  • Satellite L350-24U: Windows Vista crashes after installing SP2

    Hello

I own a Satellite L350-24U laptop with Windows Vista 32. I bought in October and had to reinstal the OS twice now. Still, it crashes after installation of Service Pack 2. After you restart the system, a blue screen appears, giving the following information

    STOP: 0 X 00000024 (0 X 00190444, 0X86B9BAD0, 0XC0000102, 0X00000000)

I had to reinstall Win Vista with HDD Recovery from Toshiba (press F8, then repair etc.) and everything worked properly again.
THS time, it's more serious. Last night the system shut down whenever you use internet explore (after about 30 seconds). SP2 has not been installed, but there are so many problems, I decided to install SP2, because I hoped that the bugs I had with SP2 would be eliminated. When installing SP2, the system crashed again, and now I got the same bluescreenmessage new.

I tried to reinstall Vista, but the Toshiba HDD program starts no more: it is said: the installed program is not working (or something similar) - please click on ok to close.

I did not burn the cd of recovery yet, so I don't know what more can be done and online support is closed today.
I'd really be very happy for any help
    Thank you

    Hello

I searched a bit on the Microsoft Web site and on the blue screen, I created this article:
    http://msdn.Microsoft.com/en-GB/library/ms793935.aspx

So I think that the reason for the BSOD is a corrupted file system or a defective HARD drive. You should check the drive using the Drive Fitness Test for example.

I put t understand why you didn't burn the disc of recovery yet. Why you didn t read the manual at first?
Now, you have only one option to get a new recovery disk: Please order a new Toshiba directly: https://backupmedia.toshiba.eu/landing.aspx

  • Satellite L350-170 - number of the motherboard?

    Hi guys,.

I need the motherboard reference number a Toshiba Satellite L350-170. I should be grateful if you would help. Thank you.

    Hi varioxx,

The problem is that here you can talk with normal like you and me only, and we don t have access to Toshiba databases to verify the part number.

So I think you need to contact a service provider allowed in your country and ask the guys for part number. You can give them a call, for example, I think he should take a few minutes to get the part number of technicians.
And by the way: guys can order the motherboard too!

You can find a list of aspic here:

  • Satellite L350-24U: how to clean the keyboard after having poured orange juice

    Hello out there.
I spilled my L350-24U with Orange juice.
    Now, I have 4 keys to self-retaining :-(

Can someone tell me how to clean the keyboard without damaging the laptop?

    Thanks in advance.

Hmm, it's still a stupid situation
Usually you can remove the keyboard of the laptop very easily.
The keyboard is fixed with screws hidden under thin plastic cover near the line of F1 - F12 key.

If you would remove plastic this cover then you would be able to remove the screws as well. Then you could lift the keyboard carefully and could disconnect the flat cable of the keyboard and the motherboard.

Notes; two small latches on both sides of the connector must be moved in order to disconnect the cable.

Then you could remove the keyboard and could clean it with a damp lint.
PS: the caps can be removed too.
But be very careful. You must raise the CAP to get it for free.

There are many videos on youtube...

  • Satellite L350-24U - freezing by copying

    Hello guys,.

Used yesterday, I bought this laptop, it seemed to have no problem, but now, the laptop freezes when I put a usb device like a USB stick in a copying some large files like isos or something. Sometimes it freezes whitout I do anything. I managed some landmarks like premium 95 and gpu-capsviewer hours and hours. No problem, so I think that this is not the graphics unit or processor.

I tried with vista home premium 32 bit and win 7 Enterprise 64-bit, selectet all the drivers for the toshiba page and the problem is both
    operating systems.

I hope you can help me!

    Hey Buddy,

This only happens to you when you copy files to an external drive or also I copy or move big files on the internal HARD drive?

  • Can't see the number of COA to my Satellite L350-170

    Hello

I just wanted to ask I have a laptop Toshiba Satellite L350-170 and the sticker on the underside that CoA is all gone and cannot see all numbers or anything about it either and now today have noticed the band interleaved the vista COA silver strip comes out is the certificate of authenticity.

Not my broof I own a legal copy of windows vista. Is there anywhere online I can order a new COA I could asell remove it as looks a right mess is easy to remove or he will leave a clue sticky nast and should never, I sell the laptop it will be always legal with no sticker on.

Why Microsoft did not cost as on Vista. They would never then fade.
    Thanks for any info.

    Hello Pulse

The AOC is not so important. Your laptop model comes with the pre-installed operating system and this number belongs to the version preinstalled only and you can not use this number with any other installation of the OS.

When you use the recovery image for the installation of the OS that you should not enable using this number, so when you go to sell your laptop just be sure next owner will get original Toshiba DVD facilities.
"I just hope that you created using preinstalled" Toshiba Recovery Disc Creator. Do you have?

  • Re: Not finding PLL (clock generator)

Hello dear community, I hope you can help me.

Last Christmas, I got a Satellite L505-10 days and the phone is very nice.

But im looking for the number of the clock generator and can't find it. I need it because I want to overclock my processor (please don't tell me now that a cell phone is not built for that I know what im doing), but nowhere in the Internet is something to find, and the Hotline's strange view of technical support.

It would be awesome if I get some answers.

    greetings.

    Hello

I'm sure you know what you're doing and I'm also sure you know that serger is not officially supported. So I do not understand why you think Toshiba support is strange.
Update CPU or serger is not taken in charge and everything you do is at your own risk. When you remove one screw at the bottom also, you will lose the warranty but you know that. Right?

What you can try is to contact nearest Toshiba authorized maintainer and ask for help. They have access to the basics of Toshiba and all material, especially these specific information about the build in hardware. Then maybe they can help.

