Satellite L300D: black screen during boot - stuck on classpnp.sys & repair

Hi I have 3 year old Toshiba L300D.
1 year back I upgraded vista to windows 7 Home premium.

3 days back I had problem - my windows start page was hanged and was not forward, also all types of safe mode was stuck on classpnp.sys.

After reading many forums, I started with USB (with windows 7) and use command prompt and all 'pcmcia' realted deleted files from drive C. Now using function F8

I can't use any option (all the safe mode option, low resolution, restarting, etc. doesn't work, even in the Bios configuration changes will not work). Also now start my PC with USB, after the start of the windows black screen page appears with the white arrow and it will not go further this black screen so I can't even use now guest & installation option.

Now, I don't know what to do :(
Any help will be appreciated :)

Hello

The classpnp.sys seems to belong to «service Plug & Play of Windows 7»
Connect USB devices to the laptop?
Try to start the unit without the connected USB devices.

In the worst case, you have to reinstall the OS using the recovery disk if F8 and all other Repair Options would not work.
But in my view inevitable painful s

-Caps lock does not respond when you press him.
-No hard drive light not flashing.
-Power LED light and adapter lights up constantly.

Please can someone give me some advice.

    Hello

For me, it looks like serious hardware problem.
What you can do is to test the device with an external monitor:
Connect the external display and check if you see something like start screen for Toshiba, etc if you see something like that, then internal laptop screen is defective and must be replaced if not if nothing would seem-> the related problem of the motherboard.

  • Satellite L300D - black screen on startup

Hi guys, I need help please. On Thursday, I was on my computer and noticed that the weather was bad, I thought I have to do something wrong and were going to remedy. I went to my computer, but it wouldn't boot just had a black screen. I knew that I didn't damage the display. After a bit of research on Google I read to take out the battery and plug the charger in and low and behold, it worked!

Friday, I charged my battery for an hour and put it in the computer and that worked too so I thought that the problem has been resolved.

Unfortunately today my computer does not start with or without the battery to still get the black screen. Fan runs but apart from that very quiet sound. I tried putting the cd in see if that would be nothing, but it didn't.

    Any suggestions please?

    Try this:
Unplug the AC adapter and the battery. Press the power button / stop along 30 sec.
Connect the battery and the AC adapter and turn on unit t - it work?
If this is not the case, connect an external monitor and check if something would be visible on 2nd screen
If anything wouldn't show so I suppose you ve you have a motherboard serious hardware problem

  • Satellite L300D - black screen

Hello, I'm new here, I have a problem with my 3 year old * Toshiba L300D.*
Today I started my computer without an attaché of the mouse (I have some problems with the touchpad), I searched for some documents, found them and closing the laptop with + alt + f4 - stop +. Everything was ok, I used to work without a mouse, but after a few hours, I decided to start the laptop to copy documents on a USB key, but this time the * computer has not started, fans are up, the power led is green *, HQ is green (if I plug the power adapter) * and the battery is orange * (if the power adapter is connected). Do I have to mention is... that I use this laptop very well, and the battery was not customary for almost 1 year. I have updated the bios to the latest version of the bios, Insyde toshiba a while ago website, everything was fine, so far.

Another thing, _I have no beeps or nothing_, the * screen is black * until I stopped pc (remove the battery or the AC adapter), the power button 30 + s dosen't also affect the laptop, if I remove the two ram module the computer just reboots, nothing else. I disassembled the laptop, the motherboard seems ok, the HARD drive is ok, I managed to copy my files with a HARD drive rack.

I don't know what else to do. _Also if I turn on the laptop now F computer, the computer stops and the computer turns on again. _

If I understand you right display is dead, black, no reaction, no? You don't see anything on the screen?
I put t know if you can do but try to connect external monitor to your laptop just to see if there is a reaction on external display.
    > Also if I turn on the laptop now F computer...
Why F? What would happen if you hold the F key at startup?

  • Satellite L850D: Black screen - no boot, no post OFFICE, no external display

I tried every remedy known that I could find on the internet for this problem, apart from try to reflow the double graphics chips that are on this machine, which in my mind is a Toshiba design flaw as the heat sink covers only one of the two graphics chips on this model of the Toshiba L850D , and it seems totally wrong because of transferrence of heat and the many problems that I met with the graphics chip overheating of other manufactureres, even if they have some heat sinks covering their graphics chips.

I studied the internet for well over a week and, so far, no one has given an answer to anyone who is / was or had this problem, which seems to relate to other models as well.

I found a thread of January 2014 detailing this particular issue, but there was no response provided to correct.
I don't know if this is allowed, but the relevant thread to this specific question is provided: -.

Model real that I have here is the Toshiba Satellite L850D, model PSKGEA-003001 number and card mother specific number H000052650 WKC - 51 revision 2.1 or 7054D2745F87.

These seem to be so hard to find (or maybe should be off) even on eBay, so wonder if it is a Toshiba FU that they no longer use Dual Graphics chips without a heatsink on the two?

Have found the same style advice on eBay, being a WKC29 H000051780 and H000050830 WKC32, but all other seem to be back to an integrated graphics card or what appears to be the embedded processor?

Marketing I tried without HDD, changed the existing RAM, switched slots, out of ODD, removed RAM and got the beep codes saying ' Hey? Where is the RAM? ', but nothing... External monitor does not work, said only: "check video cable".

This all started when the only key that worked once a young user (their son) has decided to remove the files from the laptop of his deceased father and the laptop wouldn't start, which was due to a too many deletions, which creates a file system error.

When I got the machine to fix, the only key that cost labor was F2 for BIOS (due to disk problems HARD o/s)... F8 safe mode does not work, so I changed the BIOS to ODD as the first start, but again, it went straight to the error of loading of the operating system (due to HARD drive problems).

Hirens Boot CD loads tried, but failed, along withr than any other CD/DVD placed in the ODD (which also failed even before I tried to change the BIOS settings).
Except for the replacement of the motherboard, I am totally confused, but at this point in time, I can't even check if HDD fires up on top of the replacement, when the mother less expensive I can get is around $300 - $ 350.

Has anyone found the answer to this challenge that other users have successfully?
Seems a waste if it's just a chip.

Have also tried remove BIOS/CMOS Battery and left for a day or two (or more), but no change.
Would appreciate any help you can provide.

    Appreciate any help.
    Thank you
    Daryl

    Hi Daryl,

The problem described (no boot, no post) can happen to any portable computer because this problem can be caused by faulty RAM or motherboard.

I guess in most cases, the motherboard is perhaps the troublemaker if replacement RAM has not helped get the laptop running.

But I guess that the card mother isn t the best replacement option in the case where the mandate of isn t valid because the new part is very expensive and I guess that it s not worth replacing.

But of course it s your own decision

    Stand by. Why safe mode?

  • Black screen during startup

I have a HP m9520f I bought a month ago. From time to time, it gives me a black screen when booting. The computer is on, but nothing happens. When I unplug the power cord and plug usually once again, it starts fine the next time. I tried solutions suggested by pressing F8 during startup. But nothing is going on (it started normally without any problem).

The clues and suggestions are appreciated.

Could be an intermittent hardware failure, try to open the housing, cleaning (using canned air) all, remove and reinstall the RAM and check the connections are secure. However, first, check the screen. Is the cable correctly connected at both ends, and the power cable is safe? You could test if it's not for lack of a monitor, if you have a keyboard with a sleep button, to set market and that, if the screen goes black, wait at least 10 minutes until it would have normally received at the logon screen. Then, press the sleep button and see if she falls asleep. Also watch the disk activity; If there is a lot that the operating system is probably start normally.

