Satellite L350D-213 repeated overheating and shuts down

Hello

Recently had problems with my Toshiba laptop Satellite L350D-213 of the he repeated overheating and if off, any suggestions as to prevent overheating would be greatly appreciated

Hello

There is a lot of advice about the overheating problem.
First the laptop stops automatically to avoid that the pieces of equipment from damage, the higher temperature may affect parts and this is the reason why the laptop stops.

Why the temperature is too high?
Well, maybe the cooling modules does not t run with the best performance because of the dust and debris inside the modules?
It is mainly the reason why fans do not twist and cannot cool the laptop.

I recommend to check this and remove dust and debris from cooling vents using a jet of compressed air.

I do from time to time, and it helps to clean the fans

  • Satellite Pro A60 - is overheating and shuts

    Hello

I have a problem with my A60. I start and everything goes OK. I put in a temporary monitoring software because it works for awhile and then just stop. What I see happening now, is that it will heat up to 65 then the fan comes on and at 55 it stops. This can happen a few times, and then he forgets turn on the fan. After that he climbs slowly until she happens to 85 when he cuts. I bought a stand 3 fans and now it stays on as long as when it goes on the fan circuit anointed, gets it to 77-80 and stays on. The problem is if I USE then overheating and stop again.

What control actually (and fails to start) the fan cut in the process. This part of the function of the BIOS? Updated BIOS ver 1.7 to ver 1.9 will make a difference? I'm afraid that this update will not end before overhearting and I'll be left with an unusable machine.

    Any ideas?

    Thank you.

    >.. .a finds a way to fix it properly.
This type of hardware components are not fixed but replaced so if you think that the cooling fan is defective exchange it.

One more thing, the vacuum cleaner is OK, but you can't wait to clean up your laptop to look like new. I disassembled my Satellite M70 and was surprised how much dust was inside.
Just after the withdrawal of the ventilation openings, I was able to clean it properly.

  • Satellite L350D - 213 Desktop gel after HARD drive recovery

    Hello

I'm trying to help a damsel in distress. Its Satellite L350D-213 would not start. Although I could boot mode safe, that's all I could do. I tried to save all its data, but could not do it anymore. I did a HARD drive recovery and everything seems OK until I started as usual, but when I tried to open programs and they did not open. Finally, I called for a Shut Down. It took more than 10 minutes.

I restarted in Mode safe mode and tried to open the pre installed on the desktop programs and there seems to be no problem. Closing together took 13 seconds.

Tried rebooting as normal and the same problem occurred.

I just feel that one of the system files is corrupted. More likely I'm wrong, so is there anyone out there that can advise?

    Thank you

    Stokkers

It is not easy to say what the problem is here. The programs that you try to start?
Corrupted files? I don t think so. You have installed the own recovery image and if there is a corrupted file even should arrive as soon as the first day.

Start your laptop and enter the BIOS settings, set the default value and reinstall the recovery image.
Configure Windows and wait for the operating system to start successfully. Don t connect the laptop to the internet and check again. Don t connect some external devices.
What you can try is to open the Task Manager and see if there is a background activity which needs a lot of CPU usage. You can try to stop it.
You can try to disable some applications at startup.

    Play a little with it.
There must be a logical explanation why this happens.

  • My Satellite L350D-213 is supported for TV output?

I don't know if I am able to view my laptop on my TV screen, I'm kinda a beginner at this stuff: S

I think that your laptop has port VGA only, right?
Of course, it also depends on what ports you have on your TV. If your TV is Cinch (yellow) port, you can use cable vga to bug and hopefully get the picture on the TV.

  • Satellite L350D-213 - update drivers on Windows 7

Bought by Satellite L350D-213 mi November pre-loaded with Winodws 7. System auto detect on Tosh site shows any batch of new drivers of Windows7, published 12/03/09. Wondering if I need to install these drivers.

Until now only prob was webcam "locked by another application" what hours of web research has shown to be very common, driver webcam last downloaded prob. issued on December 3 rd Cam ok for now, but only time will tell. It is advisable to go through the full list of applicable drivers or leave things as they are. Don't want to cause probs of the irrational.

    Any advice welcome.

    Hello

It of Nice to read that your webcam working properly now and it would also be my suggestion to update the driver on this subject.

However, if your computer works fine now I n t sees no reason to update all drivers. Why you should do?
I think the drivers are only available to solve the problems on other laptops or compatibility issues so if you n t have problems, you need to update anything. I can never recommend change a system up and running! ;)

So have fun with your laptop don t not worth updating the drivers.

  • Satellite L350D-213 - slow INTERNET access

    Hello

I have a Satellite L350D-213 and recently had installed BT infinity. When I run a test of speed through several sites I get an average of 10 Mbps and yet when I use an ethernet cable I 38 Mbps.

Is that what I can do to increase the speed of the wireless connection? Alternatively it is possible to update my card to use a Wireless N card?

    Thank you

    Hey,.

What operating system you are using?

You may need to disable management feature in Windows to energy WLAN power management. Have you already checked this?

Alternative, you can try to update the WLAN driver. Portal Toshiba WLAN, you can always find more recent and pre-tested WLAN drivers from Toshiba:

    Hello

    You have two options;
Either you install Win XP with SATA drivers or without the SATA drivers.

