 will not charge upward
I have a L300 ve won t open upward, I tried doing auto repair, but he gets to half way through and it freezes everything. I tried the re-boot s disk but I ve had no joy.
Now I've taken to a computer repair shop who said that the hard drive is faulty.
Think you guys is that correct?
If you were not able to install the OS by using the original Toshiba Recovery DVD, it is possible that the HARD drive is faulty.
Change the HARD drive is not complicated and you can do it alone.
In the lower corner, you will see HDD cover. Remove and gently move HDD to the side, then you can remove it completely.
Buy the same one, built in HARD drive caddy and put back into the laptop.
Use the recovery again disk and install OS.
I have a new battery and I tried my old battery and another charger but my Satellite L300 load will always be not.
If I unplug it then plug the charger back in it appear to be responsible for about 20 seconds.
Can someone help pleas
If you have tried different batteries and new AC adapter and the battery still wouldn't load, then I would say; This s hardware problem of the motherboard.
I think that there is no much do the defective part needs to be replaced
I think that the ASP must verify the material, you know
It of the best way to get the issue resolved.
My Satellite L300 will not let me connect unless I'm in safe mode and when I go to advanced options it just comes up with a blue screen
Who knows what's the problem here?
Maybe you should install new OS. You can enter boot options using F8 at startup?
Repair my computer option is available?
I have ned to help. My Satellite A100 will not charge the battery. He works the power adaptor for the led indicates charging status, battery shows 1% of loading tatus information, but none does change - no loading any time. When disconnected everything just stops off like normal desktop.
I've already put battery in and out, made upgrades to the antivir software, makes Toshiba controls, tests, but what ever he did did not any change. If there is no way for restoration of battery how to check what the problem is I have no second battery or AC I can always buy new batttery but I don't know if the old one is broken and weather new would work properly?
I agree with the user above. The battery can be charged only up to 500 times, and after that, it must be replaced. I think it's the case now, I mean that everything works correctly on the AC adapter so I think that the battery must be the reason for this.
By the way: you can buy a new battery to an authorized service provider. ;)
L300 I used for 2 1/2 years has now developed fault because it will run when it is connected to the power supply - it won't start Windows. Laptop will charge of battery and then as usual using the battery. Then when connect it powers down and no sector will not start Windows.
It is fine if I want to use that 2 hours and then recharge the battery and restart then disconnected from the main supply - which I did not I can't keep charging every 2 hours.
I have reloaded windows with all updates of nominal and have tried to use different power adapter - same question.
I do not understand why the L300 charges & works by using the battery, but does not work when it is connected to the power supply?
Has anyone else had a similar problem? or knows how to solve?
Do I need a BIOS update? or is it a more serious problem that does not work the power regulator?
> Laptop will charge of battery and then as usual using the battery
Hmm its strange usually if the AC adapter is defective, then s battery should not charge it is difficult to believe that this matter would be linked to the faulty adapter. In my opinion it of mobo problem and the solution might be an expensive
I have a rather old L300 series which I'll put up like a computer diagnostic car dedicated. It does not attempt to start up, at all. I changed the RAM (2 GB) and hard drive (XP system) both with new components. The original, Vista hard drive, is in rude health.
When you turn it on, the fan works, but nothing on the screen or the LEDs, I did the obvious things, any other ideas?
My Toshiba Satellite L300 series shot tools. I changed disk cards and hard memory, put new components in both cases. Thinking that maybe the BIOS battery, I put the machine in charge. Nothing.
When I turn on, the led lights green power as does the charging light when it is connected, then the fan starts. It is not "beep" to indicate the beginning of the start, nor does the HDD LED light. The battery is old, but still has enough power for 30 minutes running. On battery? Similarly.
I did the standard things here, any ideas as to what I can do? I'm talented mechnically but computers are a book closed for me.
I have problem with my Satellite L300.
I can't charge the battery.
The power in the always10% battery level
The indicator display: plugged and charge, and the battery LED is orange.
Thanks for your help
I think your laptop is a little older right?
Well, I think that the battery is faulty this is nothing unusual and can happen after a long period of use.
My old battery cannot load as well, but in my case, it does not matter because I always use the power adapter.
So in your case I recommend to replace the battery with a new one.
Please check the label on the back of the battery it is a reference number that helps you identify the right battery for this laptop.
My Toshiba Satellite L300 won't start after installing Skype.
This happened to someone else, and can I do?
I think Skype is probably the most used messenger and ideal application for communication.
It is professionally designed and programmed. As you know in recent years, it has been offered in many different versions and it is always better and better.
So I think that Skype itself is probably not the problem. I know that a lot of people also use Skype and I've never heard problem described.
Anyway, what you can try is to remove Skype and try to install it again. Try also push the BONES at that earlier time. Maybe some Microsoft updates are responsible for the stability of the software.
