Satellite L350 freezes in games

I know this is not a gaming laptop, but was enough to run minor games. Everything was fine when I bought without any problem to report, but recently when I play the game will work fine min one (FPS and the smooth running of large) but then suddenly it freezes and I can't do anything and then returns to normal. I tried a lot... by turning any low setting on the game itself, the update drivers changing priorities on the game to no joy.

Running
AMD athlon64x2 TK-57 1.90 ghz
2 GB memory
ATI radeon x 1250

Any help would be appriecated

What do you mean with her returns to normal?

It s is not easy to say what is the reason for this problem, but you should try to update the display driver. Check the Toshiba site for an update:
http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com-online decision-making supported Downloads & => Download drivers
Don t forget to update the version of DirectX and Windows. Visit the Windows update website.

Maybe the laptop gets hot. Make sure that there is enough free space a turn the laptop and clean it with a jet of compressed air. This could blow out the dust from the cooling fans.
You hear the fan?

Have you checked the system requirements for the game? Compare this with the hardware of the laptop.

    Hello!

I have 6 years of cca laptop Toshiba Satellite L350.

On SSD, I install Windows 8.1 Pro MSDNAA (without HARD drive in the laptop). After that, I put HDD in DVD caddy and start portable computer. For now, Windows is not working properly, when it comes to the desktop it freezes, only thing I can open the Task Manager.

In the past, many people have reported on this. Problem is that Toshiba does not support these additional adapters and all people use some third party carts. In your case, I think that there are some compatibility issues.

If you have time to use the option of advanced search on this forum and try to find similar topics.
I use additional HARD drive, but as the external one.

It is unclear to me that some BIOS settings can be changed in this regard.

If this is not the case, how it would be difficult to downgrade from Vista? Is there a risk of bricking my laptop? could u do a list of things that I would need and a guide step by step on how downgrade but remembering I'm not a computer very know how nobody so keep it very basic =)

    Hello!

Downgrade from Vista to XP isn't very difficult and it should be possible that you can do yourself.

You need at least one drive in Microsoft Windows XP with SP2. Boot from it and follow the instructions on the screen. But you need the SATA drivers, the computer can recognize the HARD drive. For drivers, you need Intel Storage Manager, which can be downloaded on the site of Toshiba and this is workaround step by step how to do this:
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/KB0/HTD9401AN0000R01.htm

If you have installed XP, you must install all the drivers and tools for this. All what you need you can find on the Toshiba site:

  • Satellite L350 - where to find the latest driver for graphics card?

    I have a Satellite L350.
I installed a game (EVE online) and it works as it should; However when I use alt - tab, the game crashes.
It is not supposed to do this, and on the other PC it does not crash.

I contacted the technical support for the game itself, and after reading my dxdiag, they concluded that it was because my drivers are up to date.

They said specifically the graphics and audio drivers are the cause of the problem.
I have a Mobile Intel (r) 4 series express chipset family graphics card, and the driver is dated 06/12/2008.
my sound card is realtek audio and is dated 11/02/2006.
I tried to update the graphics card on the site of intel, but the program tells me the installation was not validated for this computer and I had to contact the manufacturer.

Anyone know where to find the updates compatible with computers laptop toshiba?

    Yours sincerely,
    LTA

    Hello trouble

Please remember you have laptop and not of office. What you have done is just and it will help with the office, but on laptops, the situation is very different.
Graphics card is suitable for the use of the laptop by Toshiba and downloaded driver from the manufacturer of the graphics card can not be installed.

As you know probably common problem with laptops is heat and temperature of the material must be controlled. Graphics card too high temperature can ends with overheating and book cut or damage the equipment. Toshiba laptop to protect material must ensure on the pilots and don t allow to run on the limit.

I must also say that your laptop is not game machine.

  • Satellite L350 and OpenGL 1.4

I saw similar posts in the past, but none of them could help me with my problem.