I have internet search and it seems to be a common problem for many different reasons - ideas - Ive tried more things ive read without success. Help please

    Hello Kiwivic,

    Thank you for the question!

I'm sorry to know that have problems you with the Installation of Windows 8. As I understand it, you get a black screen during the Installation of Windows 8.

I need to ask you some questions to help you best.

    1. What is the brand and model of the computer?

2 are the external devices connected to the computer?

Method 1: disconnect any external devices (except keyboard and mouse) and then install Windows 8 and check.

Method 2: Select the edge device devices in device/integrated graphic of BIOS (Basic Input output device) and check.

Warning: Be careful when you change the BIOS settings. The BIOS interface is designed for advanced users, and it is possible to change a setting that can prevent your computer from starting properly. BIOS update should be made only if necessary (to solve a compatibility problem, for example). It can be a complicated process, and if an error occurs, your computer could be rendered inoperative. Be sure to observe the instructions of the manufacturer.

  • Satellite A300 - black screen, Win7 is not booting

I was working on my Toshiba A300 when suddenly Microsoft Security Essentials detected a threat, after cleaning it asked me to restart my laptop, after restart, it shows only the TOSHIBA screen with F2 and F12 options, but after that, else nothing happens. There is only a black screen, not even a cursor or anything like that.

Nothing else happens, I tried to insert Win 7 bootable disc to repair the operating system, but my laptop does not seem to start through the drive, I checked the boot order in the BIOS settings, but still nothing, it does not accept the disk/USB nothing at all, it is not even go into safe mode by pressing F8 key continues to beep when I press any key regularly , I'm stuck & useless what to do, kindly help.

It seems that the system on the HARD disk has been confused upwards and you will need to reinstall new OS.

    > I tried to insert Win 7 bootable disc to repair the operating system, but my laptop does not seem to start through the disk
Insert the floppy disk. Then power on and press F12. Now, choose ODD (optical disc) as the boot device and press ENTER.

The laptop boot from the CD?
If this isn't the case, you should check if the laptop could start from any other bootable disk. This is necessary because you need to know if his problem of disk problem drive or an optical disc.

  • Black screen on boot - Toshiba Satellite M70

    Hi all

I have Toshiba Satellite M70, I need help, and I will describe my problem:

-A few days my screen went black all of a sudden, I don't know how do I was away from the laptop.
-Until yesterday, when I start my laptop, it gives me the black screen all the time but when I put to sleep by closing the laptop for a few seconds and then I click the button, my screen starts showing very well until my next restart and I do it again (I usually keep my laptop running almost 18 hours) which means that there is a lot of time on my next boot)
-But today I started too many times, it gives me the black screen and the sleep mode no longer works. But several times today when I tried to start, the display shows the Toshiba screen for only 1 second then black alley again.

PS You can see almost threw the black screen just if there is a Sun facing the laptop.

    Thank you in advance,
    Best regards
    Mr. Mher Krikorian

    > You can see almost threw the black screen just if there is a Sun facing the laptop
    This is very useful information
I think that the problem is related to the FL inverter
FL-converter is a small part that controls the backlight of the display.
If this part starts to malfunction so you would see everything as behind a thick fog

In my view the FL inverter must be checked and replaced if necessary
This, to get in touch with a local service technician

    Welcome & happy new year!

  • Satellite P200D - black screen and does not just by running

    Hello everyone, I have a Toshiba Satellite P200D - 107 PSPBLE with configuration set-aside:

    Processor: Turion x 2 TL - 52 64-bit clocked at 1.6 Ghz
    Display: 17.3 inch
Graphics card: Ati radeon x 1200
    RAM: 2 x 512 MB ram (1 GB total) which I upgraded to 1 x 2000 MB and 1 x 512 MB (for a total of 2.5 GB)
OS: FACTORY CD WINDOWS VISTA HOME PREMIUM 32-BIT
Power: Running on the direct power without the battery cable

Although the pc is quite old sound fundamentally new barely there 1 year of normal use on it.

    PROBLEM:

The screen goes black (no), even if the screen still has the backlight running, the laptop is still under tension, but its basically in a kind of deep hibernation with the fan running yet.
The laptop screen turns off 5-10 minutes after windows loads, even if in idle, it also stops during installation of the operating system.
I tried to run the music and the music stops when the screen goes black made all the hard disk activity which I believe indicates that it is not related to the video chip.

    TRIED SO FAR:

    1. open up the computer laptop and cleaned all dust processor, now CPU temp is 50 max, even for hard disk
    2. update the bios to the original to 1.70 - did not help
3 connected external monitor also stops it the same time as the laptop screen indicating it is not not a screen issue
    4 reinstall OS several times
5 tested memory with memtest64 - no error
    6. test the hard drive with hddregenerator - no error

    What I've noticed:

If I leave just a 512 MB of ram in the laptop then the laptop stops not at all even in windows applications, tried to launch a game to remove video card and it works without problem for hours, but as soon as I add the stick of 2 GB or another origianal 512 stick it will go inside the black screen 5-10 min (or earlier) to get into windows.

He never stops in dos mode (as in memtest, hddregen) even with 2.5 GB of ram.

After that the screen goes black, if I stopped and then try to save, it it won't work at all, the screen stays black with the fan spinning and boot CD, I must absolutely disconect the power cord power and re - set before it starts again.

Anyone has any ideas, I am experienced with the pc, but have never stumbled upon something so weird that I have just can't explain this problem that came straight from heaven.

Toshiba to wake up, this forum is a total joke, you would think that you would be able to afford hiring a bunch of technicians to actually help people rather than rely on the users of the forum to do your work for your, you don't need to have a forum, if you don't have the staff to actually help people solve their problems.

  • Satellite C650 - black screen after BIOS update

My Satellite C650 Windows 7 - won't start afte BIOS update / switch.

Everything worked very well until the automatic update of Toshiba asked me to download and install the new BIOS update, I did. At the same session Windows and McAfee asked updated. I agreed to all. After all updates have been installed, turns off. The next day when I walk, I see only black screen. I also tried F2, F12 and drive recovery. Nothing happens!

    Any recommendation?

    Hey,.

It seems that something was wrong during the update of the BIOS and so that you can t the computer unbootable. But I put t understand why you did the BIOS update. If everything works correctly, you can forget about this update. More if you do a BIOS update you shouldn't t run any other updates or programs that might affect the update of the BIOS.

Anyway, in this case you can do nothing and you need professional help. Please contact an authorized service provider and guys can help you update the ROM module On the Web from Toshiba site, you can find a list of all the FSA:

  • Satellite A300 - black screen after long race

I have Toshiba Satellite A300 1 portable PC series since 2008.

It worked fine until the last few days. 2 days back when I started, it works fine until I go to bed (about 4-5 hours).
"" I put my computer on and I slept, when I woke up in the morning, seen the button works / stop light is lit, "plugged in", "lit", "battery" all the lights are on but black screen of the tower.

I moved the mouse, you press the mouse, press the SPACEBAR, enter keys on the keyboard, but nothing of this fact the live screen.
I checked the fan works and the machine is hot normally.

I noticed the CPU/HDD LED does not blink, the fact does not illuminate.

The day before yesterday was also even, but after that restart was again very well.
yesterday also repeated the same thing.
Today also repeated the same thing.

Please note my power saving mode: hip - turn off monitor - 1 minutes, turn the HARD drive - never.

This setting is for last 2-3 years and normally off the monitor used to live on the movement of the mouse / key pressing.

Can someone please help me figure out why my screen goes black after a night or more running morning.

    Thanks in advance

Generally screen should turn off, but the laptop must continue to work.
It is not easy to tell what happened.
Can happen that laptop did restart because of a windows update installation?
Some applications are active during the night? Some download or something similar?