It's really not easy to say what the problem is here.
I gave up the laptop and after that not get battery. Laptop works fine with battery only. I opened the laptop to find if it is something dislodged. But everything was fine. I checked the power comes up to the motherboard. But do not charge the battery.
For more information, I opened only Panel keyboard and down to reach the power supply cord. I can see the top section of the motherboard page where I checked that power is reached.
Any body can help?
> Can any body help?
I think that the material must be scanned for potential problems.
I can only speculate on the defective parts
It could be the power problem or something is broken on the motherboard, but its most of the time impossible to say what's wrong here
So get in touch with a local Toshiba authorized service guy to check this.
When I try to open the muse he will not load. It says I need to connect, but gives me an error msg.
Please follow the steps mentioned in this document:
I have a M100 and the battery won't charge while it is running.
The battery starts to charge when I plug in the adapter and the orange light comes on. 10 seconds later it stops charging.
If the battery has more than 90% of the costs it wll the rest very well.
I have three batteries that all do the same thing on this computer. All three batteries are working fne on my other M series.
When the computer is off, it loads very well.
Why is it so?
I think that the problem of charging the battery is about the problem of portable equipment.
Maybe it's something s wrong with electronic power supply or another part on the motherboard.
I doubt that the problem could be solved by updating the BIOS but you should definitely check if you are using the latest version of the BIOS update and test again
If that does not help, then you should get in touch with a local service for verification of equipment technician
But note; If it s the question of the motherboard, the motherboard needs to be replaced and it would be a costly affair
Whenever I turn on my laptop, it shows me two options: start windows normally or perform a system repair.
I tried both of these options, but I can't seem to access the page where I have to enter my password to access my desktop, I tried a number of things by pressing F8 during startup, including startup repair up to and restore to the previous point, but nothing happened.
I have the vista operating system and it seems to freeze immediately after loading (the long rectangular bar with the Green thing from left to right, saying Microsoft Corp. below). It freezes... the page is all black and my cursor is there, I can move the cursor, but nothing is there to click on. HDD/ODD lights do not Flash indicating that the laptop is not all 'work '.
In addition, it took me to a page where he was "collection of data for the crashdump"... don't know what this means but yes and it also took me to a page where it says 'one of your disks should be checked for consistency. He also posted a message saying that the registry file failure does not load. Systemreboot/System32/config/system
I start it in safe mode and it shows a bunch of files and says please wait.
After my computer goes on a blank page (all black) but I can see and move my cursor and it is bigger than usual so I guess he's about to go to safe mode, but just, he remains on the screen and does nothing else.
He was about 35 minutes and it's still at this screen, that nothing has changed.
Thanks for your help :)
Try to recover the device by using the drive HARD recovery option.
I hope you didn t change anything on the HARD drive recovery partition.
HARD drive recovery allows you to reinstall the operating system without the use of all disks!
Turn on the device, press F8, choose repair my computer and choose the option to drive HARD recovery.
Usually, it would begin the new installation of the OS. But note; HARD drive recovery option would be to format the whole HARD drive, which means that you will lose all files stored on the HARD drive.
It worked a few days ago... now it's as if the drive does not exist.
When I bought the laptop the same thing happening with the webcam... they had to reinstall my laptop and I lost everything. I don't want to do it again.
Have you tested the SD card in another PC?
Have you tried a different SD card in the L300?
Have you checked the SD card reader in Device Manager?
I have a problem with my laptop.
I have windows Vista installed.
I try to boot a Linux Live-CD, but after I pressed the power button, I see the logo Toshiba Leading Innovation.
When I press F2 or F12, nothing happens the computer laptop stops booting, even the HDD light flashes).
I can't get into the BIOS!
If I do not press a button any after power on, then Windows Vista starts Ok.
Two months after F12 I could choose the Boot by USB - entrance.
Please, help me to solve it.
When you see the Toshiba logo on the screen you see in the background statement: Press F2...?
This happens for the first time?
Might have turned quick-start option?
Check this please. Open Toshiba assist > optimize > HWsetup > boot priority > make sure bot speed is set to normal.
Last night my Equium A210 17I turns off during use. Despite several attempts to reboot, it just does not start. When I turn it on I get the message "Windows is loading files". This continues for a few minutes, then the following information is displayed on the screen...

1. Insert your windows installation disc and restart your computer.
2. choose your language settings, and then click "Next".

I never received an installation disc with my laptop I bought from PC World about 2 years ago. Can I buy one?
I hope someone can help.
Hmm. maybe you didn t receive the recovery disk because the restore disc could be created using the preinstalled Toshiba recovery disc creator
I guess you have never activated your user manual. I m right?
In any case, perhaps you can order the CD from here:
