To me, it looks like a hardware problem
Have you checked the adapter? The power is ON?

Possibly a defective power adapter could be the reason why the battery can not be charged and why the laptop stops during the startup process

    Hello

I have the Toshiba Satellite L350-170 and it's great. I am running Vista 32 bit and I got it for Christmas ' 08.

For a while now, just WiFi stop (if I use the webcam on msn or something) as if it is just overloaded, then I had to wait a few minutes before it turns back again!

Is there a driver to stay connected to the internet? In my taskbar, it is said that I am always connected, and when I check on ConfigFree (when I can't use the internet, but it says I * am * logged.)

    This can be solved?
    I hope you can help!

    Kind regards
    James K

    Hi James,

Maybe this problem is caused by the router. You should check the log of it. The router is always connected interruptions?
In this case an update would be desirable and let the ISP, check your Internet connection.

In addition, you can try updating the driver WLAN. The latest version is available for download on the Toshiba site.

  • Satellite C870D-10 t won't start - flashing cursor

    Hello

    I'm really stuck here,
A few days ago my laptop (Satellite C870D-10 t) began to have problems with its slowness and browsers started to freeze.
Of control of virus then did a chkdisk and then the real problems started.

When I tried to start (recommended), or reboot I get the message starting windows normally when choosing repair startup would start loading windows files then stop after the windows logo and go to a black screen with cursor.
Security modes do not work either.

I must of retries to more than 50 times until I then opted for drive recovery HARD and restore to the factory settings. After I did it I had a similar thing happenend.

Windows first loading of files, windows logo, Assistant recovery: choose language, then the screen with the white cursor black... sometimes I got error F3-F000-0001
Only on one occasion did he go a bit more far but left after the same error message I think.
Restarting the disc also has not worked since the first time I did the HARD drive recovery.

    ANY HELP is very appreciated

    welcome them

    Hello

I think that the HARD drive is faulty.
The cursor blinking in the upper left corner is a typical sign of a malfunction of the HARD drive.
I recommend you to check the new HARD drive.

Also a problem of RAM may be the reason for these problems, but I recommend check (replace) the HARD drive first.

  • Satellite A60 - recovery disc won't start plus-disque no bootable error

    Hello

I set the boot sequence to boot from the cd, but the message reads: no bootable disk.

I tried to open it with ghost, but looking for a password.

    Toshiba Satellite A60.

    Hello

First you will not be able to extract the ghost image file because it s set as you could see.

I put t know why you can't boot from the recovery CD Toshiba. But reasons could be:
-The CD is defective (zero, not more readable)
    -You used a bad CD
-The CD/DVD drive can not handle this CD because of the lens of the laser drive old and faulty.

Then you should check first if you can start on other Microsoft Windows CD to see if the CD/DVD drive is ok.
If it is ok, then there is a problem with your CD!

    I have an A300 PSAGDA-01Y00R.

I tried to Flash the bios to version 1.90. He started the process, and when I came back an hour later the cell phone was off.

When you turn it on, it has nothing now. I tried removing the battery and running on sector only.
Works for keyboard (as in light) and power works, but there is absolutely no action on the screen.

Is there anything I can try?

    Hello

    Try this;
Remove the battery, disconnect the adapter and wait 1 hour.
Then connect both devices and try to turn on the unit.

If this will not help, then you will need to contact a local ASP.
It seems that something was wrong during the BIOS update process and therefore, the laptop can not initialize correctly.

    Hello

You are right. There are, it's no BIOS which can be not started BOF on floppy or USB key.
You must update the BISO running windows OS.
But according to your message, it is not possible.

If you have no alternative but to contact the maintainer authorized Toshiba in your country.
Guys should be able to help you. I presume that the technicians have access to the traditional BIOS version that can be updated using a disk.

  • Satellite C660D froze and won't start - Windows could not start

OK, enough of the more dense person you will ever likely to meet when it comes to things like that. but will try my best to explain.

There are a few days that my laptop has frozen on me on me having to turn it off and start it again by the power button. When I started again the message below appears.

    WINDOWS ERROR RECOVERY
Windows could not start. A recent hardware or software change might be the cause.
If windows files have been damaged or misconfigured in, Startup Repair can help diagnose the problem, if the power was interrupted during startup upward, choose start windows normally.

    -Launch start repair (recommended)
    -Start windows normally

When I press launch Start up repair that it goes to a screen with a big cursor (that you can move) but nothing happens.
When I pressed the start windows normally put it went through the windows logo while starting but then stops at this point.

My question is, is - this easy to fix & if not where is the best place to consider to get fixed. Said I was dense enough: p

    Thanks for looking

    Dean

    > My question is, is - this easy to fix & if not where is the best place to consider to get fixed. Said I was pretty dense

I think its easy to correct, but you'd need a Toshiba recovery disc.
Have you created one in the past?

If not, try to start the HARD drive recovery: turn on the device, press F8. Now choose fix my computer.
Now new window should open, and here you must select Toshiba HDD recovery option. This would create the laptop back to factory settings.

In case this isn't possible, you will need to boot from a recovery disk to reinstall the system.

    Any help would be appreciated.

(The trouble started after an error I think it was a problem with wmv.dll?) I saw the message briefly so my memory is perhaps faulty)

  • G62 no lights, won't start

I have a laptop G62 age of 18 months.  Last week, I put on standby, unplugged and taken in a meeting.  It will not turn on.

I tried another adapter and tested my adapter on another laptop.  They the problem does not seem to be the adapter.

I tried pulling the hard reset (without battery, hold the power for a minute), but received no response.

If there is anything else I should try?

Other messages, I think I may need a new motherboard.  Is in any way confirm?

SNCE it was released or warrently, I guess I have to buy a reference parts surfer.  Is this true?

    Robert,

It seems that the system board must be replaced.  You can contact HP and they will fix it for a cost. It is possible, but difficult to do the repairs yourself.

  • Satellite U400-14 b turns off and now it won't start

    Hello

just got a new Satellite U400 this week.
Worked perfectly the first days, and then last night, it just turns off and now it won't start.

I press the button and the row of lights beside him light up, but nothing happens that I n t even get as much as the Toshiba screen.
I tried a lot of things. I left it plugged in all night, tried to take the battery and any results now.

Little led lights on the bottom indicates that it is his stuffy, battery is white not orange when you press they light up only for a fraction of a second.

The only thing I can compare it is too when a car won t start and you keep turning and turning the key, well in that case, pushing a button, and nothing happens, fans don t whir or anything...

    help please...

Additional memory (RAM) has been installed? Try to remove a memory Module and try another memory location.

If bad memory is not the problem, then there is not much else you can do except send it to an ASP for warranty repairs.