Background, I have a Satellite L350 with Windows Vista and you try to run a game that needs OpenGL 1.4. I already installed the site's current display drivers but still could not enforce. The next step was trying to download Intel display drivers, which are more recent, but I'm unable to install those that apparently the manufacturer did not check those.

Is there something that I am missing? Looking at the hardware requirements of this game

(OS: Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7 / processor: Dual Core 1.6 GHz or higher / memory: 1 GB (XP), 2 GB (Vista), 2 GB (Windows 7) / hard disk space: 140 MB of free space / video card: OpenGL 1.4 or higher)

The L350 should be able to handle this, right? Is there a way to test the version of OpenGL can run?

    Welcome them
    Stefan

Out of curiosity, but what game problems do?

  • Satellite L350 frozen/broken screen

    Hello

I hope someone can help me, I bought the laptop Satellite L350 2 weeks ago, I put in place exactly as the instructions told me to do and everything was fine. I used the laptop every day since I bought it because I was the synchronization of music on my ipod.

A couple of days, I went to connect and an error message came, he gave me a list of options to start the laptop - safe mode, safe mode with network, safe mode with prompt and open windows normally. I chose all 4 options and all charge / turn on the computer and I go to the step of the password, but every time I try to click on the Start button or whatever it is on my desktop from my laptop it freezes on the screen.

I checked the battery and all caps and turned on and off several times hoping that it to solve the problem but it doesn't! It is true that I didn't stop my computer correctly the last time that I used it, but I didn't have a lot of things open at once (if that makes a difference?).

I m really waste technology, I would be grateful if someone could share their knowledge on how to fix this or if you have had a similar problem and how solve you this problem?

    Thank you

  • Satellite L350 - built in microphone does not work after upgrade Win8

    Hi people,

I have this problem since I went from Vista to windows 8. my sound card seems to work ok. My webcam works also. I made sure I chose the right microphone on the Panel etc. so theoretically there is no reason why it shouldn't work... but it is not working.

im guessing it has to do with my laptop being old enough, so no compatible drivers? I have a Satellite L350.

    What should I do?
    falone buy headphones?

    best!
    Al

I understand that you want to use newer OS on this old piece of hardware, but it can be problematic to use it if certain model of laptop is not fully compatible.

I think you're the first person who reported thereon. Unfortunately, I can't help you with this but if possible ask a friend if you can get outputs audio headphones and test mic ports.
It will be interesting to know if you will be able to use the headset.

    Please post comments.

  • Satellite L350 does not connect to the internet, network adapter yellow exclamation

Trying to help my Nan with his laptop...
    Model is Satellite L350-170

Does not connect to internet, even using the Ethernet cable. Network cards have yellow exclamation marks on it and seems he needs an updated driver. How the hell can I download and update if it does not connect to the internet. And then, what update is necessary, because I searched on here and there is no update driver for network card?

She had various internet help from its supplier and a visit at home but still no joy. Internet works fine on other devices. Any advice greatly appreciated.

All the drivers can be downloaded from the Toshiba UE driver page.
    http://www.Toshiba.EU/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp
Choose your model of laptop in the form of download and the system that is pre-installed on you unit.
Then, you will get the list of drivers.

If you are not able to connect to the internet due to lack of driver LAN/WLan, then you another computer for download.

You asked how to remove the network card?
Usually, you need to access the Device Manager (in Control Panel) then we need to expand the area to network adapters and you will find the LAN and WLan card.
Click the single LED adapter, and then press or click on uninstall button driver

  • Satellite L350-171 - where to get the DVD to upgrade Toshiba (Vista to W7)

    Hello world

I have a Satellite L350-171 and got a W7 DVD update "awhile." I get only round to install now and the first thing I see in the instructions, it's that I should have a upgrade DVD Toshiba, which I did :-(

Anyone know where I can get one, or if I need any? If not then can I just upgrade and hope that all drivers updated automatically? Sounds a bit risky

I hope this is the right place to ask.
If it isn't then point me in the right direction and I'll ask here rather :-)

Thanks in advance for any help

    Damian

A few years ago, Toshiba offered this upgrade program.
It's over and you can't upgrade drive more.