I tried the drivers of toshiba for windows 7
I tried the drivers for Chicony, older and newer
I tried the drivers for the L300
I tried using F9 on the BIOS (which stopped from loading windows...)

I have now run out of ideas.

    Any suggestions?

    Hi briley,.

    > I tried the drivers of toshiba for windows 7
Usually the Windows 7 drivers are not compatible for XP because the drivers are different and is not compatible.

According to the site Web of Toshiba, Satellite L350 isn't XP support because there is no drivers for it, but if you are looking for all models (without model number) L350 CANF find you a driver for XP camera wizard.

Then just download and install this driver, it should work.

  • Satellite L350-14F - Vista cannot start the Realtek RTL8101e WLAN

    Dear readers

I'm Dutch, if my English is not very good, so my apologies for that but I have a big problem.

My Toshiba Satellite L350-14F with Realtek RTL8101E family PCI-E fast ethernet NIC (NDIC6.0 with Vista OS) cannot establish a connection with the outside world...
I tried many drivers, but all do not work... I can't find any other driver. So I guess there must be something else on the computer...

I reinstalled my computer while going to format all my hard drive and I have no CD of drivers for the laptop.
When I got a _wired_ connection, Vista can try solve the problem itself. He found a driver and then I am redirected to a site of toshiba... Where to download a driver from East. I start the download and installation, but then the installation says that I don't have a correct serial number...

All this me freaks out there... who can help me please?

    Greetings

PS: I checked my BIOS for strange things and one thing caught my attention on
I have an option: Wake On LAN anti-piracy. And it is disabled
BUT I can't change it to activate.

    Hello

First of all, it would be interesting to know what you mean without link with the outside world
The wireless network card is recognized correctly in the device (without yellow exclamation points) Manager?
The router is visible on your computer?

First of all, you must make sure that you use the latest WLAN driver on Toshiba website:
http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com-online downloads support & -online Download Driver

Additionally, make sure that you have installed the latest version of BIOS that you can find on the site of Toshiba, too.

You should check the WLAN Setup on your laptop and the router. Make sure you that you have disabled Vista of WLAN power save function. You can find this option in Vista Power Management.
Make sure that you use the same standard WLAN on your laptop as on the router, for example, 802. 11B or 802. 11 g.
Last but not least you must update the firmware on your router. You can find it on the site of the factory. After the firmware update unplug the router for 5 minutes of the AC adapter.

    Good luck!

PS: Wake on Wireless LAN has nothing to do with this issue. It of a feature that you can boot the laptop via a WLAN connection.

  • Satellite L350-171 dead after 2 weeks

    Hi all

I bought a Satellite L350-171 2 weeks of Tesco Direct. Went to the Toshiba brand because of rumors of reliability. A few days before, the computer could not turn on. Tried unplugging the charger/etc, but no joy. Called Support technique of Toshiba who said it looks like a hardware failure. No lights on the front - normally a yellow light indicates when the charger is connected. The charger is off 19V so I'm sure that's not the issue.

The last thing that happened was a Windows update that requires a restart, but there is no way a software problem will result in the hardware failure.

Toshiba suggested I ask Tesco for a replacement as it is less than 28 days old (which I did!). My questions are:

    (1) what type of hardware failure can cause the cell go dead without showing any sign of death?
    (2) the Satellite L350 series there the problems known - this happen with my replacement?
    (3) I am wrong to believe in the reliability of Toshiba?
    (4) anyone suggest some things I can try to bring back to life?

    Thank you

I'm sorry to hear you have such a problem with your laptop. my brother has had similar problem and ASP has set in only 5 days. Now he's happy again with its A300 Satellite again.

    (1) what's happening with your laptop? It is not easy to say what was wrong there and we can only speculate on this but I think that the ESF may be responsible for this. Faulty electronic board I assume.
    (2) this can happen with all computer laptop and we cannot say that this can happen on Satellite L350 only. If you want you can check out this forum and see what write other people on L350.
    (3) this problem can happen with 1,000 other products too. If you buy a Ferrari and gearbox is defective after only 100 km would you buy Ferrari again? I think you're going to do this. ;)
    (4) according to me, there is nothing you can do. Try to get the replacement.

    Good luck!

  • Re: Satellite L350-231: BootMGR is missing

    Dear people,

2 days ago my laptop had an automatic update, so I restarted my laptop and then he repeated a mistake then I thought ok the update was wrong.

I put my CD to repair in (which I was when I received the laptop) and now I'm missing bootMGR.

People told me that I can download an OEM legally and use the product key on the computer laptop auto.

Now my question someone knows how to fix this?
or someone knows more about the OEM?

    I have a Toshiba Satellite L350 - 231 system unit.

I hope hear from you soon.

    Kind regards

    Flying

    > People told me that I can download an OEM legally and use the product key on the computer laptop auto.
No, all I know is not possible. The serial number at the bottom of the device belongs to the preinstalled Windows 7 and can not be used with other versions of Windows 7.

    > Now my question someone knows how to fix this?
Well, the Boot Manager is required to start the operating system. If Boot Manager is damaged the operating system cannot be started, even if Windows is installed.
So either you can repair the BMR or you install the operating system once more.

To repair the BMR, you need the original CD of Windows 7 (or Vista). You cannot use the recovery disk to repair the OS because the Toshiba Recovery disk format the whole HARD drive and installs the whole image. So, you need the Microsoft disk.

Alternatively, you can set the laptop back to factory settings by using the recovery disk and the recovery disc can be ordered here:
