  Recently, I decided to upgrade the OS on my satellite pro 4200 to Windows 2000, it was previously under Windows 98.

  For the LAN driver, you can use the realtek drivers because your machine is equipped with a realtek LAN card. Regarding WLAN I Check Device Manager and take a look at the hardware ID that is exposed in the "details" of the device that has the exclamation point. Just paste the hardware ID in google and search for it, you will surely find some hint what card is installed.

• Satellite Pro U500-10N drivers and utilities Toshiba Windows 7

  Windows 7 has been on the market for at least a year. And I can't believe it, there are only * 4 * drivers to download to a Windows System 7 x 32 bit (for 64-bit system there is * 145 *). When you install this system on U500 some drivers and almost all the Toshiba Utilities disappeared... and there is no place where you can download it from...
  Can you, team support, please do something about this issue? A lot of people would be extremely grateful for that.

  If you want to discuss with the team of assistance you should contact Toshiba hotline and explain the situation.
  You are right. Win7 is long on the market, but it doesn t mean that laptop manufacturers are supported on both versions (32 and 64 bits) for all models of laptops.
  Fact is that most old models of laptop computers come with Vista are supported for Win7 32 bit but all new laptops as your U500 are mainly supported for 64-bit version only.

  Global trends in computing, mobile computing and software development move forward and it is important to have systems always better and faster. This is the reason why all best sellers of cell phones offer more platforms with 64 bit OS only.

  To be honest I put t think that Toshiba will provide support of 32-bit for U500.
  I U500-1EX touchscreen and use original BONES I had with.

  As I already posted in your other thread the satellite L350-172 has been equipped with the card of Realtek WLan 802.11 g.

  Windows 7 should be able to use the Vista drivers if you need a WLan driver then check the Realtek page and try to install the driver for Vista!

  I bought this laptop with Vista I got a CD with the system and on this recording were already pilots and Add-ons for your laptop or other cool things like drivers Toshiba for camera, Bluetooth, Synaptics, dvd and a program or driver software I don't know exactly what it is, but such a cool thing that allows you to adjust the lighting on the whole Panel , including a laptop with the word "Satellite".   Does anyone have an idea on what all the additives in the CD that I got, it of Vista where, somehow, you can extract these extras or is a site where you can download all or a list of these additives to win game 7

  First of all, you can download all the drivers and tools on the Toshiba site:

  Illuminating buttons and illuminated satellite to install Toshiba Value added Package. It activates the functions on the FN keys.
  As far as I know that lighting can also be enabled/disabled in the BIOS. Check this box!

  The driver for the webcam is also listed on the Toshiba page and touchpad driver to allow virtual scrolling.

  It is not unusual that your HARD drive runs slower after the change of mode of AHCI SATA compatible.
  You have disabled the SATA feature and so you cannot use the benefits of SATA.

  And I must say that you are wrong buddy if you say that the AHCI mode does not work with XP.

  You can use the SATA in Win XP, but you must include the SATA driver first.
  Intel Storage Manager contains the SATA driver, and you could include using the nLite software.

  I own Satellite Pro M50, listed as a model on the official website of Toshiba - drivers and tools provided by Toshiba are only for XP and several of them for Vista.

  I installed Windows 7 32 bit and I am very satisfied with the speed of the computer now. Windows 7 was able to detect my devices (screen, usb, wifi, lan) and drivers updated successfully. Everything seems to work OK now.

  Problem is with Toshiba tools.
  MasterG (to whom I am very grateful, but I have not found a way how to address him directly) advised another user with the old model (M100-221) to use PPV and Flash Card Utility Support for series L500.

  What tools you want exactly?
  There are a few differences between XP and Windows 7 tools. For example, Power Saver already belongs to a package of added value, and you can find the parameters energy saver in Windows the Windows Management.

  The utility of touchpad you can download other laptops. AFAIK driver Synaptics and Alps Electric should work on all models, but you need to test, I n t have Satellite Pro M50.

  In addition a list of compatible tools does not for me. Just try it.
  Important is that you install Windows 7 versions or at least for Vista. I think that the XP don t work tools.
