  In my opinion, something goes wrong during the update of the BIOS, and so the entire computer doesn t start anymore. All updates are pre-tested by Toshiba, so I doubt that only the screen isn't working anymore.

  You should try to remove the battery and unplug the AC adapter for an hour. Then install the battery and plug in the AC adapter. Make sure the battery is fully charged and then try to start your laptop.

  Generally these codes beeps mean that a hardware malfunction has been detected if you changed something on the hardware configuration?

  If you have installed both memory modules, you must test it with the single module only. Sometimes it happens that the RAM modules are faulty then try it with a module only. Maybe it helps :)

  Off normally last night, when I turned it on today the screen remains empty. I plugged it up to external montior and that works very well, I have only checked in the Manager device and theres no conflict not showing. The screen is not black, it's like the backlight is he more gray work as soon as the computer is turned on. Also, when I try to change the resolution using the external monitor, the screen flickers like its trying to change but he always comes back to gray.

  I doubt that you could replace is it s a job to a service technician.
  The FL Inverter control the backlight of the screen and if it s faulty, you will see everything as behind a thick fog

  I have a Toshiba Satellite A135-S2276, I bought 2 years ago. It worked fine except the clock which has never kept the exact time since I bought it. I turned it off Sunday night as I do regularly. I ve tried to take the battery and back, press and hold the power button for 30 seconds +, but nothing seems to work. What else could I try? My laptop is a Toshiba Satellite L300D.

  It may be a problem with one of your memory modules, if you have two memory cards in your laptop try just using one at a time, but if you have only one then you need to test with another.

  I'm going out of my mind: o.

  My Satellite L300D-11 has been delivered with a Windows Vista Home Premium, but I recently did a clean installation of Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit.

  Since then, I have had problems with 'Blue error screen' come randomly. Bought and installed a registry clean program, but that did not fix the problem. Anyone else with this problem - and a possible solution.

  And now, my big problem. My CD and DVD drive crazy me; (o) it's a rug * a DVD-RAM UJ-850 s ATA and my internet research I found that many carpet * an owners have had the same or similar problems. My drive won't regonize or CD play/play. DVD with videos or programs, I can play. CD burning is not possible and DVD burning is sometimes work and other times not.

  I have read on different patches is displayed - also here on the Toshiba - not of the suggested solutions forum works for me - the new solutions I could try.

  Seriously think about buying a USB external DVD drive - but can be it someone please tell me why Toshiba does not get their B fingers * and find a solution as it sews Sony did it.

  I understand that it was ok with your laptop before installing Windows 7. It is so related to hardware problem software. Can you tell if it was original iso of windows 7 or the Assembly. Have you installed all the drivers for the Toshiba driver page and the maintenance of the right installation order? What burning software do use?

  Have you done this procedure mentioned in this forum:

  Go to Device Manager and remove the drive from the list of devices CD/DVD.
  Then access the registry and delete the Upperfilters and Lowerfilters completely from the following registry key values:

  HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Class {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}

  Reboot the laptop and wait for the CD/DVD drive would appear once again

  Normally the battery saving mode (stand-by) has nothing to it. On my Satellite L300, it works correctly and I often use this mode.

  In any case, it would be interesting to know if you can see an image on an external monitor. The internal monitor FL inverter is may be defective and so it does not show an image... Who knows? ?:|

  Hmmm... never heard of it. It happens when you connect any type of external device via USB port? I just want to know if it is some kind of general problem.

  If is not always fix this, there may be Os related issue.

  You can also try a program called, Driver Sweeper, to remove the nvidia display driver and reinstall a driver to display again