What you can do is be upgraded using the original disc of Microsoft, but I think you should do clean install Win7. Your model of laptop is supported for Win7 and all necessary drivers, tools and utilities that you can download at Toshiba support page http://www.toshiba.eu/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp

Before starting with the upgrade Win7 create original Vista recovery DVDs.
If you need assistance with installing Win7 or if you have other questions, you are welcome.

  • Satellite L350 - How can I use my recovery disk?

I have a Satellite L350 and you must return to the original settings. I created a recovery disc but don't know what to do from here.

Before to start a restoration process, back up all important data. The, enter the Bios (F2 at startup) and the value of cd/ddvrom under the 1st boot device. Press f10 to save and exit. Insert the diskette and reboot the laptop. Then follow the instructions on the screen and that's it. Knowledge, during the recovery process that your computer restarts repeatedly :)

  • Re: Satellite L350-170 - cannot use cloned recovery partition

I have a laptop of s Satellite L350, one friend that I tried to fix it, but the HARD drive is faulty, so bad, that I can't create the restore disks. I cloned the image to another HARD disk partition (Yes, I created 2 partitions) which is a western digital, for some reason any when you press F8, I can't in the restore option, but I can't the disk faulty, is - because you use a Toshiba HDD only?

    Thanks in advance

    Chris

    Hello Chris

It has nothing to do with Toshiba HDD. This option works when the laptop is preinstalled with original recovery image. This with cloned partition will not work and recovery of HARD drive option will not appear in the advanced boot options.

Only when you install Recovery on this new HARD drive image, going to market.

One last thing: this old L350 works fine with Win7 32 bit so if possible install instead of using original Vista.

  • Satellite L350 - 21Q - hard drive upgrade

I have a satellite L350 - 21Q and while to love him as a machine in most ways I think it would be benefited greatly a larger hard drive. With this in mind, I started looking for a suitable replacement and found a 1 TB drive in size and uses the SATA 3.0 connection.

I'm not sure if the machine will support the drive and so I look to you guys for help. Anyone know if the drive works with the machine, or is two opposites. If this is true can someone advise me what SATA type works and this as the maximum capacity of the space on the hard drive please?

    Thanks in advance :-)

Unfortunately, Toshiba provides some specific information on hard drives compatible and tested.
In my opinion you should not notice a few problems with this HARD drive. It is important that you use the HARD disk with SATA connector.

You can order the new HARD drive, test and if something does not such as you simply want to return.
Your comments are welcome, because we do not have precise information about these updates.

  • Black screen after login on Satellite L350-20 q (normal mode)

My Satellite L350-20 q running Vista Basic.
After the connection, which is normal, I'm going to the arrow then turning to a permanent black screen when I start in normal mode.
In safe mode, I have a normal behavior and I can work. No malware present a Spybot report. But my Avast antivirus is doesn't seem to work in safe mode.
Do you have an idea about this problem?

A colleague advised me to update my graphics driver which is currently version 06/12/2008 Intel Corporation 7.15.10.I502 for Mobile Intel 4 series express chipset family. What is the URL and the name of the file to download the latest driver?

Post edited by: normal mode of nigelle added to the title.

On this virtual path, it is not easy to say what the problem is here. I don't know since when you have this strange problem but if possible, try to roll back the OS to an earlier time until she starts to happen. Use the System Restore tool to do this.

I don't know what is the seriousness of this problem may be but and if the display driver installation can help. To be honest I don't think. My advice to you is to back up all your important data and install OS again using recovery image installation. After doing this you will have factory again and everything will be OK.

By the way: I think that this old notebook is supported for Win7. A long time ago I ve installed Win7 32 bit on L300 and there HERE perfectly. Much better than the original Vista OS.
