Satellite L350 - 16L system restarts when you run with power cord plugged

Satellite L350 - 16L
32 bit windows 7 ultimate sp1

Power cable is connected, start the start, and just at the point where desktop should appear, the system restarts.
When the system is running on battery, everything works fine.
When the system boots to battery, works very well, and if I plug in the power cable, the system hangs
When the power cable is plugged in, battery charge normally.

I tried the different power cable, same thing.

Do you remember when this issue began to appear?
It would be interesting to know if something special that has happened in the past
You use the original Toshiba AC adapter that came with this laptop?

I think that this problem occurs due to the problem of the motherboard and I imagine that there could be some electronic problem power if the AC isn't affected adapter.

I think it would be the worst case, because it means that your motherboard must be replaced to solve this problem... motherbaord replacement is very expensive and, probably, it is not worth to fix...

By the way: is it possible to reinstall the system, while the laptop is conencted to the power adapter? What happens if enter you BIOS mode?

    Hello

I have a Toshiba Satelite A500 with an i5, nvidia GT330M with 4 GB of RAM card, I only use drivers for toshiba and in dead rising 2 there are some significant slowdowns tried

Patches as rename the dead rising2.exe etc., it did not work, I play my resolution 1366 x 768 and with shadows and zombies at the top with 16 AF, leaving the vertical sync, sampling and blur to the broad, the game is full of similar slowdowns trolling (character begins to run slowly).
More funny thing is that when I recorded with fraps (lock the framerate on) I can play smoothly with no slowdowns at all, I even tested and set of 4 complete (AA) and turned on the vertical sync and the game was playable with no slowdowns on very large crowds of zombies, when I play normally without stil fraps recording, when the game slows down Press f9 for fraps to start recording and the game starts immediately

Race "smooth", fraps makes very large files and in a short time it would fill my drive, the program limits setting I tried but delays were still present:-no opinion on this subject or

    possible correction for the game?

    Hi fiurion,

Very strange what s... To be honest I never heard tell that it is only possible to start the game when you run fraps...

You have installed an antivirus or firewall program that could block the start of the game?

Also I recommend that you install the latest version of DirectX and display driver.

    Restore point:

Try typing F8 at startup and in the list of Boot selections, select Mode safe using ARROW top to go there > and then press ENTER.

Try a restore of the system once, to choose a Restore Point prior to your problem...

Click Start > programs > Accessories > system tools > system restore > choose another time > next > etc.

If restore work not and you do not have a Vista DVD from Microsoft, do a repair disc to do a Startup Repair:

Download the ISO on the link provided and make a record of repair time it starts.

Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.

When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.

    Hi Kim,

The description of the problem seems a little unclear and I wish I had a better understanding before you start working on it. I appreciate if you could help me with more information.

    1. when exactly you receive this error message?

    2. are you on a computer in the domain?

3 is the Microsoft Security Essentials-specific issue?

The error messages say about group policy which is the collection of settings that define the appearance of a system and how it behaves for a defined group of users. Microsoft provides a program with a console (Group Policy Microsoft Management Console). The console allows programmers select a GPO that is linked to the directory of centers for domains, organizational units or sites. GPO provides the programmer with security options, the software installation and maintenance options, scripting options and the folder redirection options.

Older versions of PowerDesk Pro 7.x are known to cause explore crash, so that the sounds on the right.

The current version of PowerDesk Pro is 8.5.

You might be able to get the old version to behave by disabling PowerDesk one shell extensions at a time until when you right-click Explorer no longer crashes.  This will leave you with limited functionality of PowerDesk since those afflicted extensions will be disabled, but you should not have these extensions to do anything, you need to make sheets.

I would start with the PowerDesk ZIP shell extension (I already know about this one).

It is a version shortened and changed my notes on the use of ShellExView (since you already think sheets):

Download ShellExView here to see what Explorer extensions you have loaded:

    http://www.NirSoft.NET/utils/shexview.html

ShellExView does not install anything on your computer, simply of runs and displays.

After launching ShellExView, under Options, choose "Mark non-Microsoft Extensions" and extensions not Microsoft will be pink, clear, but on some systems which is a difficult color to see, so click on display, choose the columns and move the column Microsoft closer to the top, so you can see on your screen without having to scroll left and right.

Click on the column header for Microsoft sort display (by clicking on the column of Microsoft) then all the non Microsoft extensions are on top and easy to see.

Non-Microsoft extensions would be things you have added (non-Microsoft) and are what you should be suspect.

You can also Google the name of a suspect add-on and see if there is any success on the mistakes of the DEP and what other people have done about it.

For example, you could Google something like:

Explorer XP crashing (you must fill in the name of add your suspect on.)

See what kind of search results hits you get and are looking for solutions or situations that sound like yours.

Right click and disable Microsoft no suspicious extensions one at a time take a list so you can enable them again later if you wish.

The result of the change is immediate and no reboot is necessary.  Test your failure condition.  If the Explorer starts to behave, you will know which extension is the culprit, then you can start to enable them one by one until the Explorer fails again.

Don't forget - disabling the extension does not uninstall the extension - it is just disabled so you can always turn it on again.

Disable them one at a time until your right click on do not generate an error, then restart and test again.  You have disabled the last extension would be suspicious.  You can then start to reactivate other extensions to zero on the extensions that are causing your accident

If the cause of the accident is a third party application or program, their may be a later version of the program available that solves the problem.

If you find the offending extension that's the problem, please let us know what it is that I can add to my list.

  • Qosmio X 500 - blue screen or system crash when you play

I have problems with my new laptop.
The laptop is a week and I get frequent blue screen errors and system crashes when you play.
At this time I only tried to play a game: World of Warcraft.

    I have run on:
The original that came pre-installed graphic drivers.
The latest updated drivers from the Web from Toshiba site.
The latest drivers for laptop on the Nvidia site.
I also removed all the drivers and allowed Windows update to find it's own who have a different version again.

In these four cases, drivers seem to work fine for a while, but will eventually stop responding and the system crash when I start to play a game.
It happens shortly after the start of a game and other times it can happen after a few hours of game play.
Sometimes it will result in a blue screen, sometimes the game will change from windows with the error message on the display driver does not.

I also did a clean installation using my own copy of Windows 7 with the amount of the absolute minimum of software installed to rule anything that might cause a conflict which was preinstalled.

I also tried to run to run the game in compatibility mode, although I had no problem with my laptop last run the game in Windows 7.

The windows event log always indicates a problem with the graphics.

Did someone else has similar problems or found a solution?
For a laptop that is announced for the game, I would have thought that this kind of thing would not be a problem.

    Hey,.

In my opinion, it has something to do with the display driver or the graphics card itself I always use the most recent display of the official website of Toshiba (NOT nvVidia) driver because they are pre-tested. If you install the latest driver from Toshiba.

After this also make sure that you use the latest version of the BIOS. You can download on the official website of Toshiba too.

I put t know how long you have your laptop, but it should be cleaned from time to time (3-4 months). Therefore, you can use jet of compressed air to blow off the dust.

    Check it!
