  • Satellite L300D - upgrade from Vista to Windows 7

    Hello

So any body can help me?

    Hey Buddy,

The Web site you want to say is no longer available because there was an upgrade offers for some laptops but this offer isn't available more.

So if you want to upgrade to Windows 7, you can buy a disc of Microsoft Windows 7, then you can start with the Windows 7 upgrade.

If you have any other questions, please let us know.

  • Satellite Pro C650 - upgrade Windows 7 32 bit to 64 bit

Ive bought a Satellite Pro C650 with Pentium duo core and 8 GB ram. I did the initial start upward according to the instructions, but the PC work as 32-bit and I do not have access to the total ram.
Obviously, I need to upgrade to a 64-bit system to take advantage of all the ram. Ive done the checks of system and it indicates that the PC is capable of running the 64-bit. The more I read more confused I get.

Should I upgrade from Home Premium to something else?
Do I lose all settings, etc. on the PC?
In truth, Ive got no idea what to do from here.

  • Satellite P300 - upgrade Windows 7 could not be done.

    Hello

I have a problem to upgrade Windows Vista Edition family of Windows 7 Home Edition 64-bit. I followed the upgrade process includes the 3 parts of the Guide to upgrade Windows. Part 1 was successful, but when I was doining part 2 (insert the Microsoft Windows 7 upgrade DVD) I get an error message upgrading to 64-bit could not be done.

Now, I have installed Windows 7 with 32-bit on my E: partition. But this isn't what I want and what it should be. I want to update my Windows Vista 64-bit Edition of Windows 7 Home edition 64-bit, and then I want to buy an upgrade to Windows 7 Professional 64-bit.

  • Satellite T230 - Downgrade Windows 7 64 bit to 32 bit

    Hello

Can you please help. Just a week before I bought the Toshiba Satellite T230-10j. The laptop comes with Windows 7 64-bit edition. It has the recovery partition and no other support provided with the same. Is it possible to downgrade from 64-bit to 32-bit OS. If so can someone please provide the *.wim image. There are a many applications doesnot support 64 - bit os and the only way for me would be the Windows 7 32 bit.

Can someone guide me how to proceed further with this.

    Kind regards

    Hi mate

As much as I know the laptop won't was delivered with any disk recovery because you could create a clean recovery disc image using the Toshiba Recovery creator software that was preinstalled on your laptop.

In addition if you want to downgrade the Win 7 64 bit to 32 bit then you will need to purchase the 32 bit version.

    Hey Buddy,

You can install all but point important concerns the drivers you need...

You can check for the drivers here:
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp

As you can see, there is no 64-bit Windows 7 driver but for Vista 64-bit all the drivers available.
What it means? Well, most Vista drivers are also running Windows 7 so I put t see a problem using Windows 7 64 bit. At least it would be interesting to try ;)

  • Satellite L450D upgrade Windows 7 to Windows 10

Yesterday, I downloaded the Windows 10 (64 bit) upgrade after checking to make sure that my laptop is compatible and eligible.

I downloaded the upgrade on my machine (not a USB - could be the mistake that I did there?) and started the upgrade which seemed to go well.

He restarted at the end of installation and came up with a screen saying that the BCD could not be found (error 0xc000000f) and don't show this screen at startup. I have the Toshiba recovery disc and put it in the machine, however it does not give an option to repair, just reformat the partition and reinstall Windows 7. The only thing I have on the machine is about 11 GB of photos which I'm desperate not to lose because they are my little boy.

The data partition (drive D :) has a number of records on this subject, with the last of 2013 as I haven't used the phone as much as I'm mainly a Mac user at home now. The pictures would be possibly recorded on this partition as part of the Toshiba backup feature? If so then I'll be happy to reformat and reinstall Windows, but of course, I don't want to do if they aren't there I can't really lose these pictures.

Happy to provide more information if necessary.

    Help, please.

    Thank you

    Norm

Did you also check if your phone model is supported for Win10 (Toshiba specification)? Probably not, right?

Recovery image is for a clean installation of recovery and has nothing to do with the repair of the BONE, especially not with the Win10 most recent. Using the recovery disk you can reinstall the original recovery image only and start using your laptop with factory settings again. Using the recovery disk that all your saved data can be deleted.

To save your order, you can remove the HARD drive and connect it as external device to the other PC and copy all your data (backup). After having done that, put it and reinstall original recovery using recovery disc image.

  • Is it possible to upgrade Windows XP 32 bit to Windows 7 64 bit?

    Original title: Windows 7

I have a Windows XP 32-bit SP3.  I also have a computer laptop vista 64 bit that I've upgraded to Windows 7 64 bit. two years later it crashed. I read on the internet the other day that Microsoft would cease to support XP. My question is can I put my XP 32 bit CPU with a Wdw 7 64-bit OS?

    No. two points:

    1. you can't do an update from XP to 7. You must either make a
Clean first installation or an upgrade to double - Vista, then 7. I have
recommend to do a double upgrade, because it doubles
    the risk of problems.

    2. you can't do any kind of update that changes the number of 'bits' of
Windows from 32 bit to 64 bit or vice versa.
So for these two reasons, a new facility would be necessary.

However, even if a new facility is possible, I recommend
against it since your time material XP is almost certainly elsewhere
underpowered to run Windows 7 without problem. And the purchase and upgrading of all
the necessary equipment is likely to cost more than simply buy a new
a computer that comes with Windows 7.

And another point. Switching from XP to Windows 7 will three
old versions to an old version. In my opinion, it would be much better to
Go to Windows 8, the current version.

  • Can I upgrade Windows Vista 32-bit to Windows Vista 64 - Bit and preserve everything?

I have a computer with Windows Vista 32 - Bit OS.  I have also 4 GB of RAM, but as the OS is 32-bit, he acknowledges that 3 out of 4 GB.  So, my question is, can I upgrade to a version 64 bit Vista and preserve files and programs, or what I have to buy a copy of Windows Vista 64-bit?

    Thank you

    Hello.

No.; You cannot switch from 32-bit to 64-bit.

It must be done with a new installation of the 64-bit operating system.

There has never been a way to upgrade.

You should backup your data, copy it into the 64 bit OS and reinstall all your programs

    Microsoft sells more than Vista.

And before you buy Windows 7:

Go to your computer / computer laptop manufacturer Web site and see if Windows 7 drivers are available for your make and model computer / laptop.

If this is not available, Windows 7 will not properly work for you.

Run the "Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor.

    http://www.Microsoft.com/en-US/Download/details.aspx?ID=20

Check if your specifications are compatible for Windows 7:

    "Windows 7 system requirements"

"Windows 7 Compatibility Center" for software and hardware:

And the Microsoft Store where you can get an idea of the price of Windows 7:
