  The laptop is a Satellite L300D-13 s.

  I tried to restore the laptop using the restore discs, the first disc has worked well, but he did not recognize the second disk. No matter what I have I could not get to read this disc.

  Recovery procedure can be performed on two tracks:
  -Via recovery CD/DVD or
  -From the HDD recovery procedure

  If there is problem with the created discs, then you should try to use the second option. It works as follows:
  -Start your laptop and press F8 for Advanced Startup Options
  -Here you will see the option to fix my computer
  -Choose this option and follow the on-screen menu.
  -Then, you will encounter the system recovery options
  -The last option is the Toshiba recovery procedure. Select it and follow the on-screen menu.

  Please note: this will work if you didn t change partition structure, installed OS clean or deleted the folder HDDRecovery.

  At the end I have to say, if nothing helps, and if you are not able to install the OS by using one of these methods I see a solution only: you must order the new recovery DVDs.

  As far as I know Satellite L300D-11Z belongs to the series of PSLC0E and is therefore no XP drivers on the Toshiba site available.

  But if you're looking for without model number or let's say for all models L300D you can find XP drivers. Have you tested these drivers?

  The Satellite L300D isn t a bad laptop but it s not a laptop of game as a Qosmio.

  I think you can play a lot of games on this laptop. Older games, you can play new games in medium or high quality, but is only on the lowest quality settings.
  Especially of GTA 4 needs a lot of performance, and as far as I know the first game that needs high quality a quad core CPU.

  Other games do you mean should not be a problem to play on this laptop.