If you want to install Win XP without SATA drivers, you will need to draw the SATA AHCI compatible mode option in the BIOS. But in this case the HARD disk, performance would be lower.

If you want to use the SATA performance, then you need the SATA driver.
For this I recommend this HowTo:
+ How to integrate a SATA AHCI driver into a Windows XP Setup CD.

  • Satellite Pro A200-PSAE4E - computer laptop shuts down randomly

I've had my Satellite Pro A200-PSAE4E for about a year and a half now. He ran very well most of the time, but in recent months he has been stop itself randomly. There is no warning or "Windows is shutting down" he just me using my computer to a blank screen.

After frustrated with her, I did a full format my HARD drive and started from scratch. This does not solve the problem, and since then, the taskbar freezes. When I click on it I get the error and the hourglass cursor message "Windows Explorer is not responding... "I then have to click"restart", which makes the taskbar disappear for a few seconds before returning (usually without my sound icon).

The laptop turns off when it is connected to the electric network with & without the battery and when running only on battery, so I excluded all power problem.

I have considered it heats up too, but I use a block of cooling with built-in fans and has not himself in a few minutes after being hit not 24 hours, so I'm not sure that's the problem.

    Someone at - it ideas?

I am running WIndows Vista Home Premium 32-bit if that's any help.

    Thank you.

    > It worked fine most of the time, but in recent months he has been stop itself randomly.
    > There is no warning or "Windows is shutting down" he just me using my computer to a blank screen.

I think that the problem of overheating.
The fact is that the laptop would be down automatically stops in order to avoid that the pieces of equipment against damage.
In most cases this problem can be solved very easily. Using a jet of compressed air, you can remove the dust from the cooling modules and fans.
I clean my fans from time to time, because I noticed a higher temperature and the laptop was a little stronger.

    Check it out mate

  • Won't boot satellite L350D-213

    Hello

I have been through the forum and not found a solution. Laptop start-up problems.
    L350D-213
    Win 7 32 bit

A week ago I started having intermittent problems where the laptop wakes up not after going to sleep. I could normally solve this problem in power and restart. However, it has now to the point where I can't turn it on at all. The laptop starts, the fan starts to turn, the hard drive turns on but it goes no further. Nothing on the screen at all. I tried with a monitor and still nothing. If I have a USB mouse is plugged in when I turn it on the light on the background will flash briefly, then turns off

I tried to turn it on by holding down the power button, I tried without battery. I disconnected the battery and the power cable and pressed the power button / stop for a minute. Still having the same problem. This eveningi tookl the laptop out and attempted to remove the cmos battery. He's stuck hard but I managed to remove it (out of one of the connectors in metal in the process. It is now set down). Nevertheless, the same povlem that happens. Anyone has any ideas or I'm going to buy a new motherboard?

    Thank you

    Hello

I'm scared of m I didn't understand exactly what you did
You click the shut down button in Vista is it good?
And then your laptop goes into sleep mode? Is this good?

Please consider that the default action for the power button on the Windows Vista Start menu is 'sleep'!

If you want to change this, you need to go to
-> Panel-> Options change Plan settings-> change power supply avancΘs

Then go down to the option "power buttons and lid.» Here, you can change the options:
Power button action - changes the hardware power button action
Start - menu power button changes the power button on the Start Menu

Here, you can change the power in standby, Hibernate, or Shut Down mode button.

  • Satellite L350D - 12 M - BSOD and now it won't start up

    Hi all

I use my Satellite L350D almost everyday with no problems (it is around the age of 18 months). I left it over the weekend and when I got home I started it upwards and once everything was loaded I got the dreaded blue screen of death. I restarted my computer, but it is simply a noise whirring while the screen is off. I tried to leave message to see if the screen lights up, but apparently not.

When I started it again after leaving it from one day to the next I got to a screen where it says I pourrais either press F2 or F12 (I think), but the keyboard was not record the fact that I was pushing the keys.

    Any thoughts?

    Hello

Just a simple question: have you tried an external monitor on the laptop? Maybe the display internal doesn t work properly.
    Check this box!

However, in your case, I will try to remove the battery and the AC adapter. Wait an hour and then reconnect the two devices. Now, you should try to restart the laptop.

In the worst case, it s a hardware problem and you need professional help :(authorized service provider

  • Fan and shut down

    Hello guys,.

When I play video games, the fan is very loud, and when I leave the game, the Mac is running more slowly than usual for about the first five minutes. If I want to stop immediately after leaving the game, I let my Mac cool before shutting down, or can I simply arrested him while the fan still work very hard?

The reason for my question is that I am curious to know if it is "unhealthy" for the Mac to go from 100 to 0 just like that instead of let go from 100 to 0 and then stopping.

    Thank you in advance!

    Kind regards

    Mads

There is the thermal shutdown circuits in the MBP that prevents the MBP to destroy oneself against excessive heat.  It makes no significant difference when you turn it off.

    Ciao.

  • My computer keeps overheating and shuts... How to fix?

My computer guard gets hot and shut itself down... especially when I try to play games. Today, it will stop even when I tried to run a virus scan.  Any ideas on how to solve this problem?

    Hello

Clean the dust out of it and make sure the fans are working properly and vents are clear.

Disconnect the power before attempting to work inside.

You can buy cans of compressed air from computer stores to blow off the dust.

And if it's a laptop keep in a well-ventilated place and avoid placing on the bedspreads.

    See you soon.
